Angel? Not So Much
As usual, the truth starts to seep out, despite the media's best efforts to keep it under wraps:
- A Northern Illinois University student killed by Chicago police Saturday morning was home on winter break, and also out on bail for a number of charges he was facing in DeKalb County after confrontations with campus police, court records show.
Records from NIU police and DeKalb County courts show that LeGrier had at least four run-ins with law enforcement in the area, including three arrests that included charges of resisting campus police.
On March 1, LeGrier was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of resisting NIU police. He was arrested again May 6 and charged with aggravated battery in a public place and aggravated battery against a government employee after being arrested near his dormitory by campus police.
A predawn arrest at another dormitory on Sept. 2 resulted in charges of assault, disorderly conduct and resisting a police officer, records show.
Golly, it's almost like he had an inclination to attack officers or something. No word if any of those charges included a bat yet, but would anyone be surprised?

With all that's going on, it's important to know that not all citizens in this city look at us as evil.
This post is on a neighborhood watch site for the 10 and 20 sectors of the 12th District (North of Fulton to Division West of the river to Kedzie). It has 608 "Likes" and NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS! The interaction happened early on Christmas morning.
"Last night about 1 am I saw an older lady with a walker making her way down Oakley north of Chicago. I thought about stopping, but didn't. I felt guilty and circled and went back. When I got there I saw a guy get out of an SUV and walk towards her. I pulled out my phone to call 911, but then saw him take off his coat and could see he was a cop in uniform. I put down my window and heard him say, 'Don't worry, I'm a Chicago Police Officer on my way home. I just want to make sure you get home okay, too. Do you live nearby?'
"The lady said she lived a couple of houses down, so the officer stood by until she got in her house okay.
"With all the protests about cops now, I wanted to let people know what I saw a cop do when he didn't know anyone was watching."
The comments include:
"God Bless the CPD."
"Very awesome."
"Wonderful story, "Thanks for posting."
"This made my day."
"Awww, I got goosebumps. Thank you for sharing!"
"A wonderful Christmas story. Thanks for sharing."

Our Real estate tax bill will show a new line for popping these criminals. Easy 2 mil split in their pockets, along with the usual traveling rev' looking for a referrer fee. The woman' death is worth 3.3 million. The train engineer is a wash at 1.1 mil.

Hmmmm..... this paints a totally different picture of the "honor student", the "college engineering student" that the family and media are trying to beat like a drum to further their cause. If they'd tell it like it is it would significantly hurt their cause which is social unrest and the hopes of winning the ghetto lottery.
I'm more than a little surprised he wasn't expelled from NIU. Multiple arrests including agg/batt to a University employee. Very puzzling.

I wonder why the big boys, like the Trib and suntimes didn't run with this background info to paint a full picture...

I'm surprised there hasn't been another domestic at the same address by the family of the woman who was tragically caught in the crossfire. HE called the police on HIS out of control son and then called HER to open the damn door because the doorbell didn't work in HIS apartment. If he does win the ghetto lottery, her family ought to sue to shit out of him so he doesn't see a dime of it.

Trib put it in article detailing officers' side of the story.
If grieving daddy don't learn to keep his pie hole shut the ghetto lottery won't be making much of a payout. His attorney isn't doing him any favors by parading him around to the media with an ever changing story.

And YES, they account for the majority of campus disturbances, expulsions and...wait for it...ARRESTS. You need only ask University Police.
Not surprised he was a student at NIU. Even when my sister went there in early 90s it was getting sketchy. After a weekend visit, my mom wrote a letter to complain about the dorm policy of allowing students' children to visit (toddlers running up and down the halls). Now, they'll take anyone. NIU is a pipeline for CPS students who managed to graduate but need tons of remediation.
Did anyone ever find out where Laquan McDonald graduated from wearing the bright red cap and gown. It seems the news media intentionally did not mention school which tells me he would be revealed as an idiot should it get out. I think some one should ask the question.
At NIU, the program is called "Chance". It was instituted several years ago to give minority students access to college. On the surface, the program pontificated high hopes, however, it just relocated the hood mentality to Dekalb.

EXACTLY!
State schools accept CPS "students", even though they're reading at a 5th grade level. Knowing full well they won't make it past winter break, academically. But the school wants that grant and loan money. So, they allow them in.
A lot of times, once they inevitably drop out of school, they remain in the town to live. Thus, drastically bringing down the quality of life, and increasing the crime rate in said town. (See Champagne, Illinois)
He just had to spend the holidays with sperm donor dad and bitchrag mama....
If only he'd chosen to stay on campus and get wasted with the rest of his fellow scholarly chums......
Then, he'd never have met me.....
At least, not yet......
