- Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan on Tuesday asked the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division to investigate the Chicago Police Department’s practices to determine whether they violated the Constitution and federal law.
In a letter to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch, Madigan asked for an investigation into the department’s use of force, including deadly force, as well as the adequacy of its review and investigation into officers’ use of force and allegations of misconduct. She also cited the department’s training, equipment and supervision of officers and whether a pattern or practice of discriminatory policing exists.
This from an office holder who has yet to launch an investigation into any member of the democratic cabal running Illinois into the ground, most likely because Daddy told her not to. We're just surprised Lisa hasn't inserted her own office into some sort of investigation of the CPD. Or would that be a conflict of interest considering who she was seeing during a certain tumultuous time in the Department?

Anita will win re-election because the White voting block that the media pretends doesn't exist, and professional women think that the media and race baiters are being unfair to her. The ILETSB can't even stop Chicago from granting police powers to untrained/uncertified private security guards (see MCC 4-340 et seq. if you never heard about it), far less handle IROCC (they are in Fed. Court now for denying a decision on 4 retired Cook County court deputies concealed carry-related RECORDS). If prison sentences aren't enough to deter misconduct, do you really believe pulling a cop's license would??

My guess is there was a backroom deal a long time ago that the USDOJ gets to vet and approve any superintendent to avert USDOJ taking a closer interest in the day to day running of the department. That is probably how the last two guys ended up as top cop.
I predict a retired federal judge takes over next.
