- Chicago police shot fewer people in 2015 than recent years despite police-involved shootings that have drawn national headlines.
The Chicago Tribune reports officers shot 22 people last year, eight of them fatally. That's a 40 percent dip in the total number compared with 2014 when 37 people were shot and 16 killed.
A 40% drop? How is that possible? We saw a nearly 11% increase in homicides and just short of 3,000 people shot...is the media now saying that cops aren't responsible for the massive uptick in bloodshed?

The amount of offenders shot by the police in chicago is down for 1 reason and 1 readon only. We, as a police force, are Much much less proactive than in years past due to the obvious current events and a liberl and biased news media. Period. Case closed. You know the world is upside down when the left-leaning New York Times publishes an article stating that the men in blue aren't the murderers that the BLM and the nine-digit midget say you are.
BLM only exists to change policing policies in order to maintain the prolific criminal life style of their community. They want police off their game in order to continue, dope slinging, robbing, and all the other criminal activity that is the norm in the community.

So the Chicago Police Department in reality, has really been doing a good job in its education of officers and their restraint in the use of deadly force even though the city is experiencing a spike in deadly violent crimes and offenders armed with deadly weapons.
This article by the Washington post however does not fit the devils, black lives matter or the race baiters narrative.
The reality is there needs to be an overhaul by society who has been brainwashed by the media, politicians and race baiters that the law of the jungle is the new law of the land.
Tell me how we have as a society have gotten to the point where certain young men of primarily one specific race can violate the law prompting a police response and then when they don't obey lawful police commands and wind up dead or shot by the police, the original crime that prompted the police response is forgotten and the narrative turns to trigger happy police.
Well this is what happens when a certain segment of society is allowed to ignore the law of the land and lives by the law of the jungle. Those who enforce the law of the land will always be the enemy of those who live by the law of the jungle. IPRA's acting chief administrator Sharon Fairley plans to address the staffing overhaul and her vision for the agency going forward at a news conference Monday afternoon, according to the authority. The changes will include the hiring of a new chief of staff and chief investigator; establishing a community outreach manager for support and communication with complainants and witnesses; and a revamping of the legal team for additional oversight of the investigative process.
Fairley was appointed by Mayor Rahm Emanuel in early December. Her formal introduction came hours after the U.S. Justice Department announced a wide-ranging civil rights probe into the Chicago Police Department, including its use of deadly force.
Since her appointment, Fairley also has turned over the administrative investigation into the shooting of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald to the Chicago Office of the Inspector General and reopened the IPRA investigation surrounding the treatment of Philip Coleman, a 38-year-old man whom Chicago police tasered in his jail cell and dragged down a Chicago police station hallway in a 2012 encounter that was caught on surveillance cameras.
Fairley was a federal prosecutor in the U.S. attorney's office in Chicago for eight years and served for about eight months as first deputy and general counsel at the city's Office of Inspector general!

Uhh, there is no reference to the New York Times in this SCC post.
The article referenced is in the New York post [a very conservative paper owned by Rupert Murdock] that quotes from the Washington Post story that which, while accurately quoting shooting statistics, did indeed have a liberal bias built into it's story.
Why am I pointing out that your post is filled with so much misinformation? It's not to belittle you [after all, it's anonymous] nor is it being the spelling or grammer police.
I'm pointing out that your post is a spot on example of what is wrong with the media in general and particularly the internet:bad information, be it intentional or by mistake, and then people taking it at face value rather than doing a bit of research on their own.

Did a little separate New York Times research and they too did a biased anti police article on December 29th with regards to the Cleveland shooting.

That's exactly what happened in Baltimore, and it didn't end well for the few Orioles fans who decided to do exactly what you wanted bears fans to do.
