This Guy Looks Familiar
- Police have released photos of a man they believe witnessed several crimes around the Chicago Museum Campus in December and January, including assault and theft.
“Police are seeking to question the unidentified subject believed to have witnessed multiple misdemeanor incidents that took place in the vicinity of the 1400 Block of Museum Campus Drive,” states the alert issued by police Wednesday.
The incidents took place between Dec. 26 and Dec. 31, according to a police crime database.
Witness? Hahaha......sure. Maybe we were on to something back then.

Since when is anyone concerned about witnesses to misdemeanors?
Maybe this is a politically correct way of saying this man is wanted for questioning in a possible future act of terrorism that back in december was ignored. I'm just speculating but I wouldn't put it past the powers that be to have ignored this in december hoping nothing would come of it only to realize now that there was and is a credible threat. Sacrificing human lives for the sake of political correctness is the new america.
If the guy witnessed stuff and he hasn't came forward than obviously he doesn't want to fit involved.
Why am I afraid the next time we see him will be after some sort of terrorist attack. I mean work place violence/spontaneous video demonstration.

How about they tell the truth. This subject took pictures and video of Soldier Field, very detailed footage I am told at 0500 hours. He was approached by Monterey Security and fled on foot making good his escape. Obviously it would be a prime target for terrorists, so how about we tell our own so we can be on alert. I can't believe they want us to believe he is a witness to a crime. If that is the case WHICH IT IS NOT, provide the RD numbers.

Tell the public that this is a terrorist suspect who was photographing every detail of Soldier Field at 5:30 AM on a Sunday, and maybe something shakes loose. Not like he was taking ice cream cones from kids...
I don't understand why CPD doesn't use the facial recognition software the department installed on their computers in organized crime? I was under the impression that Motorola installed many of the cameras on lower walker drive and around the downtown area and they provided the software for us to use. What seems to be the problem? Did Motorola sell us a crap system?

The real sad thing is that there are no police patrolling the museum campus. Maybe an occasional bike patrol. This place generates money. Where are the tactics guys. I know 1 is busy with protesters but they need a car assigned here at all times.

My understanding is, and please correct me if I'm wrong SCC;
With the exception of the meters on Solidarity Drive, the whole campus is Park District Property. As such, I do believe that is a special detail when Unit 211/212 isn't cruising around on their bicycles looking for parkers to write during the day time. And since what's his name, the old Sgt I remember from over there back in 07-08 & 09 retired, I don't think there has been a permanent 001 car presence on a regular basis. One would think the Park District security force based out of the old Meigs Terminal might be patrolling but hey...
