FBI to Clear Police Officer

  • Sneed has learned the FBI has joined a probe into the deadly police shooting late last December of Quintonio LeGrier, 19, whose neighbor, Bettie Jones, 55, was accidentally killed in the same incident late last December.

    • Translation: Just days after the incident, State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez — who also called in the feds to assist in the probe of the Laquan McDonald police shooting — asked the FBI to assist in the LeGrier investigation, calling it a “deeply disturbing incident that demands a very deliberate and meticulous independent investigation.”

    • Backstory: LeGrier and Jones were shot and killed by Chicago Police [...], responding to an early morning call for a domestic incident involving a bat wielding teen at an apartment building at 4710 W. Erie Street at 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 26. Jones, the mother of five, was accidentally shot while standing near the front door of the building.
So the feebs are here to conduct the same kind of thorough investigation that eventually cleared Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson of any wrong doing. Maybe they can stick around and see who ordered the controversial McDonald video to be withheld to influence and election, or where nearly $70 million in pension money disappeared, or why a federal wiretap was pulled down as a sitting governor was about to mention some very high-ranking names in Illinois (and national) politics...oh wait, forget that last one.

The kid from this shooting will
Be 100 percent OK. It was an absolute tragedy and mistake, but a mistake while performing your actions as a police officer don't amount to premeditated and calculated murder. He was acting in accordance with the law. The fact that she was also shot is a tragedy and not criminal on the part of the officer. Don't worry kid, I work with a lot of Feds on a task force and even they know that there is no way this case will ever get charged. Hell, you won't even have to deal with the lawsuit that long because the lawsuit with the woman's family will be settled quickly, the one with the offender might be worth fighting since he caused this situation. Stay strong kid, it will get much better and in years you will look back and say it was a scary time but I got through it and worried a lot more than I should have.

Good luck to the officers involved.
Remember Martha Stewart was not charged with insider trading. She was convicted of lying to the FBI when she talked to them without a lawyer. Scooter Libby didn't leak Valerie Plames name. Colin Powell and his minion Richard Armitage did that. Scooter was convicted of lying to the FBI after he remembered a conversation differently than a reporter remembered it.

So now not even the top State’s Attorney, Anita Alvarez, is competent to investigate? Absolutely, pitiful but then again that's what you get when you pander for votes.

The FBI can always be counted on to conduct an impartial, and fair third party investigation. They are apolitical.

Alvarez called in the FBI because she doesn't wanna touch this one. So what does she do? Put the responsibility on the FBI to investigate and if they determine that charges are warranted (and she clearly knows they're not) then the onus is on them. She doesn't want to take shit from the public for not charging the officer. And if she actually did charge the officer then this would be the second officer within a year that she knowingly wrongfully charged with murder and more than likely two not guilty verdicts later she'd really be looking like an incompetent fool out to fuck over cops. Game point, nobody wins including her. Politics is a bitch ain't it AA?

Actually, the CCSAO routinely notifies the FBI after a police shooting. The only difference is the rhetoric in announcing it.

One has to wonder how thorough the F Bee Eyes investigation of their own agent; who smoked the dude stealing hubcaps in the parking at Roosevelt and Ashland was. Never heard any more about it. Why did Feeb draw his weapon "on a minor property crime"? Why didn't he let the offender "just drive away"? Feebu don't realize poleecin in the hood isn't that easy.

Hey Chicago Aldermen here's some education, lets start holding family members of the mentally ill accountable for not monitoring their medication consumption and neglect for not actually (THE FAMILY MEMBERS) taking them for treatment and staying with them instead of the free ride by police to just go drop them off for treatment and meds. Your mentally ill family members are NOT the responsibility of the police in spite of what any politician may say and no it's not being insensitive its making you accountable and responsible for them. Hey Chicago do you know the police and fire department on a daily basis drive lone mentally ill people to the hospital without any family accompanying them and just drop them off by the dozens. this is the problem.

Now, I hope the officer's lawsuit for compensation as a result of the Pain and Mental Anguish the actions of the deceased caused him; I hope the Officer's lawsuit progresses and he receives a substantial settlement, maybe even a Disability Pension for what the Feds, Dept. and Alvarez put him through. Then again, maybe he should have just taken a beating from the baseball bat, until he sustained brain damage. Would the Feds have investigated that? Baby"G"

Think this officer was not a regular "I went to college" recruit! This man was and is "Once a Marine always a Marine" if he thought his life was in danger and did his job, what does that say about any of us? the answer simply is this great officer prevented harm to himself, his partner the community! This is a straight out great job, the lady unfortunately was shot and died! This officer needs to be cleared immediately and officer invited (Like they did with the thugs who sued the city with Burge, where the council like trained seals turned around faced thugs family and gave them a 5.5 million dollar check from the taxpayers criminal liars getting paid again), to city hall Burke could talk some nonsense and hand him a check for 10 million for what they did to this officer and offer him a shiny gold star position Semper Fi

From what I've heard this was a good shoot. So hopefully the FBI digs in and comes up with that conclusion.
