If you paid attention you would know that every WRONG ISR that you fill out gets kicked back to you and is recorded. And it can go towards progressive discipline.

SCC you probable get hundreds of these nonsense calls, but since the punk with the bat attacked police and played games by lying on the phone with 911 operators calls like these are responded to while the people that pay taxes and have real need for 911 response are made to wait and suffer to felons and criminals! Ridiculous!

6:54am. The post said go back to your training. We were all taught what a Terry Stop was in the academy. We dont need any new training in that. If someone needs training in how to conduct and when to conduct stops there was always something called the law to refer to. The actual decision would be a good place to start. Reasonable suspicion has not changed. None of that has changed except for the form we use to fill out and the receipt. The sgts arent the only ones that will be tasked with giving out discipline. Sgts dont like to give discipline. It creates too much paper. I do blame the sgts for signing the crap contact cards in the first place. I do blame the officers for turning out crap cards in the first place. And I blame the idiot bosses that use contact cards as a measuring tool for performance. And the idiot bosses that used it and still use it to that end. They are still crying for these in the districts. Calling in coppers with zero cards asking for an explanation and dangling their cars, watches and partners over their heads. That is why we are in this predicament. Don't be an idiot and blame this shit on the sgts. In some cases we will have no choice in the matter and will have to do something about crap cards that are being turned in. All the revisions are kept. Read the order.
Tell him to kick his own door in and pay for the damage with the extra weed money,that should make him bust a brain cell!

Looks like someone just got his Sgt stripes. Wearing the stripes a little heavy there, junior..aren't you? Thank GOD you didn't come to my district. We would chew you up and spit you out.
When civilian dispatchers took over everything changed. At Van Buren and Dearborn there was a high end luggage shop called DEUTSCHE LUGGAGE. When the burglar broke the window and fled southbound on State Street, the dispatcher announced he was fleeing with a "Douchebag". As my paartner and I were responding, I almost fell out of the car, I was laughing so hard.

To the above "Junior KNOW - NOTHING patrolmen" :
If you fill out an ISR that is going to "redlined" by the department, AND it's approved by a sergeant.. both YOU and the sergeant will get disciplined.
This includes filling out an ISR when you are not supposed to.
Therefore, as a 20 year sergeant I would not be dumb enough to approve it.
This job ain't rocket science.
Just do the BARE MINIMUM.
Put a beat tag on the damn car (make one up if it's missing)
Turn on the stupid camera and microphones if there is no ticket # on them.
IF YOU DON'T you get a day suspension and so does the sergeant for not baby sitting your $80,000 dollar year cry baby asses correctly.

So..... the difference between civilian dispatcher and sworn is that the sworn guy would have said it INTENTIONALLY, but the civilian didn't know any better.

Years ago in the 18th District there was a call about a woman who just brought home a beautiful blue eyes Malamute. It had snapped at her and we went over there with a wagon and I happened to have a dog noose. No big deal.
We took the dog into the station and it was not only beautiful but very friendly. Until approached by a female, then it began to snarl, bark and snap.
We followed procedure and inventoried the dog and placed it in the animal pens in the garage. When we came to work the next night the dog and all the paperwork, including the Missile-X card was missing. Somebody got a nice dog.
The caller that night, direct to the station.
Mayor Jayne Byrne, RIP, always glad to do her a favor.
