Nice Hood Rahm
- Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s neighborhood CVS Pharmacy was robbed this weekend for at least the fourth time in 18 months.
Employees at the 4051 N. Lincoln location called police around 2:40AM on Sunday after a man walked up to the counter, pulled out a knife, and took about $60 from the cash register, police said.
The offender is described as a 40-year-old white man with dingy pants who stands about 5’8” tall and weighs about 190 pounds. He was last seen running across Damen toward Belle Plaine.
Similarly-described offenders robbed the same store at knifepoint at 5:15AM on February 17, 2015, and at 4AM on July 24, 2015.
The store was also robbed at gunpoint by a different offender on January 16, 2015.
Who'd want to live near this decaying neighborhood? First, all these robberies, and second, Rahm lives there.

Why doesn't RAHM & his alder minions admit error and re-open the 13th & 23rd Districts? It seems like the only closed station that hasn't been missed is the 21st. The only thing that will convince RAHM is if his son gets mugged while trying to call his guidance counselor.
Of course the "white race" is given.
Two things: does this pharmacy even need to be open during the wee hours of the morning, and they can afford to loss of chump change?
He needed the money to buy SAT Test Prep materials for tutoring the Mayor's kid?

Sorry but it's obvious that this CVS is now known as a place that gives it up w/o a fight. So one of three things needs to happen:
1) Stop being pussies. Carry a .45, have extra ammo. They pull a knife - shoot the jagoff. They walk in with a gun in their hand - pull your gun and tell the fucker to stop and drop the firearm - if they don't, shoot the moron.
2) Plexiglass the whole place 4" thick. Staff on one side, jagoffs on the other. Money goes in the turnaround trap, then the product comes out.
3) Close up shop. Time for a "Pharmacy Desert".
You can bet Rahm still has a crib in DC, but just as dicey. Chicago was only a quick stop to realign the Daley Corruption Machine. However his aspirations to become a Hillary Cabinet or Chooch of Staff are dwindling rapidly.
So much for his "neighborhood" even with his entitled extra police presence.
There's a Starbucks right down the street. The CVS should have an excellent police presence.

So 0318 on 24May- if I carry a 9mm am I still a pussy? Do some research. There is virtually no difference in ballistic effectiveness between the police service calibers. Stop the 45ACP nonsense. It may have been true during WWII but no more.

Correct Batman! His neighborhood is part of crime city, but he rolls in those non-green suburbans, like storm troopers driving tanks exhaust spewing and fuel wasted "green mayor" definitely not! rahm has how many bodyguards? Costing taxpayers wht 3 million minimum? his kids get chauffeured valet CPD drivers everywhere! The kids he said "should be treated like mine" OK mayor you think your royalty, a tuff guy but cannot even lower crime rate near your own home area! No confidence vote for you and your 50 crew!
I grew up in that neighborhood in the 50's and 60's and it was great then. Now it's been yuppified and turned into over priced bullshit in every way from real estate to the goddamn food at the diner grill on Irving pk. Rahm the Trotskyite was the final nail in the coffin. Breaks my heart. Things only get worse here.
Cheap ass companies don't want to hire security for these 24 hour sites. Just like banks, they figure that the loss suffered is less then the cost of security until someone gets shot by bad guy.

One cashier with a small firearm could put an end to this criminals bad habit. Surprised it's a white guy but, diversity listen closely, I'd still shoot the s.o.b.

I noticed that, too. Isn't it RACIST of local media to report the offender's skintone when they're white or Hispanic, but not when they're black? I'm feeling disrespected and I'm calling the ACLU. Fair is fair.
(OT) and another FOR friend of rahm joins Lucas hey George no one except connected construction companies want that crappy looking building on our lake front take it to the land of fruits and nuts California! Rahm is going to put taxpayers on the hook for 2 billion dollars to give for building that relic here:

Looking at Google Maps, there is the North Center Chamber of Commerce across the street from the CVS.
I wonder how they sell that neigbhorhood.

Shoot the guy with the knife, but give the guy with the gun a chance to shoot you first? God,I hope you're not the police. Which of those two us going to have an easier time hurting you? How long does it take to say "stop and drop that firearm, please" and how long does it take for the asshole to point that firearm at you and get off a few rounds? I'll give you a hint: you'd have a few extra holes in you before you finished your warning. If someone walks into CVS with a gun in their hand, and they're not a police officer responding to some call for service where a weapon in hand makes sense, there's a really good chance they need to be shot. If a man with a gun in his hand doesn't seem like a deadly threat that needs to be met with deadly force to you, please don't even bother carrying a gun. Also, I'm sure you mentioned a .45 because of its almighty "stopping power." The .45 round isn't magical and doesn't instantly knock someone down and kill them like you see in the movies. 9mm works just fine and you get to carry more of them in your weapon. Whatever you can shoot must accurately and carry the most ammo for is what you should carry. Whatever benefits you'd like to believe .45 has over 9mm, nothing changes the fact that shot placement is the most important thing.
All that being said, if you work at CVS and someone threatens you with violence to make you give them money belonging to CVS, give them the fucking money and throw in a few coupons and whatever they want to grab from the shelves. There's nothing in that store, including the money, that's worth your life. I'm all for robbers and other violent criminals getting shot and killed by their intended victims, but don't endanger your life or well-being to protect some giant corporation's money. If you can get off a few shots and are confident that the bad guy can't, go for it. Otherwise, leave your concealed weapon concealed and remember whatever you can about the offender so that the police can try to find him later.
Who'd want to live near this decaying neighborhood?

.45 v. 9mm: The great argument that only Cops and Firearm Enthusiasts are interested in. Criminals just don't care - the idea behind the .45 is a BIG BORE that they get to see - maybe if you tell them to back off, or maybe if that's the last thing they see before they hit the floor.
