Suburban Chase Through City
- A suspect in a death investigation led police on a chase that started in west suburban Lombard and resulted in two crashes involving law enforcement vehicles in Chicago on Wednesday night before the suspect eluded authorities.
On Thursday, Mayor Rahm Emanuel questioned whether the chase was worth the risk.
“There’s a question there. At the end of the day, the [suspect in] the homicide in Lombard, driving through Chicago, I think, to the airport, still got away,” Emanuel said.
See? So if they get away, then there was no purpose in chasing in the first place. We certainly hope everyone is getting the message here.
- “One of the apartments that were hit was not far from where I live. So, there’s a real question. This always gets evaluated when there’s a police chase, which is about both getting and capturing a person who committed a violent crime and then, obviously, the risk to everybody else.”
Emanuel said he’s not about to “second-guess” Lombard police. But, he said, “There will be people that look at that."
Rahm said as he second-guessed. Are you getting all this?

Being practical and using common sense, for once the mayor is right. The cost way exceeded the gain. There are safer and better ways of catching the bad guys.
Maybe Rahm could leave the policing to the police and try really, really hard to attend to some aspects of mayoring. He's doing a shit job of it, to date.

Lot of stuff has gone "citywide" now. The shooting from cars, at people in other cars, has burst its banks. Innocent woman got killed up in Wisconsin the other day. News radio reports that a banger got shot in another car-to-car at 1100 N. LSD -- it really seems to be drawn up to the Gold Coast now, all Rahm's bright lights -- and drove itself all the way back south to Comer Children's Hospital, from where it was transferred all the way back north to Northwestern. Like they say, some of these deals are costing taxpayers $250,000 and up per incident.
Another high-end store on Michigan Ave. got hit, a carload runs in, takes thirty seconds grabbing every $3,000 handbag it can tear loose from the security cables, then small white veh. books.

That same justice Department refused to prosecute a single person in the IRS scandal, the black panthers when they were caught intimidating white voters in Oakland, Eric Holder saying no black person will ever be charged with civil rights violations while he is in office. That is just the tip of the iceberg regarding their errogance. Add to that the worst economy in modern history and the almost non-existent recovery but yet the media can not say a bad word about our Mayors former Boss.

The president of the United States is granting clemency to major narcotics traffickers every year. Don't get caught in the hype and get yourself caught in a bad situation. It's not worth it. What I find amazing is the way the newsmedia went on and on about how the chase violated CPD rules. Here we have the Police risking their lives to take a MURDERER off the streets and all they can do is rant on about rule violations. Citizen reader: I think when the cops catch up to this asshole, (not Rahm, the asshole the cops were chasing) Rahm is going to see something important happen. He will not notice it of course but many of the offenses happened in Du Page County and others in Cook. I am certian the Cook County charges will be pled down. But in Du Page, he will be fully charged, fully tried, full convicted, fully sentenced and fully fucked when he does the full prison time if you know what I mean.
That Rahm is how justice works in Du Page. And hoodies remember, juries in Du Page don't care how that much if you are not guilty of some of the offenses, they say you are so good bye. Go to jail.

Was Rahmulus, who only recently was running with the Police Memorial Run to Remember, thinking of the injured officers when he took a swipe at the various police agencies involved? Who does he expect to review their actions? Du Page county prosecutors will tell him to STFU. What serious crime, if not murder, should police pursue? Maybe a dope deal turned robbery like the one his son was involved in?
Maybe he'll ask Madigan to direct Little Lisa to have her hack investigators look at the chase? And let's not forget NBC 5 who coincidentally featured an "investigative report" on the issue of police pursuits the same day this HOMICIDE occurred.
