- A 16-year-old boy was arrested Friday in last month's killing of a city of Chicago dispatcher, who was shot as she left a coffee shop near police headquarters by gunfire intended for a man who is gang member, authorities said.
Yvonne Nelson, 49, of Chicago, who had recently finished her 14th year with the 311 Center, was shot in the chest as she walked out of a Starbucks at 35th and State streets May 20. The intended target was shot several times and injured.
And surprise surprise, a repeat offender:
- The boy was put on probation in 2015 for multiple robberies he committed in 2014 using a BB gun.

The defendant was 15 years old at the time he committed the crime of first degree murder. That should be an automatic transfer to adult court. However, Toni Preckwinkle, Kim Foxx and State Rep Elaine Nekritz recently lobbied and changed the law. Now this murderer is no longer subject to automatic transfer thanks to Preckwinkle/Foxx and Nekritz. And the three of them are very proud of their work. Kim Foxx was so proud of it that she used it as her campaign platform. It's sickening. Expect more to come when they take over the State's Attorney's Office. They are going to destroy this city and this county. Law abiding citizens will have no choice but to move out taking their tax dollars with them. The city will be left to the miscreants and criminals. And then Toni Preckwinkle, Kim Foxx and their limousine liberal allies will really have something to be proud of. Gross!
