I just read through those emails......all I can say is WOW, there ALOT of hand jobs writing "heart felt" emails...
Much of Spielfogel's time of late had been focused on managing the fallout, from drafting new police procedures to helping roll out the mayor's new police task force.
Garry.McCarthy was not the only email address he used. He also used GMAC@chicagopolice.org and I think he also used superintendent@chicagopolice.org but I think that last one was just assigned to his office. I know for a fact that his personal one was GMAC@chicagopolice.org. The Trib should FOIA that one. While there at it here's a list of others that reveal some interesting facts:

Good l, so long VRI. No more dogs who work time and a half and bring in zeros and watch movies. I love the excuse of, I've got time on and it's my day off I'm not doin nothin. Finance is getting a lot of complaint emails from the Aldermans office about Permit Parking Violations at night around the Northwest Hwy and Olmsted/Oliphant and Higgins and Harlem areas.
The Department of Finance is considering a Night shift pilot program to put someone out in 41st and 45th and 39th and 50th Wards from 4pm to 12am.
Might be time to dust off the Ticket book and start issuing some RPP violations if we want to keep Finance out of the Ward after 4pm. Its not like we see much enforcement from the Meter Maid contractors...but do we really want someone as "Interesting" as that Bike Guy or someone Just as "Talented" being out there at night?
