Baltimore Railroading Derails

  • Charges have been dropped against all the officers who still faced trial in connection with the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray last April.

The prosecutors’ decision was announced at a pretrial motions hearing for Officer Garrett Miller, who faced charges of second-degree assault, misconduct in office and reckless endangerment.

Four Baltimore officers already stood trial in connection to Gray’s death. Three were acquitted by Judge Barry Williams
The fourth was a hung jury and would have been an additional acquittal upon retrial.

Looking at the big picture though, we wonder if this was intended as yet another boost to the "outrage" wing of hte democratic party. Hillary needs a massive minority turnout to win. What better way to motivate than to drop charges against three clearly innocent cops, blame the system and then run commercials to stoke the fires of the low-information voter?

Mosby gave a horrendous press conference speech claiming the police botched the investigation.
Hey Mosby, if the cops botched the investigation then how could you bring charges against the officers if you had questioned the investigation.
Dumb bitch is still blaming the cops but in the process making herself look even worse and she's also giving the officers lawyers more proof that she tried to screw them knowing they weren't guilty.

And Marilyn Mosby, behind a mural of Freddie Gray, blames the police and continues to repeat the anti-police rhetoric now a common and obvious theme used by democrats throughout the DNC. But the "offending" officers were found: INNOCENT. And the rest: charges dropped. And Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama represent the working class???!!! No. They represent divisiveness in the name of votes, power and money. And if we continue to vote for people who endear themselves to that philosophy(i.e.: our own mayor, most alderman and most judges) we will never ever be a united and peaceful society. They want all of us to believe they represent our values and safety and our country's goin great. If you believe that keep voting democratic. And see how our children grow up in a city, state and country plagued by violence, joblessness and division amongst all of us. They clearly believe that law enforcement, and specifically law enforcement officers, are a "problem" segment of society. They didn't touch on the numerous officers that lost their lives trying to protect the rights of protesters and others. I think it's time to wake up people

The nightmare isn't over for these officers yet. They're going to go after them administratively .

From an article online from the CBS Baltimore affiliate:

"...Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake issued a statement Wednesday afternoon.

“Today State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby dismissed all criminal charges against the remaining officers related to the death of Freddie Gray,” it reads.

“While the State’s Attorney’s decision brings an end to the criminal proceedings, the Baltimore Police Department will still complete an administrative review of each officer involved. I recognize the emotional nature of this case. The eyes of the nation, indeed the world, have been on Baltimore for a very long time and I thank the citizens of our city for their patience during these trials. Now I ask the citizens to again join me in being patient as the administrative process moves forward.” ...".

The comments under the story in the Baltimore papers and on facebook are very revealing. The rumor is swirling in Baltimore that the poor little prosecutor had to withdraw the charges because she was under severe pressure to do so and was being threatened personally.
(I know. Like the officers weren't under extraordinary pressure and like they and their families weren't being threatened personally?)
So, it's all some big conspiracy and once again the oppressed prosecutor had to bow to the 'establishment'.
I think everyone forgets she IS part of the 'establishment', she IS a policymaker. She chose to withdraw the charges because she's trying to save her career and her law license.

Not trolling-- and flame me all you guys want-- but I just honestly don't see how a guys death can be ruled a homicide yet according to these trials, no one killed him after all. Educate me, call me an ass, what ever. But it's confusing nonetheless.

Here is why...

Medical Examiner's have a pre-determined list of "Rulings" to assign to a person's death. They must use the rulings on the list, and cannot use their own terminology. Example: In Illinois, the taking of another person's property is classified as a "theft" on the police report, but in another state it can be classified as a "larceny".

The ruling of "Homicide" by a Medical Examiner only means that another person's actions caused the person's death. The ruling of "Homicide" does NOT mean a criminal act occurred. If the death was a criminal act, the ruling would be "Homicide, First Degree Murder". Admittedly, the use of "homicide" probably should be changed to eliminate any confusion, but that is not up to me. I believe, it is intentionally vague so that prosecutors can evaluate the circumstances and decide whether to bring charges.

Also, BEFORE any autopsy is conducted, the Medical Examiner reviews all of the circumstances of the person's death, and may even contact the lead detective for details. The Medical Examiner DOES NOT conduct an autopsy without having any idea about why the person died. I don't agree with the practice, but that is what they do.

The mere fact that Gray died while in the custody of the police does not automatically mean the police committed First Degree Murder against Gray.

I have a lot of years on this job and have seen lots of death. People die in very strange ways. Sounds like Gray was one of those deaths. In fact, there is nothing to even legally counter the argument that Gray caused his own death by trying to escape the wagon.

12:49- ALL deaths that occur other than natural death are ruled as a Homicide. That classification means nothing. For instance. You shoot a guy breaking into your home at 0200. It's classified as Homicide/Justifiable. The term "homicide" is used by the left and the news media when they want to inflame passions of those who are already on the edge but it has no meaning regarding guilt or innocence.

Homicide is just a classification meaning the death was not natural, not accidental and not suicide. It has nothing to do with how it occurred or whether someone else should be charged.

The far left progressives, and in that group I will include suburban white people who hold lots of white guilt, still refuse to believe that the officer in Ferguson was innocent, blaming no criminal charges on a rigged grand jury system. They want an open grand jury and changed to 200 years of US criminal procedure. Of course, they know what an open grand jury would do, allow the thugs to intimidate witnesses. Even now the progressives are working hard to identify the witnesses who testified at the grand jury in Ferguson. These same progressives are still using the Sandra Bland case, even having her mother at the DNC. this is truly a sad incident, but she committed suicide. The DNC had the family of Michael Brown on stage, a thug who brought about his own destruction. Hillary is a panderer playing into the hands of the revolutionaries ,and she knows it and does not care. Say anything and do anything just to get elected.

1. I question how the medical examiner could rule homicide. IE., one person killed another. She claimed they were similar to those of a diving accident. How was she able to determine that Gray's injuries were not self-inflicted (from trying to injure himself) but instead were the result of actions by another person? Could this be a situation of someone (the examiner) with an axe to grind? She herself said there was no direct evidence of what happened. And that she "decided" it was not an accident.

2. "No one killed him after all." Not what the rulings mean. The rulings indicate that responsibility for Gray's death could not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

The word is that some of the prosecutors that helped railroad the case (this was brought up in testimony in previous cases, especially the last case) were going to be called as witnesses by the defense. Sworn testimony in court probably wouldn't help Mosby in the lawsuits by the officers or any misconduct hearings. At this point it was much easier for Mosby to have a temper tantrum blaming the investigation by the police and mean nasty criminal justice system.

The definition of homicide means basically, death at the hands of another. That does NOT mean murder. There are unlimited lists of justifiable homicides and intent is just one of the key factors. While the Gray family who have now come out of the woodwork can claim their meal ticket for a civil ($$) suit there was no justification for criminal charges. It was merely an underhanded, uneducated political decision by the racist States Attorney Mosby. The judge righteously ruled according to law and evidence. Baltimore withdrew the remaining charges to avoid further embarrassment having the improper charges placed for their own racist political agenda. All the officers wrongfully charged along with those businesses (i.e. CVS et al)allowed to be looted and burned by the 'hands off, let loot' policy of their mayor should now sue Baltimore civilly for their deliberate actions.
Once again, hand out the OT slips to the cricket family.

---------------

Fair question.

The guy's death was ruled a homicide because the medical examiners were weak and caved in to intense political pressure applied by the leftist mob that now controls this country. The ruling of "homicide" is not a final determination of guilt, though, which requires a trial.

At trial, a conclusion of "homicide" must be supported by facts beyond a reasonable doubt. Here's an excerpt from the autopsy:

http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/freddie-gray/bal-read-the-freddie-gray-autopsy-report-text-story.html

Do these facts show beyond a reasonable doubt that the six officers intentionally killed him? The guy was high on opioids and cannabis. He was out of control and banging himself around. He was making the arrest as difficult as possible for the police -- that's what many arrested people do. Screaming, jumping around, trying to get out of restraints, kicking, damaging squad cars and trying to injure themselves are common behavior. Even arrested Cook Co. state's attorneys know to say they can't breathe and scream for their inhalers:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8A6BWMCkdLE

Yes, it's possible the Baltimore cops stepped on the brakes a few times to get the maniac to sit down. Murder? No.

Cook Co. will have its own politically driven leftist anti-cop prosecutor after this November's election. Just wait.

I'm pretty sure the Medical Examiners Office ruled his cause of death a homicide, not the police department. The MEO made it a homicide because his death was caused by the actions of another. His cause of death wasn't suicide or natural causes. If anything I would say it was accidental. What the MEO makes a homicide and what the police department makes a homicide for reporting purposes is different. Police and courts have to prove intent to rule it a homicide.

Not trolling-- and flame me all you guys want-- but I just honestly don't see how a guys death can be ruled a homicide yet according to these trials, no one killed him after all. Educate me, call me an ass, what ever. But it's confusing nonetheless.

In this case the Medical Examiner had a several hour Come to Jesus meeting with Ms. Mosby just before she ruled the death a Homicide. In the last trial, the ME stated under oath that "She never thought Freddie Grays death was an accident." The defense promptly put on the stand witnesses that said she stated in a meeting that Freddie Grays death was probably an accident.

Homocide has a technical meaning, but all homocides are not murder. For example, when the police shoot a terrorist that is killing people, it is Homocide, but it is most importantly, Justifiable Homicide.

And YES, that trial was that corrupt! Thank God and their Union the officers had competent legal counsel.

I went to my Dr. the other day and once the medical issues were covered the Dr. asked if I was still with CPD.
I told him I was and that I was counting down the months until I could get out.
He went on to say that's it's an absolute travesty what's happening to us and that he feels Rahm is a huge jagoff who should be indicted for letting things get as bad as they've gotten and also for Rahm being a major contributor to how bad things have gotten.

It was refreshing to hear a very educated individual tell it like it is.

No doubt after an administrative investigation all of the officers will be fired. Then sue to get back on, and get a hefty back pay check. Should be a few bucks extra for racial harassment.

The truth eventually came out in all of these "Lynch the honest Cops" in the racial hate crime hoaxes in Trayvon Martin, Ferguson MO and now Freddy Gray in Baltimore.

The key is to get the Lugenpresse Lying Press off the 24/7 incite the mobs mode. Once these incidents go to court and regular citizens get to hear all the facts, the lynch the cops morality play collapses.

Our side needs to get more access to the media and there is very big bad news that the Murdoch children are purging any and all Trump oriented people at Fox News. Roger Ailes got purged in a totally bogus 10 year old sexual harassment smear.

We're dealing with a Soviet Style 1930s media with special emphases in hating, blaming White police officers.
