Homicide Rate Surges for...
- Chicago's per capita homicide rate climbed over the last decade, and the chances of an African-American being killed in the city spiked drastically, according to a new report.
From 2005 to 2015, the city went from 17.3 homicides per 100,000 residents to a rate of about 18.8, according to a report from the Injury Prevention and Research Center at the Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.
But the report held particularly troubling news for African-Americans. The rate for blacks in Chicago jumped from 36.1 homicides per 100,000 residents in 2005 to 46.5 a decade later. Other studies have shown steep drops in the city's African-American population in recent years, but crime figures remain stubbornly high in many largely black neighborhoods.
Well, if the decent law-abiding community scrimps and saves enough money to move out of the crime ridden neighborhoods, who's left for the police to shoot? Oh wait. The police have shot exactly 0.5141388% of those catching bullets in 2016 - one-half-of-one-percent.

And the three shooters were all cops. Just kidding! They weren't cops at all. But in keeping with the mainstream media's habit of not identifying offenders who don't fit the narrative, we'll keep quiet about it, even though all three have been identified and are currently in custody.

If criminals were locked up for lengthy periods of time for EACH charge, they were served consecutively, with no parole or other "get outta jail early" cards to play - then maybe Pookie & Co. would think twice about using a stolen firearm, with a defaced serial # to stick up the local gas station while driving a stolen car, and smoking a fat blunt. Add all that up and you've got what, maybe 40 years possible?
Start sending them away for LOOOOOOONG periods of time, and watch crime drop. It worked in Richmond, VA - Project Exile, circa 1990. No reason why it couldn't work here - except for Preckwinkle, Fart, and a host of other nitwits that believe there's too may people of a particular color in jail (even though those people actually did the crimes).

Who am I. Simply a citizen. A person who not only loves this city, but loves his family and wants them to be safe. I am a person that not only cares about the great "BROTHER AND SISTERS THAT WEARS THE BADGE," but the rest of the people of this city. I have never made a overtime check in my 20 years of working. I understand that police can not strike and that this request is one of the few tools the FOP has to voice displeasure with the city. However, by not letting officers work that want to, it will force officers to work forced overtime that weekend that might not want to or who are not prepared to. It will not only make these " BROTHER AND SISTERS THAT WEARS THE BADGE" less safe if will make the rest of us less safe. I am completely aware of the understaffing, underfunding and lack of respect the CPD is currently dealing with. To use peoples lives, your members and the rest of the citizens of this city as a negotiating pawns is simply disrespectful and evil. We do need solidarity, not as groups or unions, but as City. We need to make hard decision about raising revenues and paying for services and debt. What we don't need is supposed leaders leveraging lives for political gain.
You see sir we have a leader, Rahm Emmanua, who has been leveraging lives for political gain since he was elected to office. He can't provide the basic city service of protecting it's people. Yet he continues to cut the number of police officers budgeted for and can't hire police fast enough to keep up with the officers retiring. CPD is down approximately 2000 officers from it's once budgeted strength of 13,500 so this tells me that our mayor has no regard for human life and the almighty dollar holds more weight than the lives of the citizens of Chicago. Chicago Police officers realize that the law breakers now run this city and it is easier to get away with murder here than anywhere else in the United States. If it easier to get away with murder here then think of all the other violent and property crimes that have a lower priority when it comes to solving them. Think about the fact that in the first six months of this year that more Chicago residents(approx 3 million) have been shot as well as murdered more times than New York and Los Angeles combined (approx 12 Million). I submit to you sir that your criticism of the FOP is grossly misguided and your efforts should be directed at Mayor Rahm Emmanuel whose failed social experiment in our city has cost the lives and injuries of countless innocent people at the rate of 4 times greater than New York and Los Angeles combined. While were on the subject of the mayor, did you know that he was successful in the passage of SB 777 that effectively increased the taxpayer debt from $28 Billion to properly fund the police pension at 90% by the year 2040 to the new funding legislation where the taxpayer liability increases to $47 Billion and only funds the police pension to 35% in the year 2065.
