Double Digit Increases

Sam Kinison had a comedy routine back in the 1980's making light of the Ethiopian famine. It went something along the lines of, "...live where the food is! You live in a f@#$ing desert! Move to where the food is!"

Guess where crime is up double digits this year? Where the police aren't - kind of an "anti-Kinison" explanation:
  • A wave of violent crime is washing across the North Side this year as Chicago police officers face increasing threats and scrutiny.

Through July 31, violent crime reports are up in every lakefront neighborhood from the Loop to Edgewater.

Reports of the most serious crimes—homicide, criminal sexual assault, robbery, and aggravated battery—are up as much as 61%. Uptown saw the smallest increase in our study, with 15% more violent crime this year.

And virtually every area is also seeing an increase in total crime. Only North Center showed an overall crime drop through July 31, with a 4% reduction compared to the same time last year.

The Loop has seen crime jump 26% overall this year, the most of any area. Near North is up 15%. Lincoln Park and Edgewater have both seen 11% overall crime increases.
That's pretty bad. But as the pressure is brought to bear on the hood, the hood goes where the pressure isn't as great and the hunting is extremely....lucrative, shall we say?

And Eddie, via Rahm, just whistles along with the violin as Rome burns.

It reminds me of Jurassic Park. The computer geek hacked the system through a back door, so he could disable the security systems and steal some specimens. Except that once the fences went down, the velociraptors started running amok throughout the grounds.

Menawhile, the owner of the place doesn't want to let the animal handlers deal with the problem and just can't own up to his part of the shit show. People died some ugly deaths, but the owner wouldn't let the handlers deal with the problem until some of his family were endangered.

I'd kind of like to see Rahm and Eddie trying to run some through some tall grass . . .

How do the people who voted for Rahm like him now!! He has done more to make people leave than the last 5 mayors. People thought the snow storm of 79 was bad. Wait until you get mugged and a beat down.

This increase on the northside is not just because we take police out of the northside districts and send them to points south and west. It is also because the offenders know that they can travel the city with guns and not face the chance of getting stopped that they historically have.

Light up the phone lines. Start protesting in front of the Alderthieves house, office, and business if he has one.

If that doesn't work, take a page from BLM, and burn some shit down? It works for them!

The police are all miles away, keeping a lid on the Southside.

The general public would absolutely shit their panties if they knew how much crime goes on every single night in the loop. Just this past week multiple people were robbed at gunpoint, thousands of dollars worth of merchandise was shoplifted, cell phones and purses were snatched, cars and condos were burglarized, visitors to our library, beaches and museums were assaulted, there were multiple carjackings, shootings, pickpockets . . . and the list goes on and on. The media only reports the sensational because the other crimes committed have just become routine. What a sad state this city is in.

So that's how this "food desert" meme got started.

So why exactly should I want to live in Chicago?

Safe streets?
Low taxes?
Great schools?

Why should I want to commute to Chicago for a job?

Easy Parking?
No taxes
Safe streets?
Safe Mass Transit?

Why?

You should see the barebones sheets in 001 on all 3 watches. It is dangerous for the officers and the backlog nearly 24/7 for weeks means all the citizens are getting are VINs and victimization.

Of course the thugs know that the good guys (cops) are less prevalent on the North side of town. The Einsteins at city hall transferred the cops to the South side, but has not helped much. POLICE LIVES MATTER!

You can thank the wonderful support of police by politicians and Black Lies Matter folks for your rising crime rate. If you don't want cops, they won't be there. Simple equation. Enjoy your day!

are decreasing.

This Jurassic Park comparison is probably the best I've heard. This sums up pretty much what is happening in Chicago. Rahm is laughing all the way to the bank saying "ah ah ah...you didn't say the magic word...ah ah ah...ah ah ah."

If any one gave a shit they would look at the manpower in 001. Talk about officer safety - down 6-7 cars per watch; one beat car per sector and if your lucky, a wagon. Its criminal. 35th street just looks the other way. Yet it has the biggest population in the city on 2w and with all the tourists and colleges, it goes 24 hrs now. Management by disaster means when the next disaster happens, and we all know it will, you will have left some really good, dedicated officers hanging.

Yup. Dragged this poor guy back into their yard and ate him.

Florida retiree, 83, is ripped limb from limb by neighbor's pack of dogs 'that treated him like a rag doll and left only a THIRD of his body intact'

* Michael Downing, 83, was discovered partially eaten by dogs near his apartment complex in Jacksonville, Florida, Friday
* A neighbor said Downing had his legs ripped off by the dogs, which also tore flesh from his head and arms
* All four dogs, described as a Rottweiler and three mixed-breed animals, were seized by officials and could be euthanized
* Dogs' owner, Lephus Felton, claims his dogs are not vicious and would not have attacked without provocation
* Felton accused Downing of sticking his hands beneath his fence, but victim's friends said the retiree was frail after a stroke [and in wheelchair, and only weighed 100 pounds]

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3754558/Owner-dogs-fatal-attack-Neighbors-agitated-them.html

Sounds like Lephus here should be "seized by officials, declared dangerous, and euthanized." Due process for dogs now; they must be "evaluated" -- as if something like this wasn't enough.

Related this to a friend just now, and she came back with personal knowledge, 70+-year-old lady working in her yard in Dayton, Ohio, killed by 4 pits from similar-type owner next door. No consequences to owner.

Too many of these. You shoot off a gun, you are responsible. You set in place without adequate safeguards something with the same lethal potential that is actually more dangerous than a gun -- because it sees, moves about, can make its own decisions -- you should be held just as responsible.

Reminds one of current discussion about autonomous armed robot weapons. You switch it on and it zips out of the lab through a propped-open door and heads for the mall, well...you can't just stand there and peep through your fingers at the results. Responsibility, again.

This isn't rocket science. Put a sufficient number of cops in the hood to keep the lid on. Then instead of letting the decent neighborhoods go unprotected, hire enough cops to fully staff those areas as well. Better yet, put the cops in the tax paying parts of town and let the BLM crowd have their way with no cops in their hoods. It's what they want anyway.

Told ya this was gonna happen if you let Rahm
steal Police from taxpayers and dump them into
the "community."

Now you have members of the "community"
exercising license to predate in areas where
Police and Policing no longer exists by Rahm's
Intentional design.

You see... Rahm is more afraid of those angry
and noisy tax-absorbers than he is of you
tax-payers.

You tax-payers are too busy trying to take care
of your obligations. It's not like you actually have
time to disrupt meetings, obstruct traffic and parade
around yelling into bullhorns.

Rahm exploits this and uses the tax-absorbers as a
weapon to keep the tax-payers away from the levers
of power and forcibly installing responsive representative
municipal governance...

Who the fuck is gonna make any money off of that?

All the remarks about Sam Kinison are making kind of homesick. Not so much in terms of place, but time. Goddammit, I'm really starting to hate the 21st century so far.

From the pop culture vault known as youtube, my favorite few minutes of Sam Kinison. For some reason, I picture policy discussions between the know nothing millenial morons (moronials) and the salty dogs with 20+ years going like this:

The exact location where there was a triple shooting a year ago over flow? With one fatality? Or the beat where robberies are up over 250% in the last year? I sure hope your not on the job, not realizing what's going on in that area. Your better off living in Rogers Park. Unless of course, you rent
