We're thinking that those 200 arrests the Department was making missed a few of the bad guys.

Of the eight dead, will their demise be a body blow to the community and city as a whole? Were any of them rocket scientists or great holy men/women?
It's a shame there is always collateral deaths. Sometimes the good do die young.
80 homicides for August is well within reach, and 85 isn't out of the realm of possibility.

I would highly advice not to invest any money in Chicago and to dump any property you have. A friend of a friend told me the Chicago property market looks bad. They are starting to see a Chicago flight. The summer months is when people move and there are lots of property flooding the market.

I'm sure glad the gold stars have this all under control. I'm retiring in February. Putting my house up for sale, just signed the papers Thursday. We are moving to Florida. High crime and high taxes pushed us to move. I wish everyone the best. I'm going to miss my friends but not this the crooked politicians.
Does anyone else see crimes are not getting solved. In Chicago people are literally getting away with killing and crippling citizens of Chicago. Talk about no justice. I would really hate to be a victim. You have better odds of being victimized than taking the criminal to justice. I noticed how they can't solve the murders however the mayors kid sure got justice in court with the robbers.
The justice only works for the connected. How many detectives worked that robbery. Most murders aren't even getting worked up. Victimized by offenders and now victimized by lack of manpower.
Said, I guess they are hoping crime stops all by its self.

The new contest, we can call it the "KJ murder derby", is between the Johnson twins, one got 007 one got 011 starting Sunday. As of Saturday night the two districts were in a virtual tie homicide-wise so they started level. 011 gives it's commander an early lead with 1 dead and 1 brain dead before noon.the winner gets a deputy chief spot next year. Or so I've heard.
The war on crime in Chicago, is very much ingnored by our home town boy in DC or the brillance of local government, Rahm Emannuel Esquire and Toni Preckwinkle Esquirette in charge. It will not be won by troops in the field or boots on the ground. (you cops) Innovative policing theories at the most esteemed universities in our nation containing those who are thought as intellectuals or great thinkers. The court system in Cook County should be the pinnacle of justice but we know judges elected by THIS elecotorate have demonstrated in decision after decision they have as the same blood on their hands as the shooters in the street. Reverends and Ministers have the most effect but they move the number only modestly. No, not in any away shape or form. The weekly score on dead and wounded provides the clue on what will get our crime rate under some kind of control and it can be summed up in one word. ATTRITION. So we should conclude that the higher the dead and wounded, the better.

It is merely the cost of modern white privilege and race relations under democrat rule.
Why isn't the press asking johnson whats his plan,with shootings like this the black and hispanic caucus would be all over him as for the white caucus,well there isn't one.
Some good does come out of all the shootings. A few months back in an airport USO I mentioned I grew up in Chicago. A Navy combat medic (assigned to the Marines) said he did training in Chicago. Only ones I remember as an innocent youth are Holy Cross and Little Company of Mary, and were not the ones he mentioned. Said the experience really helped. Was talking to a 7th SFG Operations Medical Sergeant (18D) yesterday. Said he did training in Detroit and that Chicago is the "gold standard" for gunshot wound training. So keep the shootings coming, our future combat medics need the training. By the way, both medics could not believe I grew up in SW Chicago, but that was 50 years ago and a whole different world. For all you cops, firemen, and EMT types-- Stay Safe.

"SAHUARITA - A former Wal-Mart employee whose job it was to stop shoplifters, now finds himself shopping for a new job.
“I risked my life and it cost me my job,” Young said.
"The surveillance video camera showed that on March 18, Young spotted two shoplifters. Viewing the video, Young explained what's going on.
“This is my suspect coming out,” said Young. “He's got a bottle of vodka wrapped up in a black sweatshirt here.”
"In the video, Young approached to the young man suspected of shoplifting, and identified himself.
“As a Wal-Mart asset protection manager, I told him, I need the merchandise you got in the sweatshirt back,” he said.
"The suspect denied he had anything. Young asked for the merchandise again.
“At that point, he kicks me in groin," said Young. "He starts to run, and I tackled him to the ground.”
“At this point, I brought up suspect no. 1 to a standing position,” said Young. “I get kicked again and he runs over the plants and goes south to a strip mall.”
"According to Young, that is when he noticed there was blood everywhere.
“That's me leaning against the fence right there," he said, pointing at the video. "That's when I realize all the blood was coming from me.” Young has kidney problems and had been on dialysis.
"According to Young, the suspect punctured a hole in his arm which damaged the vein during the scuffle.
"One week later, Young, who had been a Wal-Mart employee since 2008, was fired.
“I found out after I got terminated that it came down to there's absolutely no hands on,” he said.
"Young's insurance coverage was also terminated.
"Young currently doesn't know who will pay for his medical bills from the assault."

All victims were black. Where are all of the BLM idiots? Did blacks shoot blacks again? Does this not fit their socialist agenda? Where are Jackson, Phleger and the rest of the moronic race baiters? Why don't they riot over this?

It used to include Sunday midnight to Monday 0600. Either HJ didn't include it, or Chicago must have had a blizzard Monday morning?
The FOP has to step up and launch a PR campaign. The news coverage this morning on WGN regarding the McDonald case & push to fire these officers in the midst of an ongoing investigation, was a start. This has to be a battle in the public eye. They have to expose the corruption and politics to embarrass Rahm and save this city from its demise. Without our police & law & order....we have nothing. Rahm is a stone-faced liar and he & the tangled web he weaves are ruining this once great city. Shame on Eddie Johnson too. This needs to stop!!
The people who pay the lion's share of taxes in this city whole-heartedly support our police and are grateful to them beyond measure!!
