Not Guilty Plea
- A Chicago activist pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges he assaulted officers during protests last month over police shootings.
Ja'Mal Green, 21, made his first court appearance before Judge Charles Burns, a former Cook County prosecutor who was randomly assigned the case by computer Wednesday.
A day earlier, Green's attorney moved to substitute the first judge assigned the case, Judge Maura Slattery Boyle, also a former county prosecutor.
BAd luck going from one former prosecutor to another. But then, it's Cook County, so there's no telling which side of the fence they'll land on. After all, they have to please their political masters, too.

My guess is that Devereux got promoted because he was told to quietly accept an "I'M sorry" apology from Green and drop the case. NO boss ever testifies. Why would they want to show people how stupid they really are.

JagMal Green was in Englewood this am with some Sheriff some Chester SC. Showing the Sheriff the mean streets of the Wood. Letting the community air their grievances about the police to the Sheriff. Why? Who knows. But Anita Padilla the pandering reporter was there with JagMal, front and center.
I wonder how this jag can plead not guilty with a straight face when there are photos and video of him committing the crime. Oh wait, people like him have no conscience and no fucks are given. What was I thinking?

I actually liked some of U2's early stuff, before Bono became such a libtard douchenozzle. These days, not so much. I'll stick with Springsteen when I wanna relive the 80's.
