After Kirkpatrick got knocked out of the running for Supe, there were a bunch of rumors about some sort of EEOC lawsuit being filed and Rahm hiring her to keep her quiet. What would have been the basis for that - Rahm making promises caught on tape?
Based on her shoddy performance in other jurisdictions and her costing the taxpayers at least a million in one lawsuit, we wouldn't expect her to be hired in any legit type of job with actual oversight and an expectation of professionalism....which of course, made her a perfect fit for Rahm's Chicago.
This would just be icing on the cake though.

I never realized how I could become so disillusioned by this job. I grew up in the city have family on the job I knew what this job entailed but this is just unfucking believable. When does it stop? How many government agencies do we have to have investigating this department before one of them realizes how fucked up everything is?
I heard they passed some sort of Protect the illegals Ordinance here that makes it a crime for the police to threaten them with deportation or other sanctions. Be careful out there, the democrats are pro criminal and anti police. The inmates are positively running the asylum

Umm... she doesn't hire anyone. If her girlfriend was hired, that would be Rahm's doing. Doesn't anyone understand how anything works anymore?
Since they made up her Deputy Chief spot---why not make up another exempt position that she can fill by cronyism---all the other gold stars get to bring in people for support based on their knowledge, skills and ability (of course their talents need not be related to the work)
Rahm panders to minorities, and any other group that squeaks. We have "merit" minority bosses that aren't fit to be on this job, let alone in command positions, along with others that live alternate lifestyles. The police department should be about public safety period. This means that the most qualified should be hired and lead the department. Rahm treats this department like any other city department, as a employment agency for the clouted, and post card for racial and sexual orientation diversity. This has doomed it to failure. I wish all of you the best of luck, as for me, I retired last year. I just hope the pension fund hold up, but that's another story...

Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't Granny Clampett a real reformer according to her resume? Does a reformer arrive with her girlfriend in tow and land her squeeze a job at her new workplace?
