"More than 80 city sanitation trucks will be used at intersections and other strategic spots along the 2 ½ mile parade route to create an imposing physical barrier to terror. The trucks weigh about 16 tons empty and up to twice that with sand.

I saw a photo of some NYPD cops providing security for the NY Thanksgiving parade. They all had helmets and M4 carbines. Does the CPD have helmets and M4 carbines for all it's cops when they have to provide security for a big event?

So the Supt, affectionately known as Special Ed and A Criminal now do briefings on police shootings together. How low can we go????

Here are the reasons why CPD can't and shouldn't have it.
1. Terrorists love the liberal citizens of chicago. Majority of the citizens in chicago are ruining the US.
2. We don't have training like NYPD. CPD has no training.
3. Most of us shoot once a year just to qualify.
4. Only swat has ballistic helmets and we are too cheap to buy them with our own money.
5. CPD bosses spend money on important stuff like TARA.
Finally, we have cops like you who ask dumb questions. You probably think all cops are expert marksman with all types of different firearms on the ready. Fact check: some security officers have far better knowledge and possess more certifications about firearms. Just because one has a badge, it does not make one efficient with tactical tools.
Don't forget, heaven is filled with all kinds of people, even those who you hate including "thugs".
