Aldercreature Indicted

  • South Side Ald. Willie B. Cochran has been indicted on federal charges he shook down a liquor store manager in exchange for his support and stole tens of thousands of dollars from a charitable ward fund intended to help seniors and children in his impoverished community.

Another alleged shakedown involved a federal program intended to assist poor communities in getting vacant homes up to code and occupied as soon as possible, prosecutors said.

The 15-count indictment, which was returned by a federal grand jury late Tuesday and first reported by the Tribune on Wednesday morning, alleges Cochran used the ill-gotten gains for personal expenses, including gambling at casinos and paying a portion of his daughter's college tuition.
One of the news reports couldn't wait to describe him as a "retired Chicago Police sergeant" as if that erased the stain of being an indicted Chicago aldercreature. Any opportunity to smear the cops we suppose.

In any event, there are supposed to be a few more indictments on tap. We have a list of who we're hoping for.

Saw this on TV. Very unfortunate for Mr. Cochran. Met him once and he seemed like a nice guy.

As to "past labels", funny how they never say, "former Black Panther leader, Bobby Rush".

The media is biased - especially in Chicago.

Auto Shop teachers selling CPS resources on Craig's List.

Rich people trying to abuse the residency code to get into Lane, Northside Prep, and Jones.

Driver ed. teacher fleecing students.

Plus, tons of vendor fraud and other misconduct by CPS employees.

I worked with Sgt. Cochran when I made Sgt. and was sent to the only district I did not want to go to, the 003rd District. Sgt. Cochran was a real good guy and I can't say anything bad about him. After Sgt. Cochran retired, we got stuck working the bulls championship and he opened up his laundromat, on east 63rd street, so myself and my officers had a place to keep warm and have clean bathrooms. It is sad to see this happen to him because he was a police supporter. I wish him luck because he is one of the good guys who appears to have a gambling addiction.

That is why they need police scandals. Takes heat off of real corruption. Whenever there is a police scandal it puts the politicians in a good lime light because they come down hard on "bad cops" appeasing everybody. Now they want to lower hiring standards on police?? In turn there will be more scandals......brilliant! Haha

Saw Alderman Beale on TV denouncing the conduct of Cochran. Well maybe the Feds should look at him, Revs Jackson and Sharpton, all pretty much shakedown artists. Years back Beale had a dope house right across from his office and claims he knew nothing. 2 narcotics guys shot there doing a warrant.

Why didn't the Feds put handcuffs on him during the Cubs presentation at city hall and lead him out of the city council. Nothing new for Illinois and most of all Chicago. Remember when we had two Illinois Governors, representing both political Parties in prison at the same time? Yet, you have to respect the Office of Mayor of Chicago. Despite all the corruption around them, of which they have no knowledge, No Mayor yet has been tainted by Corruption. Even the articulate Lil Dick Daley, retired with the full dignity and honor he deserved. His sainted wife had a park named after her, and she controlled contracts for concessions at O'Hare. And never were they painted or tainted with even a suggestion of corruption. Now that is Integrity. Chicago Values! Baby"G".

Only dumb elected officials end up in Federal prison. For one, they do not have to worry about local prosecutors, at least not in this county and state. They are too busy looking the other way. But, the dumb ones chisel on campaign funds or take envelopes of cash. The smart ones like Burke, Daley, Madigan, etc, start insurance companies or law firms. The people who want favors flock to them to give them business and they make the smart political class rich in the process. I have an inkling that President Trump will not look kindly on this state and city and if he does anything he will do it without fanfare. It will be an interesting four years ( hopefully eight years) and drive the crazy left to tears.

The IAD sgt who did short investigation of test cheating in IAD. Matt Brown
Was caught fabricating time due slips for overtime while working in IAD.

Well IAD and IG are now reviewing the same Sgts prior investigations and overtime slips he submitted. Looks like the IAD sgt charged some officers with misconduct that the sgt observed and submitted overtime slips for.
Only problem the sgt falsified the investigation and reports.

They are now adding up overtime and talking to ASA. Stay tuned

falsifying time due slips is theft of time which is theft. Falsifying an internal investigation could be construed as official misconduct. I have seen both of these done in the past. All depends on how much they want to get you and who your friends are.

SCC, reducing the number of useless alderats can be accomplished by eliminating a ward when it's alderat is locked up and dividing that ward equally into the adjoining wards. If we would have started in 1972 we would be near the adequate number necessary according to population.

Cuckolds like you make me sick. He was a nice guy and let me use his bathroom. He is a thief, a common criminal that stole from you, me and the rest of the hard working taxpayers.

He needs to go to jail for a long time and then scorned for the rest of his miserable life. Remember it for the rest of your life. Remember who gave him the ability to steal from you and then let him do it. Vote accordingly.
