Revisiting the "Consent Decree"?

Police unions across the country know which way the wind is blowing:
  • Steve Loomis, president of the Cleveland Police Patrolmen’s Association, had a blunt message for Donald Trump during a meeting in September: court-ordered reforms aimed at curbing police abuses in the midwestern city are not working.

Loomis and two other attendees said Trump seemed receptive to Loomis's concerns that federally monitored police reforms introduced during the Obama administration in some cities in response to complaints of police bias and abuse are ineffective and impose an onerous burden on police forces.

Trump, Loomis said, was “taken aback by the waste of money” when the union chief told him that federal monitors overseeing his city’s police department earned $250 an hour - a standard salary for the position.

"I think he’s going to have a more sensible approach to rising crime rates," Loomis said of now President Trump. "What I got from the meeting was that Donald Trump is going be a very strong supporter of law and order."
Interesting times ahead. The CPD is in desperate need of reform, but from the top-down more so than the bottom-up. If you don't believe us, just look at what happened in the Deuce this weekend.

$250 an hour? That's $10,000 a week. That's OVER A HALF MILLION a year!

I would LOVE to see the resumes of these "observers". Talk about "jobs for your relatives and friends".

Where was MY job like that?? I know I could have done a GREAT job for that type of money. I would show up on time (if not early) and do a full day's work which is probably more than what 90% of those people would do.

I would also love to see the racial breakdown of the group comprising these people. Does it "reflect" the national breakdown of races - OR, is it heavily skewed to minorities?

Glad I voted for Trump.

Police Superintendent asks IG to look into incident involving fiancee's son.

Chicago police Superintendent Eddie Johnson has asked the city's watchdog to look into whether Johnson's fiancee, a police supervisor, inappropriately intervened for her son on a traffic offense, a police spokesman said Monday evening.

Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi confirmed that Johnson asked the Office of Inspector General Joseph Ferguson to look into the whether a traffic case involving Lt. Nakia Fenner's son was handled appropriately.

Guglielmi could not provide specific information about the incident, including whether Fenner's son ended up getting ticketed or charged with any crime.

Rahm has privately stated that no matter what President Trump does with the DOJ Investigation of the Chicago Police Department,he will "reform" the Chicago Police Dept. Rahm doesn't realize that he has already reformed the CPD. He has appointed a bunch of incompetent morons to run the CPD and it's been a total disaster...

No CPD "Reform" until POTUS Trump and incoming
USAG Jeff Sessions snatches CPD away from Rahm
and then fucking destroy City Hall and every
living ass in it.

M/Fers at City Hall are just like the hyper-violent,
death-loving swing-dicks on the streets.

They exist only to render food into shit
and spread grief and misery everywhere.

The Police are NOT the problem!

So there was another traffic stop in 11 a week ago caught on tape by the traffic car. A Sgt In pre Lt school blew a red light and never told the P.O. he was the police. From what I guess this soon to be Lt thouht he would get a good tongue lashing.(but it didnt happen) This soon to be Lt did not get the negative feedback he was hoping for so he ran to the station to tell the on duty Lt that he got a ticket. This so called soon to be merit Lt claimed he told the officer he was a cop. With all the DOJ stuff going on you would think the executive brace would have a clue. So what do you think they did, if you guess they dumped the traffic car you would be right. The merit sgt soon to be Lt was put in for merit by none other then KJ himself from the 6th dist. Of course KJ demanded the ticket be none suited.

Just for general information. First, the pay is $250 per hour, but only when they are actually performing the duties of Monitor. Usually a few times a year for a couple of days, simply to review information.

Second, Their names are not secret. Remember Google is your friend, meaning if you google, for instance, Cleveland Police consent decree, or something close to that, you will get a lot of information about it, including resumes of the Monitors. Try doing some research before sounding off in a post.

Yes, i respected Joe. When I was in homicide and he was made the city wide commander, he actually called me at home to praise me for clearing a difficult case. No one like him in the current leadership of this department, which is ruined for at least a generation.

My Two Cents

Been on the job 25 plus yrs, don't give a fuck what rank or politician it is, if I'm ordered to non-suit a ticket unless I feel the urge to do it "FUCK THEM". Been ordered and threatened before on a couple occasions throughout my career to non-suit a ticket and each and every time I've told them to fuck off. I might not have a lot of boss friends and been screwed many times but I still do what ever the fuck I want without owing anybody any favors, especially some of these clueless white shirts. Bottom line, especially in this climate "Do your job to the best of your ability and go home with no worries" and again "FUCK SOME OF THESE INCOMPETENT CLUELESS BOSSES".

Watch out what you ask for... Have a president who is pro police is not always a good thing... Cause in the end, they could be giving you a rope to hang yourself. Every 4 or 8 years the White House tends to flip from party to party.

Lots of people do not want to hear this but the feds coming and taking over isn't going to happen, and it wouldn't work even if it did. In some ways, the feds already did "come in" and "take over" if ya think it through. Where do you guys think all that LOOT comes from that pays for the gadgets and cars and pensions and paychecks? THAT is how the "feds" took over a very long time ago, and it is that right there that LURED YOU from contract to contract to contract into the place you find yourselves now.

Got 55 mph speed limits? See it yet? See the "request" framed as a "question" but posed as if is an 'ORDER'? 'Anything in the car I need to know about?" "You don't mind if I take a look, do ya?" You guys are so trained to do it to citizens that you totally miss the same damn thing being done to you. Want this money from the feds? Great, then do this and don't do that. The key here is this - if you want them to stop doing it to YOU, then you are going to stop doing it to the citizenry. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You really do have to choose. If you want them to stop doing it to you, you have to stop doing it to the people.

And don't give me this idiocy that you 'can't' do your jobs without LYING to people and tricking people and conning people. You CAN. It is just harder to do so. Want gubmint to find it harder to screw you the way they are screwing you? Force them to tell the truth by being willing to have yourselves be held to that standard. Face it guys, you ARE gubmint! You want government to treat you with respect, with honesty, with forthrightness and keep within you rights? Great, we want that from YOU just the same. SO LEAD by EXAMPLE.

Big changes are coming, because while some want to avoid it, there won't be a consent decree for Chitown. This is going to go the other way - funding long flowing is going to be turned off. You think cars are a problem now? Wait until those you have are 12 thousand miles past oil change, three quarts low and motors locked up. Wait until you are assigned foot patrols only, or given bikes, because there literally is no money because the federal spigot is turned off.

That IS coming. Prepare yourselves. There is no avoiding it. At this point Rahm wants it to happen....dems in Chitown finally coming up with a way to blame republicans for the money problems. There is only one way to fix this mess. The truth has got to be told. I suggest yall start doing so yourselves, among yourselves and to others. Seeing SCC advise fellow officers to look beyond the paycheck bait is encouraging. It is the right and proper path forward - look beyond the money and do no be distracted by it. See the truth for what it is and do NOT be afraid to speak it out loud. Reform is coming to chitown, that much is true. I think some know it and are fighting it, but I think so many are so lost in the dishonesty that they can't even be honest with themselves anymore to the point they appear to everyone else to be plain idiots, while they think everyone else is the fool. Rahm is the PERFECT example.

Brace for impact. The time of the rubber meeting the road is finally upon us.

Democrats are willing to ignore an White House order and city mayors are eager to please the uncivilized lawless deadbeat.
The national liberal agenda is lawlessness for change. Home rules will give thugs free range. Local taxpayers will foot the cleanup bill.

Nothing else will change, even though kicking out DOJ will save Fed dollars it will have little to do with police policy.
Rahms & the Democrats will pilfer their city budgets to satisfy their political agenda to fund The Sanctuary.

Democrats are ready to revolt and keeping police manpower at a minimum, the destruction and rise from the ashes attitude that Dems are hoping for, will change the course of America First. Reform or revolt either way it's a Democrats way to get Fed money.

Stay Fetal let the City burn.
It wasn't just the taxpayers that made their choice to continue the destruction, civil unrest and high crime.
Save your job not Rahms.

110% true! Agreed! The only way to have serious change and make people and the tagline "for the children" safe is to have President Trump use whatever power needed to shut down cowards like durbin and the rest and get AG Jeff sessions in that office, and march into Chicago and the county building dismantle the criminals piece by piece easily doen with a forensic audit! No, you wait until that happens! Good, I'll walk or ride a bike to assignments and I'll get there when I get there. Who are you threatening? If the city does not want to change their vehicles' oil, shame on them. They will turn a twenty buck maintenance into a three thousand dollar job. There's your reform.
