If a sworn affadavit doesn't deter a U.S. congressional representative from filing a false complaint against a police officer, it certainly won't deter many others. The signed sworn affadavit requirement must remain. Also, FOP better not negotiate our contractual protections regarding discipline and post shooting statements.
To the affected officers involved in this incident, please sue at the very least to send a message. I hope you receive a huge settlement for the stress the Black Panther caused you.
I saw the news interview of black panther, turned congressman bobby rush. He stated he did this to show Police Officers not all black men driving s nice car in a black neighborhood are bad. He went on to say that this should send a message to Police Officers that they need to act properly. Sounds like bobby rush used the system to play a game. I can no longer get very excited about any revelation of Rep. Rush's hypocrisy or crookedness. It's what I've come to expect by now. Beastly, nasty grifters commonly succumb to Rep. Rush's distortions, deceptions, and delusions. I do not. Rather, I take pride in taking steps toward creating an inclusive society free of attitudinal barriers. Those who wish to exert more and more control over other individuals follow a fairly predictable game plan. This plan comprises three distinct but related steps:
Vandalize our neighborhoods;
Create an ideological climate that will enable Rep. Rush to create an intimidating, hostile, and demeaning environment; and, finally,
Let us know exactly what our attitudes should be towards various types of people and behavior.
The significance of this approach is that Rep. Rush says he'll rescue opportunism from the rubbish heap of history, dust it off, slap on a coat of cheap sophistry, and market it as new and improved if anyone dare threaten the existence of his plunderbund. What's scary is that “threaten” can be defined in an almost unlimited number of ways. For instance, Rep. Rush might consider it threatening if one were to claim that I'm at loggerheads with him on at least one important issue. Namely, Rep. Rush argues that the peak of fashion is to bar people from partaking in activities that cannot be monitored and controlled. I take the opposite position, that Rep. Rush's pickthanks have tried, sometimes successfully and sometimes not, to cement the foundation of our currently metastasizing police state into the law of the land. What typically stymies them in this quest is their failure to consider the fact that only Rep. Rush can praise an institution that is as sinister and snarky as he himself. Sadly, lack of space prevents me from elaborating further.
Although chimpanzees can be convinced to wear clothing, understand commands, and even ride bicycles (if well paid for their services in bananas), it would be virtually impossible to convince Rep. Rush that anything may happen if he's able to abet ethnic genocide, dictatorships, and antihumanist liars and cheats. The worst sorts of doolally palterers there are may understate the negative impact of triumphalism. The most brown-nosing crooks I've ever seen may parlay personal and political conspiracy theories into a multimillion-dollar financial empire. And complacent thugs may deny that there isn't a man, woman, or child alive today who thinks that Rep. Rush can slow scientific progress and get away with it, so let's toss out that ridiculous argument of Rep. Rush's from the get-go. He told the investigating sgt. that if the cop did not come to court he would drop his allegation that I was drunk on duty. He never came to court and the judge awarded me 10,000 for slander. He disappeared and I am still waiting for my money.

Here's my take: why didn't they run the plate on their PDT? If so, did they run it as 1-US with US in the LIT field? Most Chicago cops are woefully inept with basic LEADS skills. I bet it comes back to the correct car.
That doesn't mean PC didn't exist if even due to a mistake on their part or that of the dispatcher and doesn't mean that Bobby Rush doesn't look like an arrogant and ignorant person. But if the plate, run correctly, indeed comes back to the car he was driving, you kinda look like a dumbass.

Here's my take: why didn't they run the plate on their PDT? If so, did they run it as 1-US with US in the LIT field? Most Chicago cops are woefully inept with basic LEADS skills. I bet it comes back to the correct car.
That doesn't mean PC didn't exist if even due to a mistake on their part or that of the dispatcher and doesn't mean that Bobby Rush doesn't look like an arrogant and ignorant person. But if the plate, run correctly, indeed comes back to the car he was driving, you kinda look like a dumbass.

Cut the Officers some slack. That is a rare plate to run, so I will argue that running it goes beyond basic LEADS skills. We have not had training in how to run the over 100 types of Illinois plates out there. Further, the Officers ran the plate as "1" and for type entered LE. The correct way was to enter "1CG" under the type LE. Who would know that? They got the result on their PDT that the dispatcher did over the air. It was a simple case of too damn many types of plates to know how to run. The State is greedy and wants more money for these things at the expense of law enforcement.
To the 16th district officers who were at the door ordering to see ID's in order to gain entry to that pos Arenas community meeting I sure hope you were filling out ISRs as we were forced to provide them to you. I sure hope you have a good answer for your two/from as I'm going to make it a point to file a CR. Have a pair and tell the Sgt that it is not our job to do that

yawwwwwnnn, I already see the outcome of your CR number and that is exonerated. Read the ISR order you half wit... Also, the notice for the meeting sent out days in advance said that only residents of that ward will be allowed in the meeting and that IDs will be checked. another loudmouth know it all heard from. feel free to get a CR number and be sure to leave your name and information as the complainant. remember, when allegations are served the name of the person making the complaint is revealed also....

FOP , this is a no brainer , file a law suit .
Bring attention to the missing grant money for vocational training .
Should FOP file a civil suit for every officer who gets an unfounded or exonerated CR#?
Where would you draw the line? Just sue people with money or famous people? How about domestics? Should you sue a bum on welfare?
Where is the cutoff? Just food for thought. I don't have an answer that does not raise our cost of legal defense.
