"Exile" Redux?

  • Attorney General Jeff Sessions directed the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Monday to “increase prosecutions of gun-law violations” so that suspects know they will pay a price for using guns in crime.

He also redirected the DOJ to take a harder stance against “violent crime” in general.

    [...]

WSJ noted that Sessions’ posture toward harsh penalties and increased prosecution “represents something of a shift from Obama administration efforts to reduce sentences for low-level nonviolent drug offenders.” But it also seems to be exactly what leaders in some cities, such as Chicago, are seeking.
And the complete Holden/Lynch/Sparklefarts abdication of gun prosecutions in Chicago, leading to untold bloodshed.

How about 5 years to start, 10 for repeat offender, full sentences to be served at United States Penitentiary, Administrative Maximum Facility in Colorado?

Federal gang and gun prosecution's were non existent during the Obama years. Then before leaving office he pardons the highest ranking GD incarcerated federally next to Larry Hoover. Only in Chicago.

Oh what joy it would be knowing that these fucking animals that have little regard for human life get sent down the shitter for 10 long years in some far away fucked up federal shithole or better yet a privately run jail. Boo fucking Hoo. Jagoff judges like Salon at 26th street won't have any power to reduce their sentences.

Nah, Super Max is expensive. We need to build a nice large Federal prison in Puerto Rico or perhaps Guam or American Samoa where we can ship these asshats for cheap holding.

How about 5 years on a Federal chain gang. And when I say chain gang, I mean wearing leg irons, cuffs and hooked to the next POS. Eight hour a day, seven days a week, for five years will make anyone think twice about doing any crime with a firearm. Now that is a real deterrent.

The DOJ, Trump and Sessions want nothing to do with consent decrees and police departments so what does that odious little prick mayor do? Appoint someone to implement these decrees on his own. No one in the federal government is interested in following this so that mendacious little asshole will fuck us on his own.

Re-purpose some of those huge old open-pit ore mines
in the Western U.S.

Let's see some of these inner-city shitheads
try and scramble their way out of a several
hundred foot deep, two mile across hole in
the ground in the middle of nowhere.

5 years for the first fuck-up with a gun.
10 years for the second.
20 years for the third.
40 years for the fourth.

...And so on.

Watch what happens to violent crime
in the community when BEE-AY-DEE
motherfuckers get plucked off the
game board for decades at a time.

"MAAAANNN! Ol'Boy got snatched by the
G for the 4th time with a pistol!"

"DAYUM! That means his ass done did
thutty-fi' years already!"

"Ain't gon' see his ass no' mo'!"

Every fuck-up with a gun gets shithead
posh accommodations in a different
big-assed hole in the ground.

No weight equipment.
No exercise other than walking.
Restricted internet.
No TV other than educational
programs like Discovery Channel
and 24 hour news from all around the world.

Prison loaf.
Green veggies.
Water.

Real food and diet beverage on Sundays if they haven't
fucked-up during the week.

"We can't punish our way out of this..."

You're not trying hard enough...

Gotta love the POTUS's support of law enforcement. And in that light, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd's recent answer when asked by a reporter why a suspect who shot a Polk County Sheriff's deputy 8 times and who would not surrender when caught up with was shot 68 times . . . "because thats all the bullets we had".

Better yet, why don't we outsource these prison stays to Mexico?

It'll give the Mexicans jobs, so they won't have to fight so hard to come here, it'll be cheaper to house these offenders, recidivism will likely diminish, and because so many criminals find reasons to sue penal facilities and the states that administer them, they can sue the Mexican government. (Good luck with that!)

Hell, why not outsource ALL of out long-term offenders to Mexico?

How about 10 years to start - PER count in the indictment?

so if you use a firearm in furtherance of a criminal act and fire it four times - charge them with four separate uses. Then you have 40 years on the table.

No negotiation, no plea bargains, no parole, no early release, no time off for good behavior, no day-for-day, no home monitoring. No bullshit. Cuff up for 40 years. Buh bye.

Post the shithead's face, prison #, location, and sentence on posters and billboards around his hood so his compatriots know how to stay in touch. And maybe, just maybe, they'll think before committing a crime with a firearm because they don't want to cuff up for 40 years.

Sends a hell of a message.

Don't bet on it happening in Chicago
dart, rahm, kim, preckwinckle, madigan will all refuse to hand them over to the feds. We are a sanctuary city and state don't you know. The only chicago official calling for stiffer gun penalties is special ed and I'm not sure he isn't being told to say it. Other officials are only calling for the feds sending more funds for "programs"

We should ask the Russians to send over some of their penology experts to give instruction on effective methods of prison management. They employ a no nonsense approach, that seems to work wonders. That, or tally up the cost per prisoner, and offer the Chinese half that amount to keep our violent felons in their system. A win win situation for all concerned. The Chinese make a good buck, we get rid of a problem, and the offenders learn a new language,(a good mental exercise) and some sorely needed discipline.

Maybe we could build a facility or two on some of the more remote islands of the Aleutians.
This idea could many positive benefits from reduced recitivism and incarceration aversion to
educational opportunities in fish and seal farming. Place a few hungry polar bears on the island,
keep housing minimal (quanset huts) and let inmates acquire cold weather survival skills.
We could even name it "Alaskatraz".

Just a thought.

Meanwhile, deploy Strategic Non-Interface patrol techniques (stay fetal)

The US is not france or England, the reason we can't send people to prison on devils island or austrailia is because of the excesses of Europe prior to the founding of the US. Kind of like when the Brits took over American plantations and farms, the soldiers put the owners family in the barn, ate his livestock, food and drank their liquor, that's why you can't have American soldiers on US soil. We are supposed to be better educated than the unwashed masses, read a bit to make it true.

Since Dart and Prickwrinkle are on their
"too many black and brown people in jail"
bullshit, cut the Cook County system
completely out of the loop for violent
offenders and send them to federal prison
to truly receive their punishment for violating
the justice of "We The People."

Or some sharp and enterprising Police Minds
can figure out a way to privatize County Corrections
and turn a pension and medical insurance funding
profit.

The howls of outrage from the usuals
would be so worth it.

I don't think Chicago on a grand scale will see much Fed assist or crackdowns.
Rahm's attitude, arrogance, mocking and condescending behavior is the blame. Rahm doesn't know who's calling the shots in Washington DC, somebody should point that out to him.

Besides, the Fed may want to do more, but there will be the home rule bullshit and no state-to-state cooperative.
Whereas one might get 5-10 years in Indiana but 6 months in Illinois, even less in California and NYC.
What constitutes local Federal jurisdiction or what such cases get Fed review...start will crimes of resisting police arrests, crimes against the police and violent protesting rioters.

The Trump Admininistion recently repealed the obama private prison defunding, so more prisons beds are coming.
Rahm's Chicago is knocking down jails. President Trump is building them, elsewhere.
Yes, it's starting to happen.

Cook County will of course be the anomaly.
For decades Democrats allowed Chicago to attract the criminal element by not enforcing laws.
Running a criminal enterprise in Chicago is easy and unchallengeable because interference is racist.
Rahm and PrickCanker are all in on letting the Fed foot the criminal housing bill, they'll have more money for excessive patronage hiring in their offices.
Basically, Rahm wants someone else to do his job and take the responsibility away from him and incompetent Special Eds Team.
Rahm is a failure and wants his GovMint handouts.

I see a couple of problems. First off, with all the gun crime we have, Colorado would need to be expanded. Not the prison, the whole state. Now, I like the idea of exile. We get along with Russia after a fashion, why not ship 20-30 thousand over there. If THEY released one by mistake, he'ed show up quite easily against the snow of siberia. And the MF'er wouldn't be able to pick up a piece the afternoon he's set free.

Or: At sentencing, you're given a numeric score. A point system based on offences. Points are doubled if you use an illegal firearm, doubled again if you resist. tripled if a copper or an innocent gets hurt. The higher the score, the more time you get. If the prison is overcrowded by 50, you just tell the top fifty point getters that their number has come up, appeals are over. Just sit'em down in on old sparky and flip a switch. Now you gots room for the next bus load.

How many of the guns that are used in crimes have the serial numbers filed off? That is a federal count, but the feds have been too busy since the days of Bush the Elder to bother prosecuting such crimes. I suspect that will now change.

Your implication that I'm not well-read is kind of unnecessary, but your argument is weak.

You're comparing apples & oranges when you cite the quartering of troops.

As far as Australia & Devil's Island go, so what? We'd « contract » with Mexico to take care of our long-term prisoners, not simply ship them off & hope for the worst.

Europe's excesses have little to do with what has happened in this country « since » it's founding.

I also like one reader's suggestion about re-purposing Gitmo, and "Alaskatraz" sounds kind of interesting...

It's not as if I suggested we simply lock these guys up alone in a facility and air-drop food in once a month.

I stand by my suggestion.
