No Bail? No Problem
"I-Bonds for everyone!" is one step closer to reality:
- A few dozen inmates who remain locked up in Cook County Jail because they’re too poor to post their relatively low bonds may be out soon under a new program State’s Attorney Kim Foxx announced for indigent, nonviolent offenders Wednesday.
After the Cook County Sheriff’s Office singled out 50 cases of those who were “languishing” in jail for several months because of their inability to post $1,000 or less, the State’s Attorney and Public Defender’s offices came together to identify those inmates who would be better served outside jail, Foxx said.
Through “agreed motions” requesting I-bonds, the inmates who qualify would be released on their own recognizance.
Dart and Foxxx will find a way to fuck it up, not a doubt in our minds. Dart can't even have his office get the paperwork straight for murderers being returned to his jail. It's like some twisted form of keeping the jail empty via incompetence.

I can't wait to see how many "non-violent" offenders are repeat customers.
Time to start asking DART and FOXX to start laying off employee and cutting their budgets!
Empty jails means less gaurds and civilian employees.
Not pressing charges for felony upgrades means less attorneys needed for trials!

Isn't bond seut bnby the court judge? Doesn't he have to approve? How can States Attorney unilaterally reduce bond?
Never mind the crime that was committed by the POS, just base the I-Bond release on the amount. Makes perfect sense in the alternative universe of liberals.

I would love for a news outlet to o research the 100 oldest cases that are limping through the system and ask why cases that are five and six years old haven't been adjudicated.or would that embarrass the chief judge
You'd think that Kimesha would realize that she's not striking a sympathetic chord with her own people. Here is the truth you will never here cause Dart supplies media with "Shakman Exempt" ball washing jobs.. In 2003, former Sheriff Sheehan had a record 13,200 inmates. Dart has almost single handedly cut that population in half to 7,100 inmates this year. He has done this by Rocket Docket and a 1400% increase in house arrest. Many on house arrest are AWOL and have extensive violent pasts. His poster child for Rocket Docket "low level" offenders he highlighted in his video is J. Mikos. Mikos has over 200 arrests, including Agg Batt to his elderly mother, stabbing his brother on another occasion along with numerous assaults on police. Dart proclaimed he was a non- violent offender who needed help with his alcohol addiction in his propaganda video. Brass keep calling down begging Dart's lawyers to stop placing Mikos on Rocket Docket to no avail. Even his family begged the Sheriff's office to stop letting him out so his 85-yr-old mother could get a break from being terrorized on a daily basis.. This is just one case of hundreds I could illustrate.
Knew Tom Dart would produce some (wag the dog) press after he just let another murderer walk out the front door. This guy makes Barney Fife look like John Wayne.

You should all take some time to see all of the new legislative proposals sent up by all of the usual representatives of the usual districts. The Illinois legislature seems to be taking a hard turn to the the left and dumbing down all kinds of crime and doing everything they can to keep criminals from being locked up. Even Rauner is in on the "reform."
When one of their "non-violent" releases commit a "non-violent" homicide or sexual assault who will wear the jacket on that one?
If you can't scrape together a hundred bucks to get out of jail, how do you support yourself on the outside? Duh!

She was all proud an shit that they were going to institute this lil plan to "free" all the NON-VIOLENT" offenders using non-violence criteria/ability to not pay $100 cash. Weeeeellllll if you can't pay for the crime, then don't do the crime. Just wait til some "non-violent" released POS gets out and caps someone or some such VIOLENT shit. THEN the finger pointing will begin. And Dart-fart is ALL for this emptying of the cells. After all it's going to save $165 per day to house each mutt. That's right, put money over public safety. Last month a mother was on news blasting Dart and Willie Wilson for bonding out her heroin addict daughter (without the mothers knowledge). I could never figure out if Tom Dart is insane liberal or if this is all political theater. Either way he has zero business holding that office.

Old timers may remember the short period of time when traffic offenders were allowed to sign a traffic ticket promising to appear and keep their license/bond card. Didn't work too well Kimmee!

Cook County court and Jail is void of inmates and trials going on. The judge' are writing their memoirs in chambers all or just hitting the gin mills at noon and calling it a day.
Knock down the whole jail and leave the walls up so the vacant land can become a first class bull fighting arena. Cisco Kid and Poncho can do concerts with that one armed guy outside Juarez High school on Cermak and Ashland.
