One Down

  • Chicago police say the attempted armed robbery of a slain Cook County judge and his injured girlfriend early Monday was not a random act while announcing murder and other charges against the first of several suspects.

Police also revealed that shell casings found outside the judge's Far South Side home matched ballistics evidence from an attempted armed robbery in the early morning hours three months ago. The victim was shot and wounded.
So...not random, as in targeted.

And targeted why? Judges aren't usually notoriously rich.

Sources say that the rap sheets for this and the other two being sought are....shall we say, "extensive." And amazingly, they weren't spending many decades in jail for some reason. We're sure that will be right at the top of the next media story.

We imagine that Sir/Ma'am Sensible Shoes and Dart The Shart
are having the tummy rumbles over their intentional
and conscious decision to allow these mutts and others
like them to walk around real free and easy.

No shits, fucks nor damns given when these bastards chase

It's very problematic when they target and prey on
the decent law abiding contributors to society.

More decent law abiding people should be prepared
and willing to fight these hyenas back.

The hyenas and their enablers actually have a
great fear of upright and decent men parking

It's just another ghetto love story, and he happened to have a job as a judge.

And THAT, is case closed.

We are told it costs taxpayers so much to keep violent criminals behind bars. Jails we are told are an avoidable expense. It seems this is the only "cost" to taxpayers progressive democrats seem to have an interest in slashing is incarceration expenditures on all levels.

In the meantime, a fellow command and control Democrat Party Justice pays the price with his life for mainstream progressive ideologies and practices in action. The catch and early release practices ultimately cost the life of a fellow party member. The juge himself is on record believing that obtaining a high school equivalency certificate exonerated past criminal behaviors.

Cook County's criminal justice's chickens have come home to roost! Again and again. If the government can't perform its fundamental function of keeping its citizens safe, its time to overhaul the criminal justice system top to bottom.

Lets say 006th District beat officers had observed a suspicious vehicle or suspicious person early in the morning in the judge's neighborhood clearly out of place. Their suspicion, their huntch is not enough to conduct a stop adhering to an aclu agreement and the recently written general orders to accommodate the legally binding aclu agreement. Common sense policing is strictly prohibited.

Lets say the officers for the safety of the community and their own safety were to conduct an investigatory stop formerly known as a street stop. If they fail to articulate a reasonable suspicion that the aclu and never on the streets internal CPD review staff deem in violation of the constitution or general orders, the officers face discipline ranging from suspensions, civil judgement$ and termination.

Sorry law abiding citizens. The anti police rhetoric and condemnation of crimefighting efforts have given the upper hand to violent criminals. And if criminals are actually prosecuted, a slap on the wrist to criminals is the expected outcome. Our elected officials including judges won't get serious and seem to encourage further crime by not taking decisive actions on criminals who practice crime and violence against fellow human beings.

And the high profile murder of a judge falls in line with the recidivist themes of convicted criminals released back into society only to more mayhem and destruction in our communities. Its time to organize and advocate truth in sentencing with actual punishments for violence and crimes.

Its funny how so many "Old sayings" don't get said much anymore when so many of them had a basis in fact. Sayings like "You can't be nice to some people" because some people are just natural born assholes, born an asshole, will die an asshole. Used to be a saying "There's more than one way to skin a cat" (but any way you do it, the cat ain't going to like it), well there is a lot of assholes in Chicago that could stand a good skinning.

Not a cop, and tired of this bullshit. How the fuck can you have rap sheets like this and still be allowed to breath fucking air? Either we have assholes running loose on electronic monitoring or young hitters who are robbing with loaded weapons and getting let go immediately. But cops are the problem? Really? Look, I get it, it sells papers. But there is a bigger picture here. Let me know honestly when a person, going to work, school or church is just grabbed off the street or out of their car and fucked up by the cops. Just once. Because the other stories are these kids stealing cars, high speed chases, putting cops and public at risk, or armed robberies, then foot chases, or public shootouts. If a cop takes one or several of them out, so be it. Know your history. In the West, you steal a horse, you were hung. Immediately. Caught with a loaded weapon, that should be double digit years, no parole. You just fucked up. A mistake is shoplifting or breaking a window or jumping a turnstile at the train. A crime is different and you pay the price.

As a dick, I've handled hundreds of victims of armed robberies. Would someone please expound on what constitutes a TARGETED armed robbery victim?

4/13/2017 12:16:00 AM

Must not be much of a dick. Targeted means someone knew him/her or wanted something they knew he/she had. Let's say I find out my neighbor carries $5000 cash on him everywhere he goes and never carries a gun. Now let's say I decide to rob him because I know he carries that cash and no gun. Let's say you get into an argument with a neighbor, and you know that neighbor has a really nice watch. You really want to get back at that neighbor and get some money for that watch, so you rob him. Maybe you know a woman who's dating a judge. Maybe you know they work out together in the early morning. Maybe that woman is your ex, and you think she owes you money. Now you rob her and get confronted by the new man, so you shoot him. There's a few examples of targeted robberies. You could just watch any TV show or movie involving a robbery, because they're rarely random in those. Now, what kind of a horrible detective are you?

As a matter of fact, there's no possible way you could be a dick in this city and not have handled one case where a specific victim was targeted by the offender in a robbery when you've handled hundreds of robberies. Argument at school and the offender decides to beat the shit out of the victim and steal his cell phone. Those are pretty common. That's targeted. Drug dealer's house gets hit in a home invasion robbery. Targeted. It's really not that difficult to figure out, detective.

Preckwinkle really does not care about the crime rate. She is on a mission and that mission is to convince people that the police " hyper-police" the black community and that is why crime is so rampant. Just give these hyenas a job a macy's and all will be well, raise the minimum wage at McDonalds to 15 bucks an hour and crime will disappear. I have heard her and her friends speak at functions. She is convinced of this. What comes out of her mouth is so blatantly wrong and outright lies you have to wonder what goes on in her mind. In the meantime, she lets patronage run crazy while building her power base. She does not allow conversations on overpaid county employees or ghost payrollers or people not doing their jobs. And, you wonder why taxes are so high?

Just my .02 cents...
Sorry to hear about the killing of the judge and wounding of his friend.
Where was the sympathy and outrage of J-deuce and Phaker?
Staples should look in a mirror before she goes on TV representing our department in uniform.
I hope that the quick ballistics match/finding is now the norm in shots fired AT police as well.
Again, sorry to hear about the killing of the judge and wounding of his friend, maybe the pols, media, department, sentencing judges, CC Sheriff and CC States attorney will take a lesson from this case.
Then again, .02 cents doesn't buy much nowadays in Crook County.
Hell, I can't even buy a plastic bag.

Whoever leaks it, watch out, KimFWrinkle will toss the case and remedy the situation.
So if this caper wraps up by the May 1st,
would the time be ripe for sleepy-eyed, sick & tired Special Ed to be rolled out of bed?
Meanwhile the shootings and killing of the lesser accomplished folk continues without any comments from the city hall controlled media peanut gallery.

Judge pay is nowhere near what a polished attorney can make in a medium sized law firm...but they only hire the best and brightest, so newbie lawyers work Cook Co Courts, save for their sponsor money, donate big, get a political appointed judgeship and become the incumbent. It's that easy. Then the perks of Chicago politics all come afterwards. It Pays to be a Cook Co Judge - No oversight whatever.

Hey big city detectives 12:16am and 151pm targeted means when 2 shitheads stalk and watched the girlfriend for 3 weeks they were specifically targeting her. Same as when a robbery crew targets drug stores and bars or liquor stores. It's called a crime pattern targeting certain businesses or a pattern of robberies in a certain location of robbing the elderly. Can't even imagine what kind of robberies you worked on or have ever seen a crime pattern bulletin. Both were or are in the summary section or case management.

Everyone is right on this one, but the use of targeted is confusing, it would be better if you would say it was a set-up or something like that; he was targeted, with the gun the offender used. The other confusing thing, his girlfriend was being robbed and when the Judge intervened he got capped. How this has become a target robbery is still confusing mainly because of the reported circumstance.

as a retired detective who spent a lot of time working murders, I have to say things are different now and clearing a case is much harder. Lots of new restrictions, unnecessary restrictions, I might add. But, other big cities also have those same type of restrictions and their clearance rates are very much higher, around 50%. I think it is time that someone looks at the detective division and how they do business, their policies and the quality of personnel in that division. And, last, but not least, add a lot more manpower. No supervisors unless that supervisor was a working detective, not some clout baby. I recall when they made Terry Hillard Chief of Detectives. He could not find Micky mOuse in Orlando. He never was a detective in any shape.

Not buying it lady, give it up! The motive was robber yet they didn't take anything. They had plenty of time to kill her, yet they wounded her and killed the Judge. Yet they didn't take anything. Her shooting seems like a crime of endearment and his shooting came from a deeper place. Targeting her took a lot of energy. I say domestic or drugs. She's definitely holding back
