Here is something that headquarters will never understand. The activity obtained during the pre ISR Era can not be compared to activity obtained post ISR Era. After the implementation of the ISR and Body cameras you can only compare activity after two years of using the body cameras and ISRs. This is a new Era of policing. Terry vs Ohio is 50 years old. It's taken us that long to police as the rest of the country does. One thing to note why doesn't the department use case reports as a measured statistic. Your giving someone a service. Your doing your job. A beat car on the watch will have radio assignments requiring documentation. Often you go from one assignment to the next. Tactical and discretionary personnel are held down on missions and obtain activity. Two types of personnel with specific roles. Can't expect the same results from both.
What is wrong with people now a days, so guys and gals of the 16th District. Your performance evaluation Is going to depend on activity be prepared to see a bunch does not meet expectations.
All joking aside, this is a criminal act. The law has been on the books since 2015, and it has been our unwritten policy for decades. When you compare an individuals performance from one year to another and state that said employee has either an up tick in performance or is down in a specific area, in this case the writing of tickets, ANOVS, ISR'S, that my friend is A QUOTA SYSTEM.
I remember when we had a commander that had an activity clerk who would give everyone credit for the activity they turned in but would shitcan any activity that was more than what was counted the year before. He said that our enforcement was keeping the stats down! He actually got promoted to Deputy without climbing the backs of his workers. That all changed with the new guy...
this shit started about 8yrs ago when they inflated the indexes citywide, told all the recruits you were all dog asses. The publications on destroying morale in military orginizations point this out. Pretend it was your family members that called you. 4) Be professional at all times. 5) Use the proper force necessary to go home to your families. Remember necessary. Not excessive but not insufficient. 6) Fill out your paper work as if it was going to the Supreme Court. 7) Be where you are suppose to be. If you need to make a run, then call me. 8) ZERO numbers game with me. I don't care about activity. Come in with zeroes as long as you always answered your calls. 9) Back each other up. I will never tolerate cowards or dogs on assist calls. I will write you up. 10) Never LIE to me.
Many Lieutenants, Captains, and Commanders have counseled me verbally. Being the cowards that they are they won't put it in writing. Punks. That is all.

It's time for the police and fire departments to combine into public safety. Reactionary service. 12 hour shifts. Combined budgets and personnel will save money. Today's firefighting and policing are are century out of date. I wonder if you see fire captains demanding fire reduction amongst the troops.

I welcome the days when the do nothings were loaners as opposed to being embraced by the watch as the new leaders. Open your eyes and realize the less you do the more likely you or your family will be the next victim.

I'm going to bet it's movers, parkers, ANOV's, arrests, and possibly a bus check. Maybe blue cards, and, since it's days, school absentees? One guy on that list had 500+ "pieces" in 150 days. Almost 4 a day, on average, of something, and this fucktard lieutenant is bitching? Go fuck yourself, you stroke. When you compare an individuals performance from one year to another and state that said employee has either an up tick in performance or is down in a specific area, in this case the writing of tickets, ANOVS, ISR'S, that my friend is A QUOTA SYSTEM.
I remember when we had a commander that had an activity clerk who would give everyone credit for the activity they turned in but would shitcan any activity that was more than what was counted the year before. He said that our enforcement was keeping the stats down! He actually got promoted to Deputy without climbing the backs of his workers. That all changed with the new guy...
this shit started about 8yrs ago when they inflated the indexes citywide, told all the recruits you were all dog asses. The publications on destroying morale in military orginizations point this out. This is the new style of policing get used to it. This is the dream of bearueacrats everywhere. But the deal was sealed with the ACLU now enjoy that shit smorgasborg.
Been on the job for 26 years. 13 as a Sgt off the list, no merit. My officers know my expectations. They are my 10 commandments.
1) Be on time.
2) Wear the uniform properly.
3) Answer your calls promptly and respectfully. Pretend it was your family members that called you.
4) Be professional at all times.
5) Use the proper force necessary to go home to your families. Remember necessary. Not excessive but not insufficient.
6) Fill out your paper work as if it was going to the Supreme Court.
7) Be where you are suppose to be. If you need to make a run, then call me.
8) ZERO numbers game with me. I don't care about activity. Come in with zeroes as long as you always answered your calls.
9) Back each other up. I will never tolerate cowards or dogs on assist calls. I will write you up.
10) Never LIE to me.
Many Lieutenants, Captains, and Commanders have counseled me verbally. Being the cowards that they are they won't put it in writing. Punks. That is all.
Don't see a quota here. Its not out of the realm of any management to see who is doing work and who isn't. After all, that is one way of evaluating performance.

and that's ok.
After all, It will NEVER be YOUR ASS being frog marched
out of federal court after being stripped of your job, assets,
freedom and family while being branded as yet "another
rogue CHICAGO COP" while blinking at ALL the tv news
cameras capturing that well known "I'm not sure but I
think I may have shit on myself" look on your face.

convicted and ruined, let alone jailed or even
hanged/shoved against a wall and shot for following
bad orders.

who in their right mind would/should

You take this nonsense much too seriously.
