Media Trolls Again?

- In an apparent breach of protocol, authorities are investigating how a female inmate ended up in a Markham courthouse holding cell with two male inmates in an encounter that was possibly sexual in nature.
Two male inmates last week first told guards they had been placed in the holding area with a female inmate, who threatened them with a syringe and demanded sex; the female inmate claims the men instigated the sexual encounter, a source with knowledge of the investigation said. No syringe was found.
The Cook County Sheriff’s Department has asked State’s Attorney Kim Foxx to investigate claims from jail inmates who have made the opposing claims; the sexual assault is alleged to have occurred in the holding area outside a courtroom at the courthouse.
How about this - every story that the media lifts from our comment sections, they contribute $50 to the Chicago Police Chaplains Ministry. For every story that the get from the main page (by which we mean we post it more than 12 hours before they do), the Chaplains get $100.
So far in May alone, they owe the Chaplains $300.

Great idea! Now if you would please smaller words, so when they cut & paste your stories, their editors could better follow along... having to stop reading and looking up the longer words breaks the flow of the narrative. I hate to put SCC and reddit in the same sentence, but I haven't seen a "news" story on the MSM, national or local, that hasn't been originated on one or both.

This news reporter Grimm must be chastised by Mark Brown for daring to write an article critical of the great Thomas J. Dart. Thomas has paid off the Sun-times for positive news coverage... This reporter must be new, lord help him. The Sun-times chastised Kim Janssen for daring to write an critical article about jail suicides several years back. The local reporters already have forgotten when the great Thomas Dart called them garbage peddlers in a speech in 2014. But All is forgiven now..... Didn't this reporter get the memo?
It isn't that they are getting the information from the comments sections OR from your stories, cmon guys, you gotta know how this works by now. Of course they already HAVE the stories and the information, they are just holding it back waiting to see if anyone says anything about them - and if they don't see comments or blog posts......then they don't print it as part of the sweep down the memory hole.
In order to protect that racket structure, if they see internet traffic talking about it they bang out a story, giving no more information out than what is seen online, in order to avoid claims they have information they aren't printing.

While we are speaking of funding, how about a third of every dollar that ends up going into a new community policing/neighborhood relations program go to hiring the accurate number of counselors and clinicians for us. Tom Dart hires so many lawyers he could have his own law firm. None of them have been the police, corrections or deputies, but they have all the solutions. Ask them. These lawyers are out to get as many sheriff personnel as they can. They are all political appointees and need to be dumped. Get rid of all the management in the sheriff's office and you would save money on the budget.

Big changes coming down for SWAT. 35th Street is pissed at the To/From that all of the SWAT team signed. Basically, none of the SWAT officers will be taking their gear home with them. They will leave their gear at Homan Square and will respond from home to Homan to pick it up. So you live in 022 or 016 and you are going to drive to Homan to pick up your gear, a squad car and then drive back North or South for an HBT job? That's fucked up SWAT clout crybabies.
They want D-3, take home cars with safes and on call pay. You guys think your SEALS? LMAO!
Hope you enjoy the districts this summer in blue uniform. Word has it you will be assigned to a district and your gear will be on the truck waiting for you just like the old HBT days and how NYPD ESU does it. No more green. Looks too military. You guys blew it.

Truth hurts.
However, we gotta be honest about one thing. A large number of "murders" aren't really murders so much as they are simple exercises of self defense that the now dearly departed had coming. Maybe there is a bit of a classification problem as much as a clearance problem?
Wait for the next big scandal. Bigger than this one... Tom Darts Merit Board was just ruled NOT legally constituted by the appellate court last week... Dart will have to pay millions in back pay to all fired employees in that time period because of his blatant arrogance. He was told three years back he couldn't fire Merit Board members at will but of course the narcissistic Sheriff ignored his lawyers advice. Now embrace yourself tax payers for another Dart flub... Can't imagine the media won't cover this one!

I post here about toupee Tommy and my application, submitted in April of 2016 has been resulting in the receipt of a letter, every 6 weeks, saying an objection has been raised to my application, and that further review by the board is necessary. I've received about 8 of these letters. Numbers wise, I have 31 years law enforcement and never a beef. Go figure

The media and public have no idea of the investigative process that police are subject to regarding shooting incidents. The media makes no effort to learn.
However the measures proposed by Foxx may work to police advantage.
Under Garrity, officers must answer and make statements as long as criminal prosecution is not likely. Under Foxx's proposed law, prosecution would be involved so the officers would be covered by Miranda rights.
Of which rule #1 is: SAY NOTHING!!!

If you have 31 years in law enforcement, why would you need a Concealed Carry from Dart. Your ability to carry under the Peace Officers Safety Act trumps a CCL.
With all the lawyers on Darts payroll how did they botch the Merit Board rules? Did they want to get these clouted officers rehired? It's impossible to believe they could be this clueless with all the legal minds.

Tom Dart decided to make his employees the ENEMY years ago and its biting him in the ass. I'm not talking about accountability or getting rid of some rotten apples. I'm talking about his sense of arrogance and entitlement.. Where he thinks he's better than us.
I.E.. He (Dart) wont speak or say hello to anyone who is not exempt, The rules don't apply to him (chastises employees who make him show ID), giggles in interviews about harassing/transferring his employees, refuses the dying wish of a hospice patient (deputy) a retirement star, never once attends officers funerals, calls Cook County his universe at the accountability meetings. Even his hired jail psychiatrist says he is off the charts on Narcissistic Personality Disorder. And this is the person we are all suppose to respect..
Court Services Deputies and Correctional Officers drop back to John Q. Public status once they are separated from service. Unless they can get a concealed carry permit they're SOL. They're not police officers but are deputized by the Sheriff. They probably should apply for CCW before retiring.
Unfortunately some of our court services deputies and County correctional officers are being prohibited from carrying a firearm after retirement, and there is an active lawsuit right now.
So our non-police but still LE retirees after 30 plus years of caging these animals retire and they need a way to protect themselves so they're forced to get a CCL.
Please God, is there anyone in CPD that will run for Sheriff? Anyone? I am afraid that this guy Izzo that thinks he has a whiff of a chance is going to get steamrollered, and we get stuck here with Dart for another 4 years.

With all the supervisors gone from Markham due to the rape incident. Who was sent there to replace them? How are there only 7 people on the court sgts. list who dont have active cr numbers against them?
You can tell that there must be some truth to this story, as it has the familiar byline from County that "no syringe was found". Similar to how they can't find drugs, weapons, etc., but they sure look real hard for a reason to refuse intaking a prisoner!
