No Kidding?

  • The U.S. attorney’s office in Chicago, among the busiest in the nation, must set its priorities to fit the times.

Twenty years ago, the top priority might have been public corruption. Ten years ago, it might have been white-collar crime.

Today, as John Lausch prepares to take over the job, we urge the U.S. attorney’s office in Chicago to focus on one priority above all others:

Ridding our city of illegal guns.
Um, no. You need to rid the city of those using guns illegally. You know, like that woman trafficking in guns who got probation? Or the other guy who pled guilty to a single count of gun trafficking while the other dozen or so gun charges disappeared under Foxxx's reign.

If the feds start jailing those who supply the guns via straw buying, etc. and jail them for extensive amounts of time (i.e. 10 years to start PER GUN), two things will happen:
  1. The cries of "racism!" will rise up out from Machine democrats, and
  2. crime will actually go down - significantly.
Bet the farm on it.

It would be nice if AG Sessions sicked the US Attorney on the Chicago Democrat Party Machine.

But if they can't / won't drain the swamp in Washington DC, there is no way they can drain the swamp in Chicago.

I don't know. I think corruption should be the priority. Get rid of the crooked politicians like Rahm, Toni, Lil Kim and their ilk, actually enforce the laws, and give real sentencing to criminals, and maybe you solve some of the illegal gun issue too.

Foxxx needs to agree to cooperate and share with the Feds.

Will She?

Will the PTB allow her to share, or do they want the carnage to continue?

SCC - as usual, you hit the 10 ring. And also very succinct. One additional thought, that U S Magistrate (an Asian surname) who sets bond like a Cook County judge should only hear non criminal cases if Federal prosecution is going to be successful.

You would think that after operation greylord and gambat, the feds would oversee the crook co. court system in perpetuity. The non sentencing going on here now is just as bad. The democratic organization is just as bad as any other crime syndicate, it's just not labeled as such. We still have Ed Burke here, and his co-conspirator wife sitting on the Illinois supreme court, and they are as dirty as any mob associate ever was. Look into it.

It will be far safer politically to attempt to rid the city of "illegal guns" as there will be no cries of racial discrimination made by any of these guns. If you try to rid the city of human users of "illegal guns", or rid the city of shooters, murderers, killers, then the cries will come of racial discrimination. Look at the new "Death Wish" movie that is out. Apparently the first quite a few thugs he deals with are White people. The city's powers that be will maintain their myth that one particular segment of the city is not at all the problem and it is racist to say otherwise.

I'm going in the opposite direction. Let these assholes have guns, it's working just fine in the world of illumination. Once attrition occurs, come in and get the gun suppliers. This would be liken to killing two birds with one stone. Oh, lets try what Obama did in Fast and Furious, give them guns, but this time really track them; with a chip, ballistically, and who purchased or was in possession of gun while committing a crime. Follow the gun and the blood trail and when the time is right, shut them down with heavy federal prosecution. And we all know why Obama started Fast and Furious, it was to demonstrate guns were coming from U.S. to Mexico, like it was a lope hole in buying guns. Thereby, drumming up support to implement stronger gun laws, however, the plan back fired on Holder and the rest. It would work just fine on the south and westside and would be a great chess move. I need help here, a clever name for a similar Fed program; Faster then a speeding bullet, Furious Racist,
Obama/Holder Lead Summit, Bang Bang Your Dead, well you get the idea........

Its not a supply problem. It is a use problem. Yall have to break through the con that possession is use. It is not. Yall have to see through the "prevention" con. Its fake, it is designed to be fake. It is crafted to make ya endlessly chase your own tail, running a lot but never getting anywhere.

Supply will ALWAYS meets demand, no matter what "prevention" is attempted. The proper reaction here is to nail the actual offenders, the doers of the real crimes, the ones who actually rob and rape and murder.

I realize the urge is to prevent these things from happening, but that is a utopian view, an impossible task.

What can actually come to pass though is dealing swiftly and specifically with the bad actors themselves. Put the focus on the real criminals, the ones using guns nefariously.

That is the change that will produce results. The rest is window dressing....that spiffs up a hole that has no glass in it.

The main function of this us attorney is to prosecute Rahm and the machine. Maggie hickey of the OEIG has repeatedly refused to investigate capuzi who got caught with the emails for other massive corruption because he was protected by both democratic and RINO types. The us attorney must investigate Rahm and especially Ferguson for refusing to investigate corruption in the machine and CPD iAd corruption like davina Ward who he was ordered to investigate by IPRA and never did. We also need a grand jury on the lieutenant cheating scandal that Rahm and Ferguson swept under the rug.

I think that the history of making things illegal and then trying to prosecute your way into making those kinds of laws work ought to show that they just don't work. Prohibition didn't work. The War on Drugs doesn't work. The laws on Banning various kinds of firearms and other weapons don't work. All they do is make what ought to be a simple thing in the criminal justice system more complex and harder to operate.

The key really needs to be getting violent offenders to trial as quickly as possible and putting them away as quickly as possible. Even if you have to stop prosecuting minor offenses so that you have the resources to go after the really bad guys that's what you have to do if you want to go after the bad guys. The waste of time in the Court's going after people for smoking joints or gambling or prostitution when those resources could be used to go after violent criminals is pathetic. The system needs to decide what's really important and spend its resources there.
