This Ended Well

  • An off-duty Chicago police officer fatally shot a teenager Tuesday night while he was trying to buy a computer from that teenager in south suburban Hazel Crest.

At around 9 p.m. in front of a vacant house on Birchwood Drive, the off-duty officer was approached by two men who said they were the online sellers the officer had been communicating with.

"One of the subjects pulled a gun, and they proceeded to go through his pockets while they had the gun on him and take all of his personal possessions out of his pocket," Hazel Crest Police Chief Mitchell Davis said in a press conference.

Police said that the officer fired his weapon when the pair tried to take his badge and gun. According to police, one of the suspects was hit and killed, and the other fled the scene.
Special Ed actually came out from under anesthesia just to strip the involved Officer for 30 days.

A job well done Officer - and a lesson well taught to the bad guy.

That's one less teenager taking the Cmdr. Jon Burge
Brainwashing class on alleged torture.
More of these high-testosterone punks should be exposed
to cases where teenagers were rightfully shot and killed
during the commission of a felony.

FYI,

A lot of smart police departments set up an area next to the police station or precinct house with lots of cameras for people to meet and exchange legal goods. That cuts down a lot on this kind of crime.

To Our Brother & Sister Officers:
“As you know, the City of Houston is in the midst of a catastrophe like we have never seen before. The scope of the damage will not be known for weeks, maybe longer. We have already lost so much, including Sgt. Steve Perez, a 34-year veteran of the Houston PD, who drowned in his car trying to get to work at 4 am in the morning on Sunday, August 27th.

“So many of you have reached out to ask how you can help and we are very grateful. Right now, sending money to assist those officers who lost their homes and/or vehicles is most helpful for us. We ask that you send donations to “Assist the Officer, Inc.,” a 501(C)3 charity established 30 years ago in Houston to provide aid to law enforcement people during these kinds of disasters (www.assisttheofficer.com). There is a link on the site for Harvey Relief.

“I can assure you that 100% of whatever you send will go directly to Houston-area law enforcement people who have suffered severe losses from the floods. Upon request, we will be happy to provide you with a complete report on donations and expenditures if you need it.

“We will keep you updated on the situation as it progresses and please accept our heartfelt thanks for whatever you can do to help us. If you have suffered a loss in this terrible incident, please just send your prayers.

“Make your check out to: Assist the Officer, Inc. and indicate on the check that the donation is for Hurricane Harvey Relief for Law Enforcement.

“Mail your check to: Houston Police Officers’ Union, 1600 State Street Houston, TX 77007.

“Thank you and God bless.”

Don't be so paranoid. I've bought (and sold) many things on Craigslist. It's just like everything else. If your Spidy Sense is telling you it's bad then back out. I was looking for a car for my son and was suppose to meet the guy at a CVS at a certain time. Being a cop I got there early to scope the place. He called and asked if I was there yet. I told him I wasn't and asked if he was. He said he was there with the car (which he wasn't) and asked if I brought the money and what I'd be driving. He was real concerned that I had the money with me when I got there. He asked what kind of car I'd be in and if I'd be alone. That's when I knew it was time to bail. Maybe he was just being overly cautious about me but why take a chance. Any small items I'd have them bring out to a neutral location like a parking lot of a store.

It's unbelievable how many leftard scum crawl out from under their rocks to make anti-police comments on news websites when it's a police involved shooting.

Just because this officer was looking to save some money and buy online from a private seller, these leftists automatically say that something 'stinks' with the story, that something 'must be up', and crap like, 'Oh yeah, what's the real story.'

Anyway, f--k them, and love the outcome. Glad the officer was unscathed.

Woke up to this great news a thug taking a "dirt nap" copper ok! this is definitely "change we can believe in" then over here we have this anarchist group, who mask as great people moving millions in "donations" off shore and paying their "directors" 6 figures nothing but another scheme to extort money,as big business gives them millions "please don't protest against us" they must of went to the jesse jackson school of how to extort! Wait a minute instead of teaching the skulls full of mush the propaganda lie about Burge, how about showing how jesse jackson extorted budweiser (shit beer) to give his son the biggest budweiser franchise in chicagoland, where him and jesse made millions?

Southern Poverty Law Center Transfers Millions in Cash to Offshore Entities

http://freebeacon.com/issues/southern-poverty-law-center-transfers-millions-in-cash-to-offshore-entities/

excerpt:The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a liberal, Alabama-based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization that has gained prominence on the left for its "hate group" designations, pushes millions of dollars to offshore entities as part of its business dealings, records show.

Additionally, the nonprofit pays lucrative six-figure salaries to its top directors and key employees while spending little on legal services despite its stated intent of "fighting hate and bigotry" using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is perhaps best known for its "hate map," a collection of organizations the nonprofit deems "domestic hate groups" that lists mainstream conservative organizations alongside racist groups such as the Ku Klux Klan and is often referenced in the media. A gunman opened fire at the Washington, D.C., offices of the conservative Family Research Council in 2012 after seeing it listed as an "anti-gay" group on SPLC's website.

We definitely need that "hope and change" there! We can hope that the feds can change the liars and charge them soon!

Who am I kidding look at chiraq, the rahm-50-toni-tommy-bruce team boldly breaking federal immigration laws costing us the taxpayers hundreds of millions in federal aid, we are the "forgotten men and women" here especially the hard working CPD officers who everyday take more hits than what were thrown during the McGregor fight!

If they don't want to meet in front of the station, might be a good idea to take a pass
If it's during the day, say at noon there are plenty of public places to meet where there are people constantly walking by, say a mall, strip mall , right in front of the front door of Home Depot

Yes the above advice should be taken by everyone. Never meet someone on the street to conclude a financial transaction. Meet at the local police station or at your bank. The bank will give you a room to conduct business if you are their customer and they will verify any cashiers or post office checks that someone gives you.

Hazel Crest, Country Club Hills, and the surrounding area has changed dramatically. The area is full of hyenas preying on whomever they can. Those suburbs are an extension of a bad district, and most have only 3-4 coppers on duty. "It beez quiet aroun' here. They only shoot once a week." Twenty years ago a U of C professor predicted Hazel Crest will be a ghetto complete with liquor stores, payday loan joints, beauty supply stores and BBQ joints. Most decent people got out in the mid '80's.

OT: CROWD UPENDS COUNCIL MEETING
About 200 people commandeered Wednesday’s Phoenix City Council meeting to rail against city leaders and vent frustration over the Phoenix Police Department’s crowd-control tactics during President Donald Trump’s Aug. 22 downtown rally.
The individuals came to the meeting to criticize an independent investigation into police action that the council was expected to approve, but took the opportunity to lambaste the Police Department and the council’s lack of action.
Thousands descended on downtown last week to hear Trump speak inside the Phoenix Convention Center. Thousands more protested outside.
Although protests were largely peaceful, the night ended with Phoenix police deploying teargas, pepper balls and foam projectiles.
The crowd that took over council chambers Wednesday was raucous. When council members tried to restore order and turned off the public microphone, members of the crowd began yelling their comments.
Many residents also questioned why police officers have access to chemicals for crowd dispersals.
“When you militarize our police force, there is no one for them to go to war with except their own citizens,”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Police had the audacity to respond with non-lethal tactics when they were attacked with bottles ,bricks and cars. This is in Arizona a fairly conservative state but that is changing because many liberal wackos from California fleeing to Arizona for economic reasons.
Why anyone would come on this job today is beyond me. There is no longer any correct action you can take. At this stage of the game park where no one can see you go to your calls say yes and no to questions and leave.Fuck them all! For those of you who say how would you like that kind of service, I like most people I know never call the police. I recently had a conversation with a sergeant who is connected and has a good spot. He said he hates SCC because the job is great and SCC ruins morale, while he is trying to get the new guys on board with his all is well message. To be led by people so out of touch with reality is insane except in Shitcago it's the norm. I'm sure he will be a big help when the feds show up.

DESCRIPTION
A consensus is growing that the era of mass incarceration must end. But there’s significantly less agreement on what created it in the first place—and where to look for solutions.
The war on drugs has rightly been scrutinized for its role in contributing to the expansion of the prison population, but the role of prosecutors – with their tremendous discretionary power -- has received far less attention. Local prosecutors are one of the main drivers of mass incarceration, favoring felony convictions with longer sentences, offering punitive plea bargains, and overpowering public defenders in resources and influence.
A movement to focus reform efforts on the district attorney’s office is now underway. In November a handful of reform-minded prosecutors were elected who have bucked Trump’s “law and order” tide and vowed to reduce sentences and provide more alternatives to incarceration. Chicago’s Kim Foxx is one of them.
On Tuesday, September 12, she’ll join a panel arranged by WBEZ Chicago and The Marshall Project to discuss the role of prosecutors in driving mass incarceration, what reforms are necessary - and what is politically possible. The event will include:
Kim Foxx, Cook County prosecutor elected in 2016 with a mandate for change.
Sharone Mitchell, program director at the Illinois Justice Project. Previously, Mitchell was a trial attorney with the Cook County Public Defender’s Office from 2009 to 2016.
Bill Keller, editor-in-chief of The Marshall Project, a nonprofit newsroom that covers the US criminal justice system. Keller is the former Executive Editor of The New York Times.
Robert Wildeboer (moderator), WBEZ Chicago’s Criminal Justice Desk Senior Editor.

****

Never! Bring the money with you the first time around. Or at least Never! tell the guy you have the money!
First meet-make it clear you aren't bringing the cash out until you've had the chance to look the car over, do a short test drive, etc. tell him or her you also want to see the title and verify the complete Info is correct, that the seller is the owner that you're speaking with and the VIN matches perfectly!

If he doesn't agree-look for another car.

If you like the car and all checks out, if you feel absolutely comfortable, have the seller meet you at a bank of your choice where you feel safe and do the transaction there.
Another perfect place to do the deal would be at an Secretary of State facility where you can do the title and registration paperwork on the spot!

Again, if he doesn't agree, look for another car.

There's a lot more cars out there for sale than there are buyers!

Good luck and be safe!

Absolutely fact, I grew up there and graduated High School in 78. Was out that with my son about a month ago and made the mistake of going by the childhood house , swore I musta been in the wrong town...........

Thank God he dropped this mutt in the burbs, can't imagine having a 13% clear-up guy giving me advice in a shooting. No offense, but the new Homicide people are scary.

8/31/2017 10:55:00 PM

Holy shit, that is scary, never gave it much thought. You were always told, wait for the Detective before you talk to anyone. And that's if the Dick shows up on time. With the incompetence in the D, I'll wait for my Attorney before I say a word. Unless ordered to make a statement and that order will have to be put in writing. Wow, we can't even depend on the D, so you get into a shooting your on your own basically. Like Spock said, live long and prosper and he should have added, be fetal.

Event description

Everyone should be concerned if they are involved in a shooting. Just some friendly advice, when the detective arrives, ask how many police shootings he/she's been assigned. That question will give you an idea what your up against. Don't be shy in asking these type of questions, if you're not satisfied with the assigned detective, call your supervisor and articulate your concerns. All homicide detectives are not all created equal, you have to very mindful especially of someone who is going to be assigned a police shooting. Just a short story, I was involved in a shooting some years back and the detective assigned kept injecting his own moral code into the investigation. On view strong armed robbery, two witnesses, and the victim. I shot a fleeing strong armed robber who was out running me and would have escaped. He was shot in the left leg and was going to live. This detective kept telling me, if I killed this guy, I would be in trouble. When the Street Dep. showed up and heard what the detective was saying about I was lucky the offender wasn't dead, he called the area and had another detective assigned to the shooting. Ask questions and protect yourself, if you're not sure, seek legal advise.

IPRA Ordinance empowers the agency to investigate such an incident, regardless of its site, even if there are no allegations of misconduct. See MCC sec. 2-57-040(c).

MCC code means dick in Hazelcrest.

I have bought many items from Craigslist. I use common sense and at the same time been lucky. One lady I used to buy white sox tickets from. She would bring her cop friend with her unannounced b it never bothered me and I told her that. A guy even gave me for free a California king mattress with the head rest for free. Glad the cop is ok. Those punks mad a bad choice that day.

Only take a check at the bank of the buyer. If you take cash have the buyer meet you at your bank and have the teller run the money thru the counting machine to detect funny money. Never meet 99 and always bring your beanie. ♠️

IPRA will investigate the officer because he is a City employee.

If there is no allegation of misconduct tho why investigate? Investigate what? Does the suburban department have to cooperate with them? Especially as the investigation may still be in progress. They are not a law enforcement agency.

On a shooting by off duty in the suburbs, that suburb's dics and usually the Illinois State Police Public Integrity Unit will investigate it. From the few times I've seen the ISP Pub Int Unit, they are all ISP Dics and seemed to be pretty good people. All IPRA is doing is looking for Department rule violations. They have squat to say about any charges being brought against the offender or the off duty P/O. They are a CIVILIAN agency.

And I have a relative that works in Hazel Crest. Same south side Chicago thugs, just different streets. Although not as bad as some of the neighboring suburbs (Harvey, Markham, Dolton).

Many of our Homicide people have no experience in police type shooting incidents. Couple the lack of experience with the fear of which way the wind is blowing politically and in plain English you could get fucked. First and foremost, call the FOP for an Attorney. The mind set of these new Detectives are not the same as the Dicks of just a few years ago. They will not go that extra step to make things right for you. As was mentioned in this blog, its not the same anymore, where you would first talk to the assigned Detective. Protect your self and if you are still doing active police work, plan and know what you are going to do if involved in a shooting incident.
