Guess Who?

  • A 24-year-old man on parole for a gun conviction was charged Wednesday with attempted murder in a shooting at a CTA Red Line subway station in the Loop two weeks ago, according to Chicago police.

Kornell Strenger, of Chicago, is scheduled to appear Thursday at a bond hearing at the Leighton Criminal Court Building for the Aug. 17 shooting that left a man wounded in the ankle and left arm at the Jackson Boulevard station.

Police have said the gunman targeted the victim when firing into a northbound train about 7:45 p.m., though no motive has been disclosed. The gunfire caused other passengers to panic and scramble for cover.

At the time of the shooting, Strenger was on parole after serving prison time for a gun conviction, Cook County court records show.
Parole isn't working. And even with a felony conviction, he still managed to get his hands on another gun. Amazing.

A convicted felon with a gun on the CTA? Maybe he didn't see the No Gun sign at the station. I'm sure Kimme will take this into consideration when this chap comes to court.♠️

For some insane reason, age is taken into consideration for these criminals. If they are under 25, they get second, third and fourth chances. But it is evident that number one, you cannot and should not obtain employment for a violent offense. Period. Kids should realize that. Two, if you continue to do dirt, you should pay and the next time, pay more. Parole should not become a option when you accumulate felony convictions. But again it would take a leader to suggest these changes.

These thugs and criminals are safer if they are locked up. They are shot less in prison.

And the neighborhoods are a damned lot safer with them locked up too.

Sooooo, what you're saying is that none of the laws worked?

- Felons prohibited from firearm possession
- Possession of firearms on Mass Transit (open or concealed)
- Firing a firearm into a loaded train car w/o provocation or immediate threat to his life

Hmmm, wonder if we could pass some more laws? You know, like prohibiting parole for schmucks who were in jail for violent crimes furthered by firearms?

Naaaaa, who am I kidding? We're in the middle of Dumbocrat Central - they need all the votes they can get!

If you think parole not working. Look at COOK COUNTY ADULT PROBATION DEPT. The liberal asswipe chief Haywood and his two assistant chiefs MAT Solbeski and Nicole Raymond came out with policies not to turn over convicted illegal felons to ICE. All OFFICERS are ordered not to notify ICE. Haywood disbanded the dept weapons gang unit that has been making good arrest of convicted felons on gang probation.

Well Sheriff Dart what say yee now. With your statement 50% of these men don't belong here. And they are all innocent until proven guilty and therefore NO bail is necessary, His out of control EM should be Un monitored. He is a Progressive Social worker who has NO business being a sheriff. He has NO law enforcement experience and lacks even a basic Knowledge of the street. Yea I know, out on parole is probably not one of his "clients" as he calls them but was at one time He is just another nail in the coffin of this once great City and State.

All the more reason to carry on the CTA. The problem is the bangers have not learned to read, therefore the signs are useless. Wake up people if your not armed your the next victim. Better to by judged by 12 than carried by 6.

It sure is funny that not one news agency saw fit to mention that this young black man was on parole . I feel very sorry for all those still on the job

But the CTA is a gun free zone! How did he get that in there? You'd never need to or want to carry concealed on public transport there is absolutely no hazard to it. Nothing to see here.

I don't understand. He served his time behind bars, paid his debt to society, and was deemed worthy of parole so he could live free in society, so why did he offend again? I'm so confused.

Kornell "Korn Dawg" Strenger was no stranger to crime - shocking.

KitneyBean Special Ed seen this incident simply as another "petty offense settled with a gun" and therefore KabriniKim will concur by dropping the new case at Korn Dawgs first appearance. She'll probably refused any notification to IDOC that felon is in custody too. Equal Sanctuary rights apply to non-immigrants too.

As for penalty -
The non cooperative 'victim' already had his get-even drive by.
And I think CTA would be satisfied and willing to give Korn Dawg one of those Back to Work Felon jobs to help pay the cost of the new train car window. That's far more compassionate than being J-A-I-L-T.

In the meanwhile Fake News outlets are scrambling to find out which judge or agency Who Let the Korn Dawg Out.
Accountability is coming. Please be patient.

Ok, but does it count or meet the Chicago Values - Cook County "The Right Arrest for the Right Crime" criterion?

So whatever...today since about 8am I had left the radio on WBBM-AM 780 for static white noise.
Every half hour it seemed they repeated an update on the Special Ed Medical saga.
Meanwhile on average every 2 hours someone is shot in Feral Chicago that's not reported on.
Is today that day, the days the shootings stopped and fulfilled Special Ed's wish?

Do we need a Medical State countdown clock?

Hey Jugghead !
- Days on Medical: 4
- Shootings on Medical: 38
- Killings Since Medical: 4
- Days til Finally Gone: (pending)
- Narravarro Get Well - Hurry Back Soon Cards: 0

It would seem that there was some kind of personal issue between the two men. Bad lover's spat? Drug debt? Maybe the offender had been stalking the victim?

If Strenger's attorney starts making any allegations that lead to a night of dancing at the COPA, would that mean the officer(s) are getting a Korned Beef?

What if some (or all) of the paperwork then fell into a spilled puddle of WhistlePig Old World? Would the end result of the COPA investigation be a Korned Beef on Rye?

*dodges the tomatoes and other types of rancid, airborne produce*

The crowd is going wild! Thank you and good night!
