Easy Pinch
- An armed 13-year-old boy wanted in a Minnesota shooting was arrested Wednesday by Chicago police downtown after they chased him to the Chicago Domestic Violence Courthouse, authorities said.
Having learned from a relative of the teen’s that he was arriving in Chicago from Minnesota on a Megabus, police went to the Megabus stop at Polk and Clinton streets in the South Loop and spotted him there around 9:30 a.m., authorities said.
When he saw the officers, the boy, who had a 9 mm handgun in his waistband, ran away, authorities said. The officers caught up to him a few blocks away outside the courthouse, at 555 W. Harrison St., where he ran onto a ramp in a prisoner van intake area, authorities said.
Does anyone have an idea why he would have fled to Chicago with his pistol? There's plenty of pistols here to get - practically on every street corner. Maybe he thought you can get away with anything in Chicago, so he came here to try his luck?

Apparently, you can get away with bringing your gun in to Chicago from out of town and get away with it. In July, ASA Jackie (fucked up last name) denied felony charges on a bird from St. Louis who came in on a party bus for a bar crawl. Guy ends up on the southside and is bored at a bar and decides to go buy weed at the local spot bragging about his pistol. Dudes at the spot say, fuck this out-of-towner, and snitch. Arrest made, two guns recovered and charges denied. Why? Apparently, St. Louis isn't required to carry any FOID, CCL or any documentation to carry a weapon. So since this fine young citizen lived under these expectations, he was given the benefit of the doubt by the ASA. Coward ass pieces of shit in that office!! Next year's suggestion for FOP handbook... eliminate the Felony Review phone number!!
You could now get your guns and ammo from your local cps tracher

13 Year old boy.....where did he get a pistol ? The law says that you have to be 21 to buy a pistol. We are a nation of laws, how is this possible ?

So is he a "boy," a "child," or a "teen?" We all know the media and the community like to think people of a certain age can't be dangerous. A 13 year old armed with a gun is just an impossibility in their eyes. At least they can't call this one a Chicago public school student. They like to use that when one of the local youthful criminals is in the news.

The only thing I find incredulous about this tale of woe is that one of the little bad boy's relatives actually called and got the police involved......
That is what more of the relatives should be doing.....hell, it ain't Martians coming down shooting robbing killing the citizens of the community......it's their sons, daughters, uncles, baby daddies, who are destroying their lives......how many more innocent lives need to be lost before they realize that the police are NOT the problem? Until the good people there unite to rid their community of the bad, murder and mayhem will continue.....
Too bad there isn't a politician in the city, county, or state who will call this out for what it is......

I don't know if they have the correct number in this years edition but it hasn't been correct for years.
He'll have some time to ponder where his plan went wrong.

Easy pinch? When is apprehending an offender with a loaded weapon an easy pinch? Only if the offender has a heart attack and dies before popping off a round or uses the weapon to take themselves out before taking others with them. Thank the Lord the Minnesota thug did not decide to start running and gunning because he could have taken more than a few citizens and/or officers with him. Shit can go bad in the blink of an eye.
OTOH, because of our bravery, commitment to the safety of our city, professionalism and training, we can make it look easy, but until you have totally mitigated the threat and have the bad guy's gun unloaded and securely in your possession, there is nothing simple or rote about it.
Takes off from the Megabus area and runs into a prisoner receiving area? Not exactly a clean escape, methinks. Glad he was taken into custody without incident.
Word is he ordered a medium pepperoni lovers with a side of breadsticks and a 2 liter of Pepsi at Papa Tom's - kind of a "leave the gun, take the pizza" sort of deal.

An article in Sunday's paper highlighted the great work that a juvenile court judge has been doing the past couple of years, by giving the young criminals books!!!
That explains a lot.
