Last Day for K-9 Statues
From the CPMF:
- The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation invites you to take advantage of the warm summer-like weather this weekend by heading to the Magnificent Mile for one last trip to see the beautiful K9s statues, modeled after those utilized by the Chicago Police Department's Canine Unit. After two months on display, the K9s guarding the streets will be headed to their new homes early next week.
Interested in owning your own K9? Some of the K9s, including all of those designed to honor Chicago's professional sports teams, will be up for auction starting Monday, September 25, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. The auction will run through October 4, at noon. Please visit www.chicagok9s.com for more information.
No idea what these would go for price-wise, but someone wrote to us that one designed for a Chicago Cub fundraiser went for over $20,000 a few weeks ago.

Shop at the Jewel in Merrionette Park. While I was there, the cashier started pointing to a M/1 who was running around with a full cart. She said they go in there all the time and walk out with full carts and dump tons of food in the back of waiting vehicles that take off. By this time the offender to be, noticed everyone watching him and switches to an empty cart (I'm thinking to use as a weapon if anyone try to grab him). He walks to the door with the empty basket and strolls away. The manager in the meantime is calling the Merrionette Park police who arrive as he is walking away. They stop him, question him, and let him go. No arrest for CT even tho he has repeatedly been told not to come in that store. WTF! I figured they would arrest him just to inconvenience him. Oh well it's a new world, I better get used to it.

It's up to the victim(Jewel) to have him arrested. Apparently they didn't want to sign complaints. Arresting someone just to "inconvenience" them as you say does nothing except get the cops fired.

The untold story, they've saved countless lives, and injuries; that's what I think of when I look at these statues.

These cases are typically then dropped at the bond hearing. An override is nothing but a feel good move for the arresting coppers, attempting to show the the department "has their back". None if any are ever pursued. Do you really think an ASA is going to put on a case that they already declined?

Where do you think this policy is coming from? Most if not all managers follow the corporate position. In cases like this corporate would rather let it go than to prosecute. Not worth the time and effort and a chance of exposing the company to a liability.
Several large retailers inform their employees not to take any action. A few have fired employees and managers for stopping theft or chasing the offender. Times are changing

The statue for next summer is going to be of Phil Cline of the Chicago Police Memorial Fund (CPMF). Phil will be on many downtown corners from 04 July 2018 through 30 September 2018. The Cline statue I will glorify for display will be all in gold because the CPMF is the thing he's got that's fucking golden for Phil. It is his personal windfall that keeps on giving.....to him. He makes big money in pension from the city and in a big salary and benefits and a car from the CPMF, a fund he created to create his personal wealth. Any copper still participating in payroll deduction for Phil's scam is just helping to perpetuate it. Yes, he does some nice things around Christmas and at the Police Memorial, but by and large, it is all to disguise the scam he is pulling right before our eyes. Phil enriches himself off the backs of our revered and honorable dead. There is a special place in hell for him. Fuck you Phil.

I never thought about the scam being passed along or that it would be passed to little captain mattie, but you caught it. Thank you for sharing your insight. Hopefully, as time passes, more and more contributors will see the truth about Phil's CPMF scam.
Also find it hard to even consider supporting the CPMF---Cline started it as supe--and put a serious stoing arm on entire dept to contribute and phat phil and friends continues to personally benefit from it today.
No matter if some one searches for his necessary thing, thus he/she wishes to be available that in detail,
therefore that thing is maintained over here.
