Minimum effect here.......the presumption of literacy precludes noticible influence.........now, if they'd used an image based strategy......you know.....cartoons.......maybe.......
"Bus Stop / Bus Shelter Ads: Range of $5,500 - $7,500 per ad per 4 week period (and less in suburban areas)." This according to bluelinemedia. http://www.bluelinemedia.com/bus-advertising/chicago-il
Rahmn is also spending our tax dollars putting photos of people in the bus shelters which depict people who came from elsewhere but are "Chicagoans" with 100% Irish American, 100% Muslim American, 100% Mexican American and others. There is one at Milwaukee & Elston with a photo of a female CPD officer that says 100% African American. Go to their website at: onechi.org. They even have a logo One Chicago and you can buy items with the logo. So what it all boils down to is they are pandering for the immigrant vote whether legal or illegal as "we all came from somewhere else and we are all one." In a clip from the Sun Times, Rebecca Shi, Ex. Dir. of the Business Immigration Coalition said, "With the election of Donald J Trump immigrant has become a bad word." Notice how she has twisted it. Trump is trying to enforce US immigration laws against ILLEGAL ALIENS not legal immigrants. But the Democrats are desperate as they need to normalize all these "Chicago Ones" into the voter base. To hell with all the legal Americans. And also to familiarize and normalize COPA to the public. What a propaganda machine! Do you want Rahmn spending our tax dollars this way?
COPA must draw enough complaints to justify their existence. Complaints are their lifeblood; without them their budget is in danger of cuts. Advertising works.
Also on digital billboard on I55. Those are 16,000 per month. At least they were a couple years ago. Might be more now because the ads rotate through more locations.
I thought it was a new cable tv advertisement unbeleivable no integrity, respect or morals left, only in chicago the most violent city in the country do we see advertisements to suppress the police!
I think FOP needs to make a F.O.I.A. request for the cost information. Isn't one of Rahm's Trumpeted clichés is that the city is "transparent." Let's see....open the books!
Those signs are really insulting. If anybody on the job is doing anything more than answering calls for service then you are part of the problem. The City Democrats are doing what they want and not what the silent majority of citizens want. Create a diversion with the police, display them as the bad guys while the politicians are incompetent and riddled with corruption. Rather than deal with the problem of crime and violence they devise a false problem to fight, that is the police. Time to march on City Hall with a no confidence display. Time to get out the big inflatable rat that the trades use. Make that little rat cower in his office. The unions needs to take the lead and organize something. You would be suprised how many retired members who are already pissed about the health care would give their time. We retired have nothing to lose by protesting where you may not be able to but it should not be incumbent that we organize it. The unions have the ability to communicate job actions.
COPA is a bureacracy. Their goal is to create an ever increasing demand for their agency. By "investing" taxpayer monies with connected advertising agencies, the expectation is to justify their existence with more frivilous cases. With a greater demand comes growth. With growth there is an expectation for a larger budget. A larger agency begs for more politically connected six figure executives for oversight for all the new investigators hired for the increased workload. More citizen complaints suggests that an actual problem exists with a buck-wild law enforcement agency giving politicians cover for their nefarious day to day budgetary shenanigans and outright political related corruption. Academia gets grants and consultation contracts to study, analyze and make recommendations related to citizen complaints. Police are the politician's and academia's whipping boy. Money for academia and a diversion for political malfeasance catering to a government dependent constituency for elected officials are the motivations.
Advertising conditions the public into thinking there exist open and notorious out of control police agency. And the b.s continues as the murder rate, the carjackings and index crimes skyrocket with no end in sight. The great misdirection focuses on those actually doing police work risking their lives for a greatful public. Many wear the uniform but a small percentage actually do police related work.
In the meantime, an agenda-driven police misconduct creating agency seeks to toot their own horn by a blanket condemnation of those who are doing their best keeping the lid on society's trash can in a workplace characterized by an irrational, lawbreaking violence driven culture.
COPA needs numbers. Without numbers they will have thier budget cut.Budget cuts and low numbers will mean COPA manpower cuts. Manpower cuts will show that they were blowing smoke up many citizens asses. Stay fetal to support lower numbers.
Seems that they want to go back in time to when anyone could call for service and say that there is a gun, to get Police there faster. If they didn't like the service or response time they called OPS and put in a complaint. You lock up Pookie you get a complaint. They only wanted his ass out the house not locked up! They took any and all complaints...
They have them up and down the 290. Funny, haven't seen any on the far Northwest side. Seems a bit racially biased if you ask me. Than again, when you spend money like it grows in Rahm's garden you can afford the high end marketing firms who spend $$$ and a lot of time identifying the most lucrative audience to target.

Up to $600 for four weeks, I think
There's a billboard on inbound 290 between Harlem and the Loop.

Heard an ad on the Spanish radio station the other day. They said if you have been mistreated by police give us a call.
If I'm not mistaken...they had them on the digital billboards ('They Live' style...look it up) on the ken e/b lanes. We are fucked.
Bus shelters? They have ads on the expressway on 90/94
Trolling for Customers.
They are doing this for the same reason the ambulance chasers advertise.
They want more "business."

I'll call them & ask where l can report political corruption.

Lucky for us the low information voters can't read !
The ads say thorough and timely investigations...not fair.
They could use radio ads using the same guy who did the Nr. Microphone ads.
Hey good lookin', we'll be back to pick you up later.
I absolutely hate this city and people who run it, I try not to wish Il-will on anyone but they're testing me!!!!!
Wtf, I'm a mutt, but was born and bred here, didn't break any federal laws, never been arrested ....... guess that doesn't count anymore.

I for one am a fan of these ads.
It reminds me to give no fucks and to STAY FETAL.

Not gonna be any complaints when cops dont stop anyone. Why the hell should they. I wouldnt and don't.

There's a COPA poster and cards in the CAPS Office.
It must be legitimate.
When's the Open House - Meet & Greet ?
