- Black women in Chicago are coming to the realization that the best defense is a good offense.
Despite Democrat leadership in the crime-ridden city imploring citizens to let law enforcement handle the exploding crime, residents — primarily black women — are thinking for themselves and buying guns for self defense.
The Chicago Tribune reported that nearly 1,400 black women in Illinois have received concealed carry permits in 2017. That number has gone up since last year and is almost twice the 800 who did so in 2014. More than 4,000 black women currently have a concealed carry permit in Cook County alone, where Chicago is located.
The first step to throwing off the government yoke is to realize that you, and you alone, are responsible for your own opinions, actions and safety. The second step is to stop voting for democrats/dependency.

The public will find out Thursday the Chicago Police Department's next steps when it comes to changing their use of force policy. It's been a source of deep controversy for the city, going back decades.
The CPD is expected at 10 a.m. to outline details of a new training program. The key tool in the new policy is using de-escalation to save lives. It will teach officers to use force when it's "reasonable or proportional."
Other topics include mental health awareness, human rights and community policing.
Earlier this year, the CPD announced the new guideline as part of the department's comprehensive roadmap to reform.
Police also said the department plans to launch a new in-service training program, which would require all department members to take 40-hours of continuing education every year by 2021.
The new policy comes after months of public meetings and questions over some officers' excessive use of force.
The CPD said all officers will undergo four-hour in person training by this fall, when the new policy is expected to go into effect.
When this new policy was announced months ago, Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said it will also call on officers to report others who violate the policy.

I totally agree and love the idea of law abiding citizens getting CCW. I have mine and know that for sure I need it since I live in Englewood surrounded by all kinds of garbage in human form. In fact just last week my neighbor threatened me because I did not want to hear his loud music and have him throw more garbage (beer cans and styrofoam plates of leftover food) on the ground near my house. He wanted to come over the fence to attack me but he knew he would have gotten 2 in the chest. Now if only these women are told to get insurance like I was told to do by a Lt. in 007. You will need a lawyer if you plug one of these fools who would not hesistate to harm you.

Somehow the lifelong drumbeat of "Guns won't make you any safer" and "You're not really qualified to own a handgun" was ignored by Mr. McDonald and a little bit of Constitutional liberty was restored to a major American city.

Worked a load of years on the south side back in the 60's and 70's and am proud to say, after evaluating the circumstances, law-abiding, African-American senior citizens of both genders with hardware were given a pass. Contact with most of them was because of a traffic stop and most of them, being honest and forthright, were immediately upfront about being armed. Oddly enough, one elderly gentleman in a three-piece suit, overcoat and fedora in a nice auto said he was returning to the south side from the west side. He also said an elderly man needs a gun on both "sides" to stay alive. He was correct.

That's because those officers actually believed their indoctrination / brainwashing that the Dept shoved down their throats. GUNS are bad. GUNS are the problem.
They also thought that they were doing good police work because they checked off with a 1 in the Gun Box. And the Sgt probably patted them on the back.
The Tact Lt was happy because he got to tell the Commander that "We got another evil gun off the street!". The commander looked good at CompStat.... Even when someone with some common sense pointed out to them that the Old Man is using that gun for the same reason WE ARE (ie, self protection), some retard chirped back "It could be taken from him in a Burglary and used against us."

Police are frustrated. The prosecutors office is on vacation, and judges are overly concerned about "criminals rights". The citizens aren't totally stupid. They can see if they're the victim of a criminal attack, they've got to take care of business themselves.
