Welcome Home Eddie!

  • Former Chicago police Sgt. Eddie Hicks was arrested in Detroit Tuesday morning, nearly 15 years after he fled on the eve of trial on federal drug conspiracy charges.

Hicks, 68, has been the subject of an international manhunt since 2003, according to the FBI. He appeared in federal court in Detroit on Tuesday and was ordered held until he can be brought to Chicago to face the charges.

A 29-year veteran of the police force, Hicks was charged in Chicago in 2001 with running a crew of rogue officers who robbed drug dealers, pocketed the illicit cash and sold the stolen drugs to other pushers. Hicks fled the country on the eve of his trial in 2003. At the time, authorities said he was presumed to have traveled to Brazil.
Better start naming names there Eddie. Who you were kicking up to, who was covering for you and who got word to you to leave town. Either way, you're probably going to prison for the rest of your life.

Mr "S"---CC, You are a star in this business, why you never went big is really confusing. You could of been making 20 Mil a year with your journalism..... Sorry for the stroking on "S".

Eddie could make many a retired high ass boss of color shit their pants. To all you Noble crooks of old. No statue of limitations under the federal title of official misconduct.

I would say slick Eddie always had a plan if this shit happened and he got pinched. All the cash he stole is gone doing the high life in the Islands and bribing the warlords. No money left now Eddie. Watch and see if someone has already contacted these Noble people and telling him of his plan to start singing with evidence. They will have to come up and get him the best mouth piece Lawyer, this side of the Mississippi. It will not be the likes of Sam Adams that did a great job with Blago.

Anyone with over 25 years OTJ or retired and name at least 5 retired Noble guys that got a dip in the Briskets (sic) & Gravy like old "Lou and Army used to be serving years ago."

They are fair game now. Some went to be ass cities as the Chief and made 200 K beside their 160K CPD pension. Some went to smaller places to live like kings. The dope business is a dirty business and these Noble guys thought Eddie had bought the farm already , then PooF. "He' back."

One of the Noble guys could of been the supt who fucked up the CPD and started the down trend.

Special Eddie is now certain to retire and maybe take refuge on an Island. He was around this evil cabal.

We can all hope the good Attorney General and the U.S attorney of the Northern district of Illinois, treats Eddie nice and get all the dirt they thought was all gone. Eddie goes to a nice country club till he hit the dirt nap and the pension funds] gets to stop paying these Noble guys their big pension when they bet convicted.

A lot of dirty-assed Un-NOBLE exempts tossed
and turned last night after being visited by the
ghost of hit licks past in the person of Eddie Hicks.

Heh...

"It's OUR turn to run thangs, be boss an' make money"

It's stinkin' thinkin' like this that allows a "Eddie Hicks"
to thrive and prosper.

Shit doesn't happen in a vacuum...

How many so called bosses got their
dicks wet in what Hicks was doing?

If not directly, then in similar such style?

You just know the pink guys in the 11th
ward let a little bit of the graft trickle down to
NOBLE, LAPA and other similar such organizations
to keep the dueling constituencies quiet about their
piece of the pie.

Too bad...

Chicago government and CPD cried out and
stunk shamefully for a gimlet eyed/hateful
hearted Federal Prosecutor to come in and
snatch the stained linens off many a political
bed and expose who is coupled with whom
but just like Operations Greylord and others,
such an operation would be pulled short
because the entire political/corporate/media
and yes even the progressive and race politics
cabal would've been dragged under and
Chicago would've been ruined as a useful
place for them.

It's like a farmer leaving a few weeds in place
just because, instead of rightfully doing himself
a solid and burning the field to ensure only the
good things can take root and grow.

The only way that Hicks can get convicted (if they didn't have a trial in absentia) Hargrove has to testify against him. Currently Hargrove is doing a long stretch and I'm sure that a deal have to be cut to shave down his time in exchange for his testimony.

Meanwhile Moran and Knitter made deals for a shorter sentence if they testified (which they did against Hargrove and I'm sure they were suppose to testify against Hicks) but since they served their sentences already I don't think they could be forced to testify against Hicks because they were co-defendants and what's in it for them?

We shall see if the Feds still could make a case against him.

Where did he work?

9/20/2017 01:44:00 AM

He was in 7 in the mid and late 70's and I think his last assignment was Narcotics and as a Sgt. Before he was injured in an auto accident, he was a power lifter and was unusually strong for his size. He was retired when he and his group were robbing drug dealers. The reason for his pension continuing, he was charged with crime after being on pension. The pension laws protect you from losing your pension. The wording of the law I don't know, but it's on the books. Word on the street at the time he fled was he was in Costa Rica, whatever, lets just say South America somewhere. Also, for a long time in the rumor mill, people were saying he was coming in for short periods of time and then leaving. For that to happen, it would make sense he had a phony passport and a pipe line he could easily use to travel back and forth. If the President of the United States of America, can be wire tapped by an idiot like obama, then poor old Eddie was monitored and they figured out what he was up to and waited for him in Detroit. For him to elude the Fed's for 15yrs is not to shabby, he was a little more cunning then the average cooper. He was friendly and approachable on the outside, however, when someone tried to get closer and you were not of the inner group, you were kept at arms length. This is just me, but I would love to know how they finally got the info on where he was and make the arrest. I know there's people on this Blog that know a lot about Hicks, and their probably from the Narcotics Section that Hick was a supervisor during that time period. They can't say shit for fear of incriminating themselves. Hey, narco boys, if your out their we would like to hear from you, but just a warning, this blog is monitored by the fed's I'm sure, and you know the drill, anything you say can be used against you.

It would be much easier to have Eddie Hicks flip or has one or more of the M/1 bosses started taking already and gave Eddie up. Intriguing, but something is coming down. Lets see, Eddie's 68, how many more good summers are left. Hey, if I were he, I'd be cutting some sort of deal. I'd be singing my ass off. Narcotics is a dirty business and you can't trust anyone in that realm. Time will tell, but here's hoping the cheaters of old and new are tossing and turning for a long time.

Just focusing on that aspect of "bad gold badge behavior" would demonstrate the evil nature of this group without adding the usual racial banter which our local media is famous for.

The Popular Myth was that Sgt. Hicks was living the Good Life on some tropical island where there was no extradition. If he was hiding in some rat hole in Detroit, the Feds are doing him a favor to ship his butt back to "Shitcaga". Since the charges are Federal he will not get a pass from Dart. And many of the fish that did not get caught in the net, are long gone, as are the Projects ("Jets") where this all played out. So Hicks is what I warn everyone about: Watch the Circus, but do not participate as a Clown. Hicks played the clown, and now he will even get a funny costume to wear, possibly for the rest of his life. Baby "G"

yes, and his house that was put up for bond should have been confiscated by the feds but Eddie came out of the shadows long enough to attend a bank meeting and sign his home over to his son, a police officer. So, his wife and his son and possibly a lawyer or two concealed a federal fugitive?

Eddie Hicks received his assignment in Area 4 based on the recommendation of Chief of Detectives Terry Hillard.
Larry Hargroves was Hillard's partner at the Terrorist Task Force in the late 80's.

William Patterson's clout was Rudy Nimocks. Patterson is due for release from Federal prison in 2023. He currently is doing his time at the Federal institution in Kentucky for those who need treatment for mental issues.

12 years past the Pension Board stopped forwarding Hick's pension payouts until he came in and proved he was alive. The money has been accruing since then and now that he in custody they will be forwarding the funds to his account. 12 years is probably in excess of $700,000.
His lawyers will be paid and they might leave something for his commissary account.

Why didn't he make a video of himself with a dated news paper? Then have someone in Costa Rica's government sign an affidavit that he is in fact alive. I would have also asked what their standard(s) are to establish he was alive. He could have said, I'm no longer a citizen of the United States, I'm to ill to appear in person, or have someone from the pension board meet him somewhere. Many ways to skin a cat. Great pension, I hope the new guy's have one.

His kid probably could not get a merit promotion until he was "found." He's 68 so he says fuck it and now is found.
