Wreck in 014

  • A Chicago Police officer was among four people injured late Sunday in a rollover crash that may have been alcohol-related in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

About 11:10 p.m., a squad car responding to a call for service with emergency equipment activated was traveling east in the 2500 block of West Fullerton when it was rear-ended by an eastbound 2002 Dodge Caravan, according to Chicago Police.

The Caravan then crashed head-on into a westbound 2002 Ford Focus, police said.
You've got to be pretty intoxicated to run into the back end of a squad car that is responding to a different call. Best wishes to the Officer on a speedy recovery.

I heard this on the radio and the officer could not have been more calm and professional. His first and only concern was for the individuals in the other vehicles. Well done, Officer.

This is the reason you drive like a bat out of hell with lights and siren screaming.

If you don't, the drunken idiots will rear end your squad!

Best Wishes for a speedy recovery to the officer.

Has Special Ed stripped him for getting in the way of the poor, innocent citizen in the Caravan?

D.U.I . In Chicago!
Nothing will happen to him in court!
In fact, it will be the police fault for being in the way!

Take your time coming back to work no hurry may God bless you!

On another subject looks like rahm can't keep people around they are fleeing his side at a rapid rate wonder if a federal investigation into his antics of disobeying federal immigration laws costing the city millions in revenue has something to do with it?

Booze fueled road rage.....intentional.
Saw cherries and blue berries and had a fit of rage standing on the gas pedal.
or
Out cold while at the wheel.

I am thinking the road rage fueled by liquid courage fits best.

The officer is an all around exceptional officer...very professional & knowledgable. Im not surprised his radio transmission was clam & directed - good job Mike! Get some well deserved rest and enjoy your family through the holidays (its all tax free). Be well my friend.

How could the officers be injured? A car is not a weapon couldn't possibly hurt anyone. I know this because theses hats say so.

Media hacks. Why won't they say who was suspected of consuming alcohol. I know it wasn't the officer responding in an emergency capacity. But they are so vague and today's climate they want people to make that assumption. If SCC didn't post links to news articles I would never read them.
