Gun for Crime; Gun Stops Crime
- A female victim wrestled with a man for a weapon and shot him when he tried to rob her Saturday morning on the South Side in the Gresham neighborhood, Chicago police said.
About 6:15 a.m., a 23-year-old man approached a victim in the 8000 block of South Ashland Avenue, pulled out a gun and attempted to rob her. The female victim, whose age was not available, refused to hand over her items and a struggle ensued, police said.
The victim was able to wrestle the gun away and shot the man in his hand. The man fled the scene but was caught a short time later by police.
We suppose that's one way to stop crime, but having her own gun would be easier. This guy is going to have a difficult time in prison (assuming Foxxx charges him.)

Wow, not every body does this! 99.9 % (including myself) would just let the robber take whatever he wants. I have never been in a situation like this, but imagine it takes a lot to fight back when there is a gun right in your face!

Foxx would press charges on the female victim for shooting at a man who was fleeing an unsuccessful act... cause in her books he did not successfully commit a crime and if he did he was made to do so by society norms... all bullshit

I heard the superintendent found out the victim was taking the "phyic" test today at HQ and went over there to strip her because while the "gun" was in her possesion it was "not registered"....SAD, WHEEEEZZZZEEEE drove him there in her "unmarked" squad car then went grocery shopping while working..

Here's a female that's not even the police and disarms a stick-up man while he's got the gun pointed at her. Didn't that off duty copper on the north side walking with his wife give up his gun and just about everything else in a robbery. Then some guy on this blog kept defending him, saying, "you never pull your gun when an offender is pointing a gun at you." This lady was NEVER going to give up, and that's what I'm talking about.
