Leaky 003

We've seen some leaky buildings before, but 003 takes the cake with this one:

That's like six or seven buckets, a mop and collapsing ceiling tiles. We're sure that isn't too moldy in the summertime either.

Betcha that isn't piss and shit water that is leaking in 003 like it does in 001 from the mens locker room down into the central lockup processing area on a pretty regular basis.

Where’s the Vanecko do it yourself roof repair kit?

Those ceiling tiles are less than 6 months old. All of the ceiling tiles were replaced but the mold and dozens of leaks in the roof and overhead pipes were never fixed. Not to mention ALL of the wiring for the computers, etc is between the ceiling tiles and roof.

The 003rd District is a depressing dump for more than one reason.

It's a sign of my non-existent levels of trust in government, that the first thing I thought of when I saw this was, "I wonder who's cousin-in-law will win the bid on the roof patch-job.

So many police officers have gotten sick have cancer due to these decrepit facilities! The mayor and the rest to be elected do not care about the police officers or the civilians at work at eight buildings many that should be condemned all right.

Toxic. Don't forget to put in a written request for a building engineer, you'll see him in a month or two. In the meantime, keep emptying the buckets.

That is the lock up door at the end of the hall. Looks kind of dangerous to be escorting a pissed off prisoner thru that.

Another example of how the city treats the cops like shit. They make us feel like shit. It's no wonder we have so little motivation. It's hard to stay motivated when they make us work in these conditions. Throw in the homeless, smelly, bug infested people sleeping in our stations and it makes me do little more than look forward to retirement.

Think about all the coppers that have down with preventable life changing/dying diseases caused directly by the rahm crew and the laughable exempt idiots from these should be condemned buildings that are structurally unsafe and a hazmat situation to go in and work in! So many "inside" coppers that work the desk,lock-up have come down with so much illness citywide due to decrepit buildings, even the newer buildings are built like shit! The payoffs via Manila envelopes stuffed into the back pockets of elected democrats causes this!

To bad all talk President Trump and Jeff Sessions will not send in teams to dismantle the criminal crooked elected! Look at rahm on colberts program saying Chicago is a "no Trump zone" and boldly stands up and violates federal laws letting illegal immigrants here then giving them millions of "our money!" Why do we even bother to arrest anyone who violates laws when the example is set by our mayor, our senators congressman and the rest that laws are not to be obeyed here in illinois-crook county-chicago!

Even more gregarious is that rahm violently, publicly bastardized the CPD retirees ripping health care away and then giving the money to the illegal criminals! Heck in march his girl anna at the city clerks office is giving out free ID cards to all illegals which come with discounts and free admission to attractions! Bet the seniors and "citizens" would like those freebies mayor! Personally i have my own bodycam and will be getting this card, going deep state you can even designate your sex no matter what you were born with, time to be secret squirrel and they post all over youtube! Deep state more not law!

Send that shit to the inspector general!!!

Its either a contractor skimming or
it those GHOST engineers that stay in a locked basement but their personal car can't be found in the parking lot.

But that would be a white shirts job.
Commander only care about the nice parking spot in front.

You would think with all the money this mayor has made by raising taxes and screwing over retirees and widows, the city could afford to fix a leak.

Hey, 025 has been leaking for years. Why when their ejector pump went out a few years back. They had a guy in there manually pulling a cord every hour to make the pump work. City plumbers are "not" 24 hour guys.

Nothing in 003 works what about the lack of computers. What about the F/1 on days who comes cussing in at the midnight crew threatening them to go to the commander because wait for it... Officers are using "her" computer to type up police reports. What a joke B go F yourself. But I bet you're too lazy for that too!

Still using the same No Bid general contractor who’s using a variety of community subcontractors, who’s using community day laborers.
You think they would have learned a lesson after off kilter HQ and 001 were built.

City building engineer calls the plumber.
Plumber calls the roofer.
Roofer calls the HVAC.
HVAC calls the electrician.
Electrician calls the building engineer.
Engineer calls the House Captain.
Janitors places buckets.

Where’s the Flex Seal?
Fourth party supplier sold the city a roll for $800, expect delivery after the spring thaw and patched by a roofing subcontractor sometime in July. But likely it’s not a roof leak in the first place so no 3 second rule applies to dropped foods.
Question will arise...who puts on the Flex Seal?
Call the engineer.

In the meantime, bucket line and bail.
Wasn’t there someone in 011 that rigged a series of overhead troughs to channel the water away from the desk and into a drain?

By the way, I suggest you start questioning the Indoor Air Quality at the Firing Ranges (Academy, Area 1, Grand/Central, etc.). Ask for ventilation system maintenance records, filter change frequency, continuous air monitoring systems, etc. Think about it...if you haven't already.

They won't do shit until you fill out paperwork that requires 3 signatures. Then it sits on the facilities management desk for months. You make numerous inquiries and told there is no request on file. Repeat step one.

It's an old building SCC, one of the oldest district stations in the City now, if not the oldest. A building that old is bound to have some issues over time. Too bad it happened during this cold snap, that's going to be real difficult to fix anytime within the next week or so.
