Trend Line

A graph showing homicides over the past few years (click for larger pic):

And another showing shootings (click for larger pic):

If you draw a line between the first and last numbers, you see an upward trend. 2016 was the aberration year (and we've said as much dozens of times.) The trend is unmistakably upward and that should be worrying to anyone who actually pays attention.

(Thanks to HeyJackass.com for the numbers - the graphs were created a day or so before the end of the year, but the trend is right there.)

Amazon usually creates visual aids like Chart #2.
But it's for good stuff, like the revenue increase
for AWS cloud, quarter by quarter.
BTW, do you know ShotSpotter uses AWS?
Sounds like we're on the wrong financial side of
this business.

Liberal politicians will look at the graphs and just be so proud! Look at all the voters we've kept out of jail!
They have no honour. They should be in jail.

Hey why not SCC?

If local media and Rahm al-Ghoul's propeller-head
agit-prop cadre can make the numbers on statistical
graphs juke, gyrate, fart and wildly oscillate for
their own purpose then why shouldn't the blog be a
source for similar such from the Police perspective?

Better aim and the city wins. The more bangers dead the better. They all belong in a pine box preferably sooner than later. They will never be more than an anchor on society so why have them wasting space and taking good air.

We need more CCL's in city. Rahm wants fewer CCL's so his voting block has free rein. Who's right?

It's not guns its itchy trigger fingers. Why not mandatory double trigger finger amputation when convicted of violent gun crime. Very hard to shot without that all important trigger finger. Trust me I have tried.

Graphs are racist.
Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Crime is down because arrests are down and jails are empty.
Take the word of Jugghead Special Ed...that’s the truth Straight outta 35th.

@Anonymous at 0151:

AWS is the only thing that Amazon has that makes money. Netflix is one of their biggest clients. Go figure.

I’m baffled as to why the sharp spike over the past couple years. The media should launch another investigation utilizing input from criminal justice professors who will say, ‘law enforcement and conservatives like to blame it on decreased police proactivity but the more likely reason is this is simply ebb and flow. That is to say, crime goes up and down and has less to do with a fucked up jole of a legal system and cops that have been grinder to a pulp.’ The mystery continues....

AWS has 40% of the cloud market. Nobody even close.
Netflix is worldwide; new series "Dark" from Germany
starts 12-1-17; English translations.
