8) Hiring Caitlyn Jenner to pop out of his son's birthday cake.
7) Accepting S & H Green Stamps as a form of payment for City licenses, permits and fees.
6) Rechristening 121 N. LaSalle as the Fortress of Attitude.
5) Funding the CPS budget shortage by steering all Facebook customers to the Amway brand for drugs and firearms sales.
4) Developing some people skills.
3) Welding a Zombieland style cow-catcher to the bumper of his Chevy Suburban.
2) Competing in the Harvey Weinstein Invitational Oil Wrestling Tournament.
And Rahm's number one goal in 2018 is . . .
1) A guest appearance on Game of Thrones as Tyrion Lannister's evil twin.

The department is short 106 FTO’s and despite that they only made a class of 29 po’s to start FTO training jan8th. How many people took the FTO test? Why did they only make a class of 29 WTF are they doing? FOP are you still awake because under your leadership you are acting just like Dean sr very silent Can someone put up the FTO list on the blog?

How are contract negotiations going? Have they met yet? Been 6 months. Or is it the secret meetings and we don’t want to negotiate in the newspapers like CPS does.

In 2018 every Department member required to provide a statement to COPA or IAD, whether written or oral should make that statement very concise. Every statement should simply say; "I stand by the contents reflected in all video and audio recording memorialized from all sources during the incident in question. After I have had the opportunity to personally review all audio and video evidence with adequate representation I may then attempt to clarify any question regarding that evidence." End of statement. You are not refusing to make a statement, your statement is simply that you stand by the contents of the recorded evidence, and if there are additional questions you will attempt to clarify or express you position regarding any recorded evidence after you are provided with all recordings relative to the incident and have had adequate time to review it. The human mind is frail and in addition to any individual or personal condition, it is subject to external conditions such as shock, fear or concern (of the incident and/or the aftermath), PTSD and incident related amnesia. It all can effect your memory and cognition. All of the Unions need to get on this and set a unilateral standard NOW. Here are just a few links to review regarding the subject.

Stumbling down memory lane, I called my old partner to wish him Happy New Year. We reminisced about working in 025 New Years Eve 30 years ago when the Cook County Commissioners had their New Year's eve party at Ferrara Manor at North and Central. The entertainment that night was James Brown and the Flames. Before leaving 025, the watch commander told us to check in with Commissioner Love at the party site. So we go over there, and Commissioner Love is in one of the sections off the main stage to the left. We go through the entrance and run into Mrs. James Brown, a lavender skinned bitch who had undergone some kind of skin treatment to lighten her now purplish complexion. As we're making our way to let the pols know we're in the area, Mrs. Brown jumps in our face and screams that we're interrupting as they are getting ready to put on a show.
We explain to her that in around 90 minutes the place will go up for grabs and the only thing between her and a drunken mob will be my partner and myself. We blow past her and make contact with the pols and head out. We come back an hour or so later and the Godfather of soul is up there with his band, the Flames and they're twirling their trumpets and the place is jumping.
The only bad part of the evening was Mrs. Brown who was a total bitch. Fast forward 3 months later and in the Newsmakers column in Newsweek magazine is an item about James Brown being arrested for domestic violence after striking his wife over the head with a tire iron. I clipped the item and brought it with me to work to show my partner. We both had a good laugh over it and thought how sometimes karma truly is a bitch. Yep, those were the days. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU.
You start with a police superintendent who never applied for the job and with the help of a mayor and alderman circumvented the process. Looks like the mayor wanted a black face running the department that could be controlled. Then, you add patronage appointees to run the department, some qualified and many not qualified. You take crime ridden districts, strip the good areas of police officers and assign them to the crime areas which results in one police car for a few blocks, put cameras everywhere, electronics to detect gun shots, soft ware centers to predict crime and you still get over 600 murders and 4000 shot. Next, the mayor and police superintendent are pleased at the progress. What is wrong with this picture? Something is wrong with " the community", and no on wants to talk about it.
