Yet Another Lie
Remember that time the Department told everyone that you had to serve a year in Patrol before you ended up back in a Unit or downtown?
Here's a page of a promotional list from this past February with a promotion date of 16 March:
Here's a page of a promotional list from this past February with a promotion date of 16 March:
And here's an Admin Fax from two days ago:
Can you spot it? Amazing how the chosen ones always land softly and in complete violation of the "pinky swearsies" that the brass keeps telling the troops. We're supposed to respect these turds as "leaders" when they can't keep the simplest of promises.

Don’t forget that Special Ed said merit sgts had to do 2 years in patrol before going back to a unit. Most of the sgts from that class that are in units already happen to be merit. But hey when you’re a commanders girlfriend and a noble member you can go right back to your old unit. Or if you’re a bosses daughter who was also merit detective before getting made merit sgt you have the right to go to fort fellatio. Shit like this along with the blm-led copa should be an eye opener to all those who think everything is now or will be legit (it never will).
So when’s the next promotions ? lt -Sgt - detective ?? Captains ? Rumor is they are trying to use numbers to negotiate the captains and Lt contracts . You give us this and we will add more captains ? Anyone have the scoop ?
Hey she earned that merit spot! Not once did she crash that car that she drove Dana around in. If that's not deserving of a meritorious promotion then a spot back at headquarters in under the required year than I don't know what is!
Area South has two new merit sergeants that made it 3/17. Already back in the area while guys that made it off the list such beat cars.
Don't forget to put them where they can make policy and/or manpower changes with all their wealth of ka-nowledge.
On latest sgt order for new class somebody went right back to the same district they came from, was that a no-no?
Karla Johnson was a 4th District inside girl for Lamont Thompson and then when Dana Alexander became the commander of 4 she stuck around and latched onto his star.
Even funnier when you read the transfer order and see 2 more Sgts from the list making a move already.
She’s not the only one that I can see, Berkowitz is back in unit 124 too
Shocked? Shocked.
The whole process is shameful, totally embarrassed to be part of this Dept. If I wasn't a fucking old man with too many years invested and the need for health insurance I'd leave. When I do, I plan on erasing this chapter of my life from my memory. I will never mention what I did for a living and especially the Dept I worked for.
We need the feds to come in and run this department .
That year in patrol is for the suckers, not friends of Dana Alexander's wife, or Eric Carter's Wife, the Supt's wife, or any of the Dillon kids. We get to fight over whatever scraps they don't want.
Also jan ashley is in narcotics office spot months ago. I'm sure there are many others
I was in that Sergeant class. The Superintendent personally told us all, one year in patrol minimum, two years in patrol for merit promotions.
The suck holes will always get what they want and the officer that pushes the beat car around always get fucked. its always been that way and always will be.......
Eddie has his fingers crossed behind his back when he made those promises.
A,L was assigned to 025 after his undeserved merit promotion. He worked on 3rd watch for three months before given a Tac team by Escamerit. A slap in the face to the Sgts who have been there for years. Look for new merit idiot Ivan to get the same treatment
What’s worse is Eddie Johnson stood in front of that class and said, “everyone will do at least 1 year in patrol. If you’re merit, you’ll do 2. I think that’s a fair trade.” What a liar. Jan Ashley has been gone to an inside spot.
I was at one of those meetings. Nobody asked Ed anything about promotions. He brought it up out of the blue. Told us right to our faces, "no merits from units, and the commander's secretaries won't get merit spots either. They're already all being taken care of"
What a slap in the face. He brought this up to try and rally patrol, tried to look and sound like "one of us", tried to bond with the "working man".......but he lied right to our faces. He probably went back to HQ and laughed with all the anointed ones about the bullshit he was feeding the peasants in patrol.
Just call it what it is, don't try to give us the bullshit version. We know the deal. Don't sit and lie to my face.
If you’re new and plan to spend any serious amount of time on this job, you need to find a spot.
You need to develop a clout if you don’t have one.
You need to get the fuck off of the street. This is 2017 and you’re the hunted.
Days, weekends off is for winners, dates at the Corp Counsel is for losers.
This is chalk-talk 101 stuff with the kids.
This police dept sucks and can't wait to leave!
To you P.P.O.'s, leave for another job as soon as possible and don't stay here in Chicago or Cook County or Illinois!
If I could do it all over again, I would be gone A.S.A.P.
Advice from KMA 20+
Are you referring to oomen “I make the best Mac and cheese” sleeba who’s back in 114. This guy made the best Mac and cheese, just ask Ralph price. So good he deserved a merit promotion
OK....Who's Karlas Juice?????....
CALL that snitch line.
Just add the clouted names. at least it will be in someones email that somebody noticed.
I prefer clouted they usually look at the ground when walking around HQ. I also love when clouted wear all those shiny bobbles on the dress uniform. The fitness award is so awesome!
Sleeba back to legal affairs.
G. P. is a joke. She was never the police and now sits behind a desk in 010 and approves arrest reports. Makes me wanna vomit. Her goofy husband just made it also. God help this department.
I've said this before and I'll say it again. Since Gary McCarthy got canned we have gone back to the CPD I started with in the 90's. The bosses do whatever they want when they want and "Fuck You" if you dare question it. What you see on the transfer order is the tip of the iceberg. There are other Sgts who were merit from a unit that went back to that same unit 6 months later. They just are not on a official transfer order. Look at 189, the majority of the Sgts are merit. A few of them did 6 periods in patrol and went right back. Look at the Academy or Gang Enforcement. They have merit Sgts who did 3 periods in patrol and went to these units. The job was a bad joke when I started 23 years ago and it still is. The only positive is that I made Sgt by test score 4 years ago and they can't take it away from me. That is until COPA looks back at some nonsense just to rob me of my pension.
EEEEEEJJJJJJJJJJ........YOU LIED!!!!!!!! You said we all have to go to patrol......when you spoke to us at the academy....Where did WHEEEEEZZZZEEEE's ignorant girlfriend end up going?
Can you please post this transfer order and the order where the new Sergeants were assigned.
its really simple, rank has its privileges. There end of story always has been always will be. STFU.
JA works directly under Riccio, in his office. Didn't last 6 mos in the district. He's the one that asked the 014th dist cmdr to put her in for merit. The 014th dist cmdr couldn't say no to a chief, could have owed him a favor, or will be granted a favor in the future. That's how clout and extreme nepotism works in this "transparent" department.
Of course Johnson lied about it, it happens in his own office.
Sgt from 019, suckhole merit stooge made by the general counsel, back in her office after his grueling 9 months stint as desk sergeant. His coffee buddy and newly minted Lt also from from the general counsels office also sitting right back in the Sup's office after a brief stint on the mean streets of the first district. Its all legit for you peons though! Do as I say not as I do!
If you look close these chosen ones get detailed so their unit of assignment is still a patrol unit. So technically they will do a year assigned to patrol, albeit while they are detailed. Then after this year or two is fulfilled assigned to patrol they can be moved permanently. Loopholes folks loopholes
Two years in patrol minimum for merit?!? That is the funniest shit I have ever heard!! Just ask Jan how she's doing in uncle Riccio's office. The best part is the stupid chumps on the watch without clout that have to do everything by the book and have all the risks associated with being a PO in today's world. Then there's the chosen few like stated special niece who not only reaps all the rewards of TWO MERIT SPOTS, but also an inside spot. This shit is so funny and will never change in this fake ass dept and city. Now go out there and get those positive community interactions for the commander because you NEED a management spot on days. Then think of the chosen ones and how hard they are laughing at you.
Remember, we are a very transparent department.
Check wherevall those cheating Lt's are! Scum bags!
Nepotism, favoritism and politics will always be around unless there is a cleansing from the top down. The thing that gets my goat is that these jag offs will brag about it to your face and there’s nothing you can do about it. Then you have these commanders putting their gang or TAC buddies in for merit instead of working coppers. Unfortunately, some of us have to wait for the new contract to ensure a good medical insurance plan. The inspectors and bosses who are su
No way the city would say one thing and do another. It has to be a different Karla E Johnson from human resources.
I was in that class as well. Eddie told us straight to our faces about the one year rule for rank promotees and 2 for merit. Even though this comes as no surprise, Eddie, fuck you, you pandering, lying, backstabbing weasel. You sold your soul for that pension bump and are nothing like you were in the past. This job is a joke for a litany of reasons, many much more important than this. But this is a definite way to piss off a bunch of your front line supervisors. Not a smart move, but coming from you, it is hardly a surprise. The juiced go on frolicking their way through a high paying job when most have never done an ounce of police work in their life. I wish I had taken a video of that speech about the 1 and 2 year rules. I'd send a copy to the coveted Calea representatives along with a copy of all the merit hacks already inside hiding from the real world. Eddie can't and won't be bothered with this though. He is most likely personally and hurriedly writing termination papers for the unlucky officer that has the stench of COPA all over him.
Even General Council members can submit their suck holes. What next, Crook County judges submitting meritorious candidates? This job has gone to shit.
I was in that Sergeant class. The Superintendent personally told us all, one year in patrol minimum, two years in patrol for merit promotions.
12/31/2017 02:21:00 AM
Well technically they are all still in patrol. If you look them up they're still assigned to a district and are only detailed to their cush spot. As it's been for many years with units and district man power, it's all a shell game. Oh and if you believe anything out of that lying mush brains mouth then just do yourself a favor and retire immediately!
Surprised that 14 out of 31 were from districts. That doesn't mean they were not part of the chosen few though because [wait, I just went back to the list and saw that 8 of those 14 were assigned out of their districts] it's not shown how many years on the job.
I remember one of the nominaters slamming themselves into the "Wall" at least a dozen times before making it over. That person then, in the academy, would have been voted most likely to not succeed, let alone to still be on in any capacity.
I was in that Sergeant class. The Superintendent personally told us all, one year in patrol minimum, two years in patrol for merit promotions.
If this is true, then Eddie is a bigger stroke than imaginable. Between the cheating scandal, the BS OT policy, the absurd LAPD tie clip waste of the taxpayers money, his special squad car, this guy has to be called out.
I don’t want to hear the usual “he was a good guy in 006” BS. He’s a dumb, corrupt, lying MFer now. That’s all that counts. Sure, Rahm loves him - he puts on that “down home” BS rap to even the white communities and they get mesmerized.
Well, Ed, my man, you may not give a shit about the troops, but you’re about to live with the results.
We’d be better off with Weis.

I was in the same class and heard the exact words from the Supt., so did about a hundred others. Can anyone believe anything that anyone says? Obviously not. By the way, most of the merits from that class are as follows: free promotion, cush and choice district to start at and now the trickling of the anointed ones back to even cushier spots. All the while looking in the mirror and telling themselves "I earned this, I deserve this." You have to laugh at them because they stand alone in their beliefs.
As of today, The Feb 2017 Sgt class has 20 Sgts detailed out of their original assignments. Look it up on the Clear data warehouse.
Aren't these being done under the "special exceptions" rule? What "special exceptions", you may ask? Just wait a minute, it'll be coming out shortly.
J.J.
Sgt. Michelle Cook (Bradley) is already back in IAD. It's all legit people.
I AM SHOCKED. Never in my wildest imagination could I have expected this to happen
I saw Lietenant Hall-Wysinger made it out of Patrol pretty quickly. She's already in mass transit. What about the Lts that have been Lieutenants for years and can't get out of district law
I wish my name was on that list. I could hide for two years.
How about everybody comes forward about the gifts they give to the people that made them... Want me to elaborate?
I was in that Sergeant class. The Superintendent personally told us all, one year in patrol minimum, two years in patrol for merit promotions.
^I'm sure he did and I'm sure ya'll ate it. :)
No worries, it's all legit.
Also jan ashley is in narcotics office spot months ago. I'm sure there are many others.
She is assigned to the Bureau of Organized Crime which is a hiding place for do Nothing / Know Nothing merit jagoffs like her. She doesn't do street stuff and she isn't assigned to Narcotics, Vice, Gang Intel or Intelligence.
She answers a phone and gets to put her UOA under her name so she feels super important. Only problem is she has zero credibility as a cop and worse is she stole a spot from some more deserving officer.
This is just a clean up order!!! It doesn't account for the merits recently detailed.
G. P. is a joke. She was never the police and now sits behind a desk in 010 and approves arrest reports. Makes me wanna vomit. Her goofy husband just made it also. God help this department.
12/31/2017 07:55:00 AM
GP NEVER made an arrest on her own and now she is in charge of approving arrest reports!?@(#>÷*-?@
LOL.....WTF....only in this department does someone who jas never done the job get promoted to oversee others that do the job. she's an idiot.
Johnson wouldn’t lie to the troops. Maybe he wasn’t aware of it. Like he told the retired po’s widow when asked about the city stopping subsidizing the retiree healthcare. Who would know, never been in the paper, took place over 3 years and never had a lawsuit filed.
Special Ed was the Footman in 006 and was assigned to shaking down the local businesses.Nothing more and most times much less.Far from a "GOOD GUY".Ask those who have been around they will be happy to enlighten all.
Good God!What will 019 do without Sgt Sleeba? There is a quality guy.The hits just keep on a comin.
I was in that Sergeant class. The Superintendent personally told us all, one year in patrol minimum, two years in patrol for merit promotions.
We’d be better off with Weis.
The hell you would. Don't forget, Weis promoted his driver to sergeant; they were working together the night of Weis's infamous "gotta run" debacle in Englewood quite a few years back. "Would you like to be a leader of men?" How in the hell would Weis ever know what leadership is (or was)? BWAHAHAHAHA
Anyone who has ever believed those "one to two years in patrol before you can get moved" words really is a special kinda stupid.
Just saying.

And in that short time he tried to flex his Sgt muscles on some veteran officers on the 3rd watch and then didn’t know what to do when he was called out by those officers for his transgression. Don’t get me started on this idiot IR. Same guy who didn’t like it that his shitbird buddy got locked up for agg batt to two PO’s in 025 stemming from a domestic. Got into it with the arresting officers in 025. On top of that we just lost 2 good bosses, Sgt JS & Lt PC all because of Escamerit. 025 used to be a great place to work. Escamerit has single handedly destroyed it. Now we got another merit idiot biting at that LAPA apple.......God help us here in 025.
It is just pandering to the new sergeants for the department to make any statements about how long people will spend in patrol. I won’t discuss the merit of “chosen ones” or not, I don’t know the background or skills of the persons and the requirements of the spot they go to. While street patrol is the backbone of the department, it is not the only part. And if you have skills that are hard (expensive training/education, extensive domain knowledge), that serve those parts well, keeping you from utilizing those skills for the benefit of the department is shortsighted. The department doesn’t have “in-place” promotions, so these are the games they have to play to get the people they want in the positions they want, for whatever reason (nepotism or skills or anything else). It would be different if the department said: we want 60 new patrol supervisors so we will promote 60 people from patrol to be those supervisors, we need 1 new OLA sergeant so we will promote this particular P.O. from OLA to that position, we need 5 new narcotics supervisors which will be a mix of transfers and internal promotion. But it’s not, they treat people like they are swappable commodiities and the fact is that they aren’t. Imagine if a private firm took their best accountant, well respected in the accounting department, and made them the supervisor of the HR department, and literally told them to just forget that accounting nonsense, time to learn everything about HR, too bad the HR department will have to suffer while you stumble about, and oh yeah we took a supervisor from the legal department and put her over the accounting department.
While there are reasons that the department does things the way it does, and why promotions work how they do, it is irrational to expect that a department this size with this many divisions and needs to not move people around as needed. You can debate the merits of the person being transferred to the needs of the spot, which should be encouraged, as it is highly entertaining. But to be angry at some unofficial (EJ told me so!) and arbitrary (a year seems fair, no make it two!) limit not being followed is a little naive. It’s the promotion process that doesn’t fit the department needs, the transfers are just how it tries to make it work within that structure.
What a shame that so many merits from that Mar Sgt class have slithered their way back to hidden spots. So many went right back where they came from before a transfer order had them on it! Where is this transperancy we hear so much about? What’s even more pathetic is most went to nice districts. Taking a spot for a short time and the unclouted go to the shitty districts. Just curious where were the NOJO for the spots they went to? Did anyone see them posted ? At least Gmac sent merits to the ghetto!
To: A,L was assigned to 025 after his undeserved merit promotion. He worked on 3rd watch for three months before given a Tac team by Escamerit. A slap in the face to the Sgts who have been there for years. Look for new merit idiot Ivan to get the same treatment
AL is a good copper, but don't worry about those Sgts that have time in 025 and in grade.... They want NOTHING TO do with TACT in 025 and sure as hell not for Tony or Dave. Screw those two.
another merit sgt GB from gangs got made by Jimmy (Cmdr 010) and he spent like 6 months in 011 on 2nd watch. Wow. Real tough to stay on 2nd watch. Ugh. How did GB survive that?! Where did GB go after a grueling 6 months in 011? Right back to gang intel and smack dab onto a TASK FORCE.....wow...must be nice.
Like someone else said...." its all legit!!!"

Unfortunately this sounds good but is 100% false. JA is off the list. Primary-Saldana does think she is the best police officer he ever knew but he didn't have to put her in for merit. Mama made sure she scored high enough. If mama can make Lt Patty C a Lt she can surely make her daughter a Sgt. Jan is Riccios cousin that's why JA is taken care of.
Sgt. Dejesus did a few months in 010 then right back to a desk job.
Oh hallelujah fellow 019 District brothers, the loudmouth backstabbing Sgt. O S is gone! Back to where he came from just 9 short months since he sucked his way to a meritorious promotion. The sad thing is he can't keep his mouth shut, bragging about how his clout is the 1st and the civilian general counsel. G-d help us all if this schmuck has any influence on policy. A disgrace to the job and rank.

How do they find these spots. Whoever was in it before just didn’t leave. Oh they create a new spot
As far as Johnson lying, isn’t that a rule 14 violation.
On latest sgt order for new class somebody went right back to the same district they came from, was that a no-no?
Which are you you referring to? There was a mistake where two went back to original UOA but was immediately corrected and fixed. No one went back to their Most current UOA.
EJ has failed to lead by example and he has failed the troops miserably.
It’s a shame that we have to be on the edge about him making the right decision in regards to the QL shooting. We should be able to rest comfortably know that the top cop has our back.
It would be different if the officer was off-duty, goofing off or caught up in a personal Domestic, This Officer answered a 911. This officer responded to a situation that was already chaotic. This officer responded without being provided with all of the facts.
I’m sorry, but Quintonio LeGreir was a bat-wielding troubled teen, who had chased several students with a bat on the NIU Campus. Can some FOIA the records. Just because QL called 911 doesn’t mean that he wasn’t a threat to the officers once they arrived. It’s called a chaotic episode and officer’s safety is first.
QL’s mother lost him when he was 4 due to her abusing him and his father molesting him. Therefore, the officer responded to a boiling pot.
Each scenario in the academy where the perpeter uses a bat ends in the perpetrator being shot. We should sue the city, superintendent and mayor for poor training.
QL’s actions caused the shootings, not the officers neglence. LeGreir Sr. Is the one who called The neighbor who was minding her own business.
The reality is, traffic stops and street stops are at an all time low. Taser use is an issue. The Homicide clearance is at an consistent low. Morale has never been this low. The only thing that’s up are carjackings. EJ after all of your doings, the public still don’t give a damn about you.
Rahm May win the next election, but you’re going to lose the troops.

Don't worry about him making policy, he was brought back to merely fetch coffee and snitch on the rest of the unit, that is when the other suckhole Lt. Was unavailable.
I have no problems with a person who goes back to their old unit as a boss if that person has needed skills. The d unit needs experienced bosses etc. But when some Sergeant or Lt.tries to be somebody else that sucks. Bosses have the right to bring their people into their units to watch their backs. Many jealous people on this job.
It's amazing how in the latest set of merit promotions Sgt O from 019 is now LT O and we'll see how long it takes for him to make it back to 019. the now you have Sgt R from area north going to 025 and from what I hear both of these guys like to hear themselves brag about their clout. Shit like this makes an honest hardworking copper bitter as hell but on the job, politics will always be around just as the DILLONS (Sgt Janashley) what a (*^&kin joke
As far as Johnson lying, isn’t that a rule 14 violation.
I wish it was but lying to the police isn't a crime....bosses lie to everyone all the time about everything.

So by now everyone knows that Michelle Cook is really Michelle Bradley. Play by play, every dinner, birthday, vacation, cold, sick dog, new purse etc. Goes on Facebook.
Can someone please tell Commander Bradley how stupid he looks on FB especially in that costume when they were in new Orleans

"I was in that Sgt class as well and the Supe never said anything like that. Stop making shit up. Though I do think that policy would be a good one."
Oh yes he did! He stood in front of our entire class and said with a straight face that those promoted via merit nominations will do 2 years in patrol. Yet another lie by our fearless leader. It's all legit, folks!
