Rahm isn't scared of McCarthy - he hasn't even mentioned him as far as we can tell. But Vallas has already earned an attack from Rahm:
- Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Friday branded former Chicago Public Schools CEO Paul Vallas “the architect of kicking the can down the road” and said the city is not going back to those bad old days.
“This is a person who is the architect of kicking the can down the road — from skipping pension payments, eliminating direct-line revenue support for teachers pensions to Chicago’s corporate account . . . It took the city seven long, hard years to fix what he broke,” Emanuel said.
“We’re not going back. It’s not gonna be back to the future . . . Since this is the day, we’re not gonna have Ground Hog Day again here in Chicago. It’s not gonna happen.”
Vallas blasted back, showing that he might actually be a legit candidate:
- Vallas accused the mayor of spreading a “bald-faced lie.”
He argued he left CPS with “massive cash reserves,” pensions “fully-funded” and an agreement with the Chicago Teachers Union that, if pensions ever fell below full-funding, the necessary contributions would be made.
“The rating agencies don’t upgrade you 12 times if you’re kicking the can down the road . . . What has Rahm gotten — 12 downgrades?” Vallas said.
“This is what politicians do when they have a lot of money, and they have a record they don’t want to run on . . . Like Trump, they hope that, if they repeat the lies enough times, people will begin to believe them . . . That’s Rahm’s modus operandi.”
Vallas is remembered as being reasonably capable, and that's dangerous. Rahm's attack is a bit misguided - Shortshanks was in charge, not Vallas. But Rahm won't attack Shortshanks directly - that would appear ungrateful.

Rahm has apparently never heard of the phrase “Those who live in glass houses”. He kicked the can down the road to properly fund our pensions. As a matter of fact, his good buddy, former FOP President Dean Angelo held the can while Rahm kicked it.
Second City you bring up a good point about Mayor Daley. Preckwinkle took the road and blamed everything on Stroger only to bring back the Penny Tax and more. Rahm has yet to blame Daley on anything, why is that? He obviously inherited Parking Meters deal, Red Light Cameras and a budget for 13500 police officers, only to use the money on something else. The assessing of candidate competency is wasted effort; they are all proven competent to get on the ballot, being each is on the ballot, thus, they are all swamp qualified.
The only difference worthy of considering is determining which sub-massive cabal each is attached to. Then the voter can decide which clan is too harmful to continue increasing it's size, thus, choosing the candidate attached to a smaller sized clan.
When these obessessed with dominating others cabals are pitted against each other, which is their innate nature to always be, the common citizens have a slim chance of being substantially ignored.
Chaos is the uniquely effective means, when applied to the activities of the cabal creatures, to reduce the efficiency of their conniveries.

Just an observer here, but wasn't Sammy Martinez president of LAPA and during that time failed a drug test. He gave up his LAPA leadership and embarrassed Sup Rodriguez. But you and I know Rodriguez wasn't in any way political, if you think that your fucking crazy. As I read the comment and I'm like Rodriguez half Mexican, and did not get some asshole bad mouthing LAPA. Being of Mexican decent, and this isn't just me Amigo, LAPA is a supporter of liberal Democrat's that are fucking all of us up in law enforcement. Hey, why isn't LAPA speaking up about the sanctuary city policies? Why, because LAPA supports the liberal agenda. Keep voting Democrat stupid.
