All the hallmarks of an insecure micromanaging moron who has been promoted way above his ability:
- Small potatoes, but in case you're interested, Escamerit is starting to go ballistic again. Motherfucked the new midnight Lt over some radio room nonsense. Called in a brand new 3rd watch Sgt and read him the riot act because the Sgt complained about getting moved to days mid period. The Sgt is a lawyer and Escamerit told him something along the lines of 'You might be a lawyer on the streets, but here I'm in charge!'
He is messing with the wagon guys again on North Ave. Some dude got hit in the head with a bottle. The cop in the situation room saw it and called it out over the air. Beat car pulled up, guy didn't want a report, the offender was gone, 19p. The next day Escamerit called the new Lt on afternoons and said that if the wagon was where it was supposed to be, this heinous crime wouldn't have happened. The detail varies but they are usually restricted to a 14 block radius on north ave. They are now required to have a set lunch time, and have lunch relief. No I am not joking. Also, the two foot posts that he could have cared less about, must now be manned at all times. Think he is trying to suck up to Alderman Millie Santiago for the homicide that occurred where the guy got shot at a currency exchange.
Your guess is as good as mine why he is freaking out. 025 was leading the city in homicides a week ago. Not sure if it still is. That and the combination of new civilian exempts and the latest shit scandal might be making all exempts edgey. One rumor has it the aldertards love him because he sucks up to them so well and want him to be made deputy. He has so many fellow exempts that hate him though that his own brethren don't want it to happen.
A guy who should be counting his blessings every day, twice on Sundays, and here he is being a dickhead to his entire District, all watches. At this rate, they're going to have to re-start The Gallows.

025 is going to be a revolving door with mid-level supervisors, due to this Jagoff Escamerit. In the last few months, several have left, with Escamerit being the only factor. Sgt JS (who refused a direct order by Escamerit to lower some officers' evaluations), and Lt C (the Wolf, not Collazo), who simply had enough (too many issues with Escamarit to list).
True, Escamerit has a habbit of asking his underlings to do things that are no permitted by contract, and then mother-fucking them when they point this out to him. Sgts and Lts who don't want to voluntarily switch watch mid-period, or are not willing to violate the rights of officers under their command, are not "team players", his words.
I'm fairly sure Escamerit has mother-fucked every white shirt in the building. And it was very obvious when he switched the Operations Lt position to the newest/Latino Lt on the watch. In a show of unity, even the Latino white shirts want Escamerit to go fuck himself, so at least 025 has that going for it, which is nice.
The shit with the radio room was over a piece of missing equipment, with his solution being to ban civilians in the radio room on midnights (when afternoons are returning shit, Area teams are returning shit, and midnights are taking shit out...once it is finally available). And since Escamerit refuses to fill the open bid spot on desk, this leaves only the Sgt and Civilians working the desk (and they don't serve many rolls, absolutely not the roll of Bond Desk/Officer). Great logistics there, "boss".
This guy in 025 and all these other exempts need to realize that all their strategies and all their planning and meetings and whatever else they come up with make zero difference to crime and what these assholes do on the street. I worked the west side for years and they were killing each other before I got there and they continue to do it now and will continue to do it in the future. There just are larger forces at work that make anything the police do irrelevant. Quadruple the size of the department and house the bad guys for long times and you may have an answer. Short of that it's all pissing into the wind. And unfortunately with the democrats forever in charge of the city and county things will never improve. The police have been made into the bad guys in much of the publics mind and I don't see that changing. I guess I should finish with fetal is the word despite what these exempts want. Get through the day as safely as possible and let these bosses scheme and politic for their next promotion.
Tony isn't going anywhere until there is an opening in the Street Deputies office. This man will go nowhere unless it is alone. No one wants to deal with him.

There was a homicide last year, early morning, right before St Jude. 1/2 of the day shift went to St Jude. The Commander cussed out the Lieutenant, in front of the desk staff, during St Jude, because the Lieutenant didn't put a Post Shooting Mission in place during St Jude (this would be Sunday morning for the non-police readers).
We were hoping, so hoping, the Lieutenant would take the opportunity to give it right back to the Commander. We were let down.
He treats the guys that work the wagon like shit but they still do his bidding and ask for event numbers for positive community interactions.... pathetic!!

Unfortunately, it was her Honor Guard uniform, the one she kept at the station, as she has been getting a lot of details out for the guard. Looked sharp (better than most officers), but that wasn't satisfactory for tony. He made her do a second inspection the next day, in the WC office, with the "proper" uniform. What a fucking JAG!
One of the officers Escamerit is pushing has a history of stuffing people in trash cans. When the day comes that Escamerit pushes too hard, there will be an entire district of officers putting the blame on Escamerit. Or...maybe it will just be a missing person report.

In all fairness, Tony has been a blessing for me, personally. Prior to Tony, I did a lot of things that caused me hardships, such as court, late arrests, and the like. Thanks to this asshole, and the fact that even the white shirts can't stand him, there is absolutely no pressure, self-imposed or otherwise, to do Anything other than answer my calls, and back up the other officers. Guilt free, and largely stress free. There's something strange about being expected to be fetal by you supervisors, but it's a good strange.

If this guy ever goes the route of other exempts, once he retires, then that would mean he could one day be in charge of a suburban police department. A place where officers don't have the luxury of having the choice of other districts to bid out of. You write like you are an idiot.

The Secret Origin of Escamerit
The Story of G.I. Tony. A Real American Asshole.
A long time ago, in the shithole district of 011, a Harrison Ranger named Tony was able to finesse his way onto the tac/gang team. It wasn't too hard of a feat considering how much of a struggle it was for this former car wash attendant and part time bouncer to even join the CPD. He was looked at as the village idiot in his neighborhood of Bridgeport. Whispers of a low I.Q. and the propensity to turn his bed into a lemonade stand during the middle of the night had many who knew him doubting that he would ever accomplish his dream. People do slip through the cracks though in an imperfect hiring system. Bed wetter or not, Tony had cried his way through the police academy and was given his first star. However, a simple police shield would not suffice in his mind, and he aspired to one day wear the coveted gold star of the exempt kings.
Tony's main focus would be to show everyone that he was a tactical crack rock superstar. His first order of buisness was to go down to the nearest Army Surplus store to outfit himself with some camouflage clothing. Even though he never served in the military, and that outdoor camouflage was very stupid and impractical to wear in an urban setting, he wore his duds with misguided pride. Hiding behind trash cans and dumpsters, Tony would pounce on the dope dealers, chicken heads, pimps and the rest of the ghetto ne're-do-wells. The only time he would take a break was when he allowed himself lunch. Never leaving his nest behind the garbage cans, he would swallow down the sardines and crackers he would pack in his 'G.I. Joe,' lunchbox. It wasn't long until the nickname 'G.I. Tony,' was given to him by his snickering police comrades.
His career would have ended there, being just another footnote in CPD history, but he had a special talent that generated arrest numbers.....the uncanny ability to sniff out the crack rocks hidden in the dope dealers' anal cavities. Fellow tactical officers were amazed at his sixth sense in finding these narcotic nuggets.
'In order to get a gold star, sometimes you have to dig through a couple of brown stars,' he would say with a wink and a smile. That phrase became his mantra.
Like a tactical alchemist, Tony turned those smelly dope rocks into awards and accolades. When asked what his secret was by his teammates, he would arrogantly reply, 'I've always kissed ass to important people in power like judges and alderman. Anal cavity searches and sucking up to people kind of go hand in hand. Let's leave it at that. I will say though that as long as you got clout, you can do pretty much anything. You can be the biggest idiot in the world. Doesn't even matter how big of a pussy, kiss ass loser you are. Shit, even if IAD hypothetically caught me doing something stupid with guns, hidden away in a locker, I could still get out of it. Not that I would ever be stupid enough to be caught by that pathetic unit.'
It wasn't too long later that G.I. Tony got called in by his white shirt masters to see if he could duplicate the same success he had with guns, as he had with the ass rocks. But that will be a story for another day

I'll take the hit for this, but I don't blame the commander for setting up boundaries for his wagon crew. Sometimes, conditions call for those measures.
When I was new Lt. years ago in a district, I had issues with our wagon crew. They would always opt to get gas as far away from the district as possible, so as to be tied up in traffic and be rendered useless after 1400 hrs., when the 'yutes' would go nuts after leaving the high schools in the district. On top of that, they would never take lunch before 1300 hrs. Lunch at 1300, "gettin' gas, squad" at 1400, they basically got a free ride all afternoon, every day they worked, while the district went up for grabs. After observing their game for a couple of weeks, I called them into my office and gave them new guidelines. They were informed that during their morning transport of prisoners to County, they were now MANDATED to obtain gas on their way back, no exceptions. Lunch now had to be taken by no later than 1230 hrs., again, without exception. After about 3 periods of this, both guys put in their papers and retired. It wasn't personal, it was about spreading the workload around fairly. No one should get a free pass to do absolutely nothing for half the tour of duty. Our replacement wagon crew knew they were going to be closely monitored, and they made themselves useful to the watch, and we all got along fine.

Least we not forget how he had the Sgts come down to roll call last month before Compstat. 'Hey guys, Compstat is coming up this week. If the ISRs are low, the Commander will come down hard on the Lts. Anyone that brings in ISRs will be taken care of.'
Usually in the past, even if the commander is a goof, the white shirts will say something like, 'The commander is a good guy. Let's bring in some activity.'
They can't say that now though. It is way beyond that point. He really is that bad. Escamerit is just very lucky that the district is filled with a lot of millenial coppers now. They got a guy on afternoons that has two keys, for traffic court, due to all the tickets he writes. Yet despite his numbers, the commander had a sgt speak to him and tell him that 'The commander is aware of your lack of ISRs.'
What a low life piece of garbage. I will never forgive city hall for putting this fucking idiot in charge.

One of his most glaring examples of incompetent leadership was when he dumped the guys off of 2535 on afternoons for lack of ISRs. These guys busted their asses all summer. They were the only car that wasn't beat integrity. They ping ponged all over the district handling jobs. They lead the watch in arrests! Even Captain H. told dumb fuck Escamerit that kicking them off the car was a bad idea. He goes and does it anyway. His words 'These guys got to be made to understand that these are my cars!' Okay dumb fuck. Then don't complain when you make the blog. Better yet, why don't you assign yourself to the radio room? That way you can micro manage to your little black heart's content. Pussy.

One subject that doesn't get brought up enough, concerning this moron of a commander, is how much money he is costing the tax payers. All those management shifts he has done to Sgts and a couple of Lts adds up when he violates their union contracts.
Also, he had an officer psyched and detailed out of the district. It has been over two years now that the officer has been detailed to 015 against his wishes. That is gonna be one hell of a check he recieves after his grievance goes through.

Ah, glad too see my old buddy is still up to his old tricks. Makes me all the more happy that I bid out of 025. Is Escamerit still playing the 'What's up?' game? That is the one where he greets you to see how you will respond.
I'll go over the rules for beginning players. Escamerit will acknowledge you by saying 'What's up?' He will then wait and see how you reciprocate his greeting. He did this to a female PPO who was getting paperwork in the front office. Having never seen him before, she replied 'Hi. What's up?' Wrong response. Tony berated her for not addressing him properly. Then he tattled on her to the Lt. He played the 'What's up?' game with a desk officer that had beaten cancer. He too responded poorly and was counseled by the Lt after Tony cried again.
One police player was not in the mood for the spirited game of 'What's up?' with Escamerit. Outside by the benches, the Commander said 'What's up?' The copper responded back 'What's up?!' in a surly tone. Well, you would have thought that he had threatened to assassinate Escamerit the way cried to all the white shirts about it. The p.o. was officially admonished and had it put in his file. At the staff meeting, later that same day, all Escamerit could talk about was how this officer had disrespected him. He tried playing it off by saying, 'Well, I don't really care, but if he can do it to me, he can do it to any one of you!'
No Tony. Unlike yourself, we aren't retards that play the childish 'What's Up?' game with police officers. To any civilians that are reading this, I am absolutely serious. These incidents actually occurred. We really do have dumb jagoffs like Escamerit ruining this police department.
So remember players, if Escamerit asks 'What's up?' you better damn well answer back with a 'What's up, sir!?' or he will have a hissy fit. Always remember to tack on a 'Sir,' at the end. Then you win!

They probably won't be too many, if any, openings in the next few months. WIth that said, even if there is just ONE opening in the entire city, every last PO in the district should put in a PAR form.

So what I would like to know is what was this Escamerit like when he worked as a PO? What kind of cop was he as a young guy on the street. Did he bitch and complain when he worked for some asshole boss? Then however he made Sgt what was he like to work for? Is he a dickhead as a human being as well as a boss?
