  I didn't know if you had seen this on the news up there or heard anything about it down here.  One of our brothers in blue, Ryan Pearce, lost his 6 year old daughter this week in a tragic sledding accident.  It has sent our entire community, our department, and surrounding area into a state of grief, shock, and mourning.  But in a few short days, her passing is turning into something incredible.  It is bringing the community together in ways no one could have possibly imagined.  And, it's making our police family down here even tighter, if that's possible.
  
  [...] We set up a GoFundMe last week with a goal of $20,000 to cover funeral and medical expenses for her family.  We hit that in less than a day and have more than doubled it already in half a week. CBS 2 Chicago heard of her story yesterday and they ran a story on it.

  This is bringing a lot of Central Illinois Law enforcement together, at all levels, and it's a neat story to behold.
