Hypocrites

  • Why do so many Chicagoans distrust the Chicago police?

At least one reason stands out with yesterday’s news related to the 2015 shooting deaths of Quintonio LeGrier and Bettie Jones:

The city sought to keep secret Supt. Eddie Johnson’s letter detailing his rationale against firing Officer Robert Rialmo, who fatally shot LeGrier and Jones while responding to a 911 call.

    [...]

Surely the public deserved better than a leaked letter to learn of Johnson’s decision and rationale in a high-profile, controversial case like this. And with two civilians dead, openness would have better served the department, too. Secrecy breeds more suspicion, and the department’s reputation for honesty and professionalism already is in tatters, especially in the African-American community. Better to face the music if police ever hope to repair that breach.
And who was keeping that letter secret again? The beat cop? The tact officer? maybe an overworked detective? Oh wait, it was "The city...." It says so right in the editorial. And the Slum Times says they obtained it via a leak.

So what is the Slum Times doing about the "secrecy" of COPA? Paying for outside consultants and refusing to release the findings, even though they spent over $130,000 in taxpayer funds? And that's only one of the two reports.

Is COPA's credibility "in tatters, especially in the African-American community" or is that only reserved for the cops - who have exactly zero input into whether or not Rahm's legal department releases (or leaks) a letter ghost written for Special Ed by Corporation Counsel?

And how about that "Memorandum of Agreement" we covered yesterday? The entire document outlines over a dozen instances of keeping things "confidential" and eliminating the City's ability to appeal anything. That type of "secrecy" is okay because .... why again?

There is no such thing as a “leak” in this town, particularly during Rahm’s tenure. It feels like we’re living under the rule of Kim Jung Un or something and nothing ever sees the light of day except for the propaganda reels.

Transparency?

Talk about chutzpah. The Sun-Times and local mainstream media in general go far beyond mere hypocrisy. They won't dare expose the corrupt institutionalized promotion scandals that are the biggest cause of the abysmal morale of the CPD rank and file.

Garbage in, garbage out. The silence of the MSM on clout and corrupt politics is "the elephant in the room".

Account-ability:

The ability to account for....absent, entirely, from the inner most regions of the minds of the guilty.

Thus, in the minds of the guilty, no contradictions exist, since no accounting is ever allowed.

So, since no accounting is ever allowed, hence, no presence of contradictions can be found, as in, they do not find what they do not seek.

Expect more accountabilty from an alley rat; they, after all, can not survive indulging in the delusion of denial.

Unfortunately the Scum Times is right, but only because of perception.

Few people see the difference between "the police department" and "the city". To them, they're one in the same, and the Scum Times is just as ignorant, or just plain doesn't care about educating the public. That, and they don't want to be locked out when Rahm talks.

After all, think about who reads that rag and believes every word.

Off topic but relevant to many posts about catch and release of juvenile offenders. A 17y old, arrested multiple times since 2011, that would make 10 or 11 yrs old when he 114 Surveillance video captures fatal shooting at ATM
Surveillance showing the fatal encounter between a gunman and a customer at a North Miami Beach ATM last year.

The ATM surveillance is among a slew of court evidence being used in the prosecution of Marcine Hill.

Hill, 17, faces a second-degree murder charge in the Nov. 1 robbery and fatal shooting of Dillon Bud Calvin Steve, who was using the ATM outside a Bank of America branch.

Surveillance shows Hill approach Steve, 26, from behind and a pull out a gun. Steve steps back and slowly backs away before lunging at Hill. At some point during the struggle, Steve is shot and stumbles toward the parking lot, where his was sitting in their van. Hill runs away as Steve clutches his chest and eventually falls to the ground

Hill has been arrested 15 other times in South Florida since 2011 on various charges, including petty theft, grand theft, burglary and robbery.

Hill has been in jail without bond since his arrest. He is being charged as an adult and could face life in prison if convicted. his life of crime, arrested for murder.

If you need more ignorance read Mary Mitchell. Says a citizen would be expected to shoot a guy with a bat but not the police. Guess once you become a cop your skull transforms into steel. And she can't figure out how CPD use of force module actually would allow police to shoot someone with a bat. Remember, she's on the times editorial board which explains a lot. Mary, the black caucus and the liberal media that crusade against the police all have one thing in common: there is NEVER any blame for their communities actions. Everything is an excuse. Last time Mary had her car stolen she was disgusted by the fact two white cops caught the yute and wouldn't sign complaints. Wonder how disgusted she'll be when carjacked by the fine, caring people she defends and this time the police just say "thats too bad, here's your report." But that will be police's fault too for not caring cause "she's a woman of color."

This type of secrecy is okay because it dumps on the police and in a Democrat style of governance it is okay to dump on cops. In fact it is SOP from Washington DC with Obama and his comments the police acted stupidly to Hillary meeting with the BLM crew. But it sure did stop in its tracks with Trump and cheering thousands of deplorable people like us cheering at his rallies for his praise of police and law enforcement. Rialmo it seems did not violate the law after all but Democrats are always going to play identity politics and this is one reason why I contributed to his legal defense costs when the call went out.

I appealed to the Public Access Counslor, an office part of the Attorney General. The city refused to turn over the required documents to the Attorney Genera’s Office as REQUIRED BY LAW. The Attorney General ruled in my favor, forcing the city to turn over the emails. City still refuses, making me sue if I really want the emails. What’s the point of having a law if the city can just decided not to follow it?? Isn’t there a Department rule that says following all laws?

Public's help sought as police investigate stabbing death of software CEO in River North

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-met-mike-beedle-death-20180329-story.html

They are asking for the public's help again lets help the police and put the criminal in jail this is rahms values community policing ok who do we look for:

Police have reviewed video footage and were looking for a homeless person believed to have stabbed Beedle, 55, during a robbery attempt, according to Anthony Guglielmi, chief spokesman for the Chicago Police Department.

That is from googleme again, public call police on every homeless or suspected homeless person downtown that would fit the exact description right google goof?

Who is going to go after the thugs lets see gary says:
Morning Spin: McCarthy says he's running for mayor 'to save black lives'

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/politics/ct-garry-mccarthy-rahm-emanuel-20180326-story.html

And to save black lives gary will:
McCarthy also said during the radio interview that he would look to give the police superintendent the final say on discipline, instead of the mayor-appointed civilian Police Board. He said the board too often overturned his recommendations to fire officers. “I had accountability, but I didn’t have authority,” he said.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Great strategy there bronxbullshitter, some coppers were actually talking about voting for your pathetic tired ass! You need to stay home and take care of the young girl who married you your done! You gary are such a total disappointment, you want to fire police? Now in the story above this man was a business executive and "white" so gary do white lives matter to you also asshole? Just using the term "ITS THE CITY" kinda gets the people responsible for hiding and colluding off the hook.

The County States attorneys viewed all the video multiple times YET Nothing was wrong when the video was originally viewed>

Police Exempts including special ED all wanted private viewings of the video and they all signed off that the shooting was A-OK.

Corp Council who are now known for hiding evidence controlled the actual video.

RAHMs silly comment that he did not view the actual video but agreed to sign off on million dollar pay out for the deceased half ass family.

Alderman actually said they did not read the settlement or watch any video in the private sector they call that negligence!

So when you say the City it was not that lowly beat officer at the burger king collecting video or the females who sat in the squad saying the did not see anything because they were typing on the PDT.

In the mean time, 017 has 6 cops at late roll call. 2-2 PO cars and 2-99 units. The sheets say 8 PO's for early roll call. 14 cops to man a district? I looked at the lineup on the pdt for I believe it was 011 one night and I counted more 06 cars than 017 had cops working that night. Granted, 011 need far more police than 017 but the manpower at 017 is dangerously low. We've been talking about this for a year now and the only thing that has changed is the manpower is lower than last year, which was lower than the year before, which was lower than the year before. One of us is going to get killed or seriously injured and what will the response be? The dispatchers will send you alone to a domestic and if you go directly, you're going to be alone. We don't have the bodies to do the job. Do you have the manpower to handle hot jobs? Not if they happen all night.

You show up at roll call, look around at a nearly empty room and realize that tonight will be shit, just like last night, the night before and the night before that. Now go out there and get us an ISR, maybe later, much later.

What can one do with a hypocrite who knows they are a hypocrite and doesn't care if you know and even tell others they are a hypocrite?
How can you oppose them, stop them or even slow them down when they keep getting elected - because so many people literally like to be lied to, so long as they get their free stuff?

Well, for a while you can grin and bear it. Then, you can holer about it, of course only preaching to the choir though because free stuff defeats that squeaky wheel. After that, it gets pretty ugly quickly.

It takes actually fighting back. It takes refusing to abide by their double talk and nonsense. At first, people do this privately, concealed. As a result, some get picked off, scaring others, of course by design. Then, all hell breaks loose.

This is why Occupy and BLM were astroturfed. The TEA Party scared them, so they had to destroy the validity of public mass protest - making them mockeries and just another nonsense that people at home dismiss as just that - more nonsense.

When we speak, and write, and pray, and gather and petition over and over, all to no avail, and the same hypocrisy continues to rule over us as if we are subjects to be shaken down and beat up, there comes a point when the shot heard round the world comes to pass.

A moment that turns it all upside down, or in this case right side back up, comes to pass. Shameful as it is, it is a violent moment and it is a moment that lasts sometimes years. It is bloody, costly and can even become quite barbaric.

Twice this nation has had to endure this lesson the hard way. Looking around today, it appears it is going to have experience the hat trick. All when it is already written plain as day as a undeniable self evident truth that this is what will come to pass if hypocrisy rules.

It is the cops - even before the military- that I fear for most because at the time of initial kick off, a LOT of good and decent people are going to be ordered by hypocrite politicians to do some ugly things trying to suppress what they view as insurrection. Far too many will "just do their jobs" before it becomes to clear to them that no, that isn't their job at all. Indeed, that what the people are fired up about is what the cops should be addressing and hammering and arresting.

When it goes down, I urge cops, all officers of all stripes to take stock of what is actually happening. True That, do NOT take the BLM bait. Do NOT play into the politics. Do NOT be baited by the baiters. But when the real deal comes to pass, when the real deal happens, be sure to stand on the right and proper side - the side where defense of Liberty against the aggression of tyranny is being waged.

I remember the old timers back then telling me the same thing going back 30-40 years when they started. Every community backs their own no matter race etc. the Police were always outsiders but when the bodies started piling up those communities realized they better cooperate with the police. Not so with the "No Snitches" community. The grievance and race hustlers have fooled their constituents into believing the Police are committing genocide. If we are its going to take awhile. As the ratio for kill rate being the Community 400+to CPD 1. It's also funny the slum times doesn't even mention that COPA withheld the finding of it's consultant but they're beyond suspicion. The bashing of the police is not just confined to Chicago. It seems that every police officer that is involved in an incident that the media deems controversial will get the background grilling from the media. They will dig up every complaint that was ever filed against the officer, interview people who allege things against the officer, all in an attempt to paint the police officer in a bad light. I have even seen quotes from body cameras that said the officer appeared " agitated", " upset", etc. I sure wish there was a way to background every reporter out there and make public their background or how their neighbors feel about them. This bashing has got to stop but I know that it will not. The liberal media is having a field day. Yes, we will have a more polite police department for sure, but we will not have a more effective department. Urban policing is not a gentlemen's business and it gets rough now and then. I am not advocating brutality, but just stating the facts. Stay fetal out there.

More re-election campaign year blues for Rahm. Sun-Times takes a Rahm shot.

– “Why do so many Chicagoans distrust the Chicago police?”

What Chicago people is the S-T talking about?
Who are these people?
Not my neighbors, blue runs mighty deep here.

This attack on responding officers, namely Rialmo is the only issue you have with police transparency?
Did a lazy S-T ever look into the corrupt Merit system that puts so many incompetents hack in leadership positions?

Lo Energy Special Ed is a sock puppet filled with saw dust, lead shot and reconstituted cowpie, his word, his decisions, his rational and his ideology does not speak for us.
SunTimes, you are a fool expect and look to Special Ed for answers.
Never do you or your like, hound Rahm Emanuel for anything related to City corruption.
You only want transparency when it fits your narrative, right?

Don’t bring up the Rialmo decision as an example of trust and a need for bs social justice reforms.
Every time a armed maniac (government supported) attacks the police, there shouldn’t be a public uprising for reform.
The good people of Chicago, at least my neighbors understand this.

Fighting the police is an epidemic that the Sun-Times fails to understand and fails to report the truth, like its secret.
It’s no secret either that Prickwrinkle and KimmFoxx are the blame for letting criminals to run free.
No editorial on that little secret.

We all know S-T EB would not be covering this Special Ed letter if LeGreir plummeled his father, neighbor or the responding police, and then, met his maker.
That’s a fact.
They won’t tell you that.

Hey editorial board, if still looking for logic and real answers, try stepping in front of a swinging bat and see what strikes you, the whole lot of you.

I cannot wrap my mind around any other conclusion. It WAS a justifiable shooting. Any non-believers should simply face off against a pissed off thug armed with a baseball bat coming at them in a threatening manner. What would they do? Let their head be bashed in? No, like anyone with a lick of common sense, they would shoot until the aggressor was stopped, which is what the officer did. Case closed. OT: Looking for a good lawyer to file a lawsuit against the city regarding merit promotions and what the qualifications are. I am currently on the merit Sgt list that wall be getting taken down and replaced and know for fact that I am more qualified then some of the people selected (know some personally). I don't have any "juice" to get promoted and don't work inside. I am willing to bring a suit against the city for them to define what qualifies a merit promotion. I figure I have nothing to lose. So if anyone know a lawyer, post their name and number.

I can give you about 5 that will take your case on. But you will need to know that you will need about $50,000 in liquid asset to start it up. The going rate is $250.00 an hour. No lawyer in his right mind would take this case on as contingent of an award.

So if you got 100 K to make the lawyer happy, go for it. You will probably lose the case anyway after 3 years of litigation. Ask Sgt Northside what he endured.

Have a Lawyer file the suit, and you play Lawyer ! FOP is always there to help you out, LMAO.

If you're reading this blog you should know by now NOT to rely on the understaffed, overworked, fetal CPD. Apply for a concealed carry permit, buy yourself a pistol, learn how to use it, and carry it at all times, especially if you are riding the CTA. I would not ride the CTA without carrying.

Do NOT use a city lawyer. Use Gooch Law firm in Wauconda. This guy sues lawyers and municipalities. No nonsense and fearless.

The city does want it wants no matter what. I did a FOIA Request for some emails. The department denied part of the request.

That’s got Rahm’s 9.5 fingerprints all over it.
Rahm doesn’t follow any rules or laws that he doesn’t feel like following.
Accountability is for everybody else but not Rahm.

And, COPA did not hire even one former CPD member who met the criteria of being retired for 5 years or more.

It seems obvious they did not want to have any in-house resistance to their agenda.

Why does so little of America trust the media, was down wards of 30%? Because of sensationalistic garbage like this. When the suntimes folds, I will laugh my ass off at the idiots who called themselves journalists. At the head will be the racist hypocrite Mary Mitchell. Is there anyone other than sheriff Clark who will speak the truth about black America?

First you would have to be passed over. Then you could bring a suit for Violation of Title VII. of the Civil Rights Act of 1965. I can tell you these suits have been brought before and the city has won.

Barnhill v. City of Chicago, 142 F. Supp. 2d 948 (2001)
• P’s alleged racial discrimination due to the fact that the 1998 Sgt’s test included 30% merit.
• This is both an EP claim and a title VII violation claim. With regard to the EP claim, the court said P’s failed to show discriminatory intent. With regards to Title VII claim, the court said P’s failed to showed disparate impact on white males.
• In August 1998, the City promoted 251 patrol officers to sergeant as a result of this examination. Of these 251, 178 were promoted in rank order from the Assessment Eligible List, and 73 were promoted as a result of the Merit Component.
City won a motion for summary judgment, so it didn't even go to trial.

Little manpower in a unit with about 120 coppers. Most lines aren t manned except the green south and red south. Just follow the animals and u will have 1 team on that line. Realize this, New York has 4000 coppers in their transit unit.

Not retired CPD or former CPD or ex-CPD or anything CPD.

However, there are a very few with experience from other law enforcement agencies, but none with CPD experience.

Stop wasting your time and money. First of all you are on the merit list. In general anyone who is on the merit list is on it for no other than a political reason, as a favor to some politician or because you are of the right persuasion. Being on the merit list has nothing to do with being qualified! How do you show in court that you are more qualified than the next person on the merit list? Aren’t you there because you didn’t rank high enough on the promotional test? Merit pool is for bosses and city politicians to pick out their favorite pet, no qualification needed for the position. There wouldn’t be a reason to save 20-30% of the spots for merit nominations if everyone picked was picked based on how qualified they were and based on the rank order on a legitimate promotional test. As a second thought I think you must be just joking so in that case please forgive my response.

Joshua Hunt, chief investigator. I looked it up, so can you. Instead of being a dick, why not just ask a question? Anyways, just because someone was former LEO, doesn’t mean they won’t fuck the police because it suits their career. Case in point, Superintendent Eddi Johnson has railroaded cops and he’s not even retired.

Here’s a novel approach. Quite worrying about the list being taken down and you spending money on a lawyer
Try studying for the next Sgt test and score high enough not to have to be on the merit list. No matter how you look at it, you are taking a spot from an officer who scored higher than you on the test
