Disgusting Article

We aren't going to quote it, but the link is here. Chicago Magazine spends way too much time attempting to explain the actions of a career criminal who ended up murdering Commander Bauer. The authors attempt to soften it up by interspersing information about Bauer, but then they attempt to draw parallels between Bauer and his killer. Why the fuck would anyone do that?

We don't really give a rat's ass about his difficult upbringing. Plenty of people had it worse (or better) and most of them didn't end up with extensive felony records, prison careers and being a net drain on society for their existences - oxygen thieves to be mildly polite. Pretty much no one is going to miss this piece of shit when he shuffles off into oblivion.

This quote...:
  • We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions. - Ronald Reagan
...ought to be studied by more than a few "journalists" and their editors.

Jake Malooly, who penned the Reader hitpiece on Mount Greenwood last year, interviewed Paul’s wife. He was on Chicago Tonight with the other author, and when asked what Mrs. Bauer thought of drawing a parallel between the two men he said that he didn’t tell her the angle the story was going to take. How dishonest is that? There is a reason the kid got fired from the Reader.

Maybe they should give a class on Paul Bauer or at least a class on how to be a human being and function in society like a human being. I think it’s called moral compass that is something the South and West sides need to learn.

Fuck that put those two chuckleheads above on blast! He had a rough life so that’s supposed to justify him MURDERING Commander Bauer?! He made the choice to be a career criminal, he made the choice to carry the gun and he made the choice to pull that trigger six times. If those two think that piece of shit is so innocent maybe they can go spend the rest of his life in jail with him. Fucking idiots.

I read the entire article.
I read the twitter response the author gave.
I have concluded the following:

If the point of this article was to "Humanize" both men, then why is 90% of Paul's part of the article discussing him being the police? I'm sure the man has funny stories, great quotes, and distinct events he enjoyed being at outside of the job. They were never discussed. I'm sure there were tales of him having incredible adventures with his daughter and wife. Not a peep. I'm sure there were accolades from neighbors that interacted with him and talked about sports or asked how their day was. Not a whim.

Being a police officer is a JOB. What happens when I open the door to my home and put my gun in my safe is when I am a HUMAN.

Understand this, identity politics can only go so far for civilized society to maintain some sort of order and positive discrimination to determine true victims. Thus if the authors point was that this offender was a "victim" for the past 20 years and the Cmmdr is only a mere victim of circumstance, then I present the following. "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

Little quote from the great Doctor.

Make no mistake about this, yeah Paul was a HUMAN. This offender is by biological definition a HUMAN. No one here disputes that. But it is understood from a Moral and Ethical stand point that you lose your HUMANITY when you consciously decide to put innocent people at risk to lose their lives and do so due you YOUR OWN DECISIONS.

I implore more media members to take a step back and realize that this isn't some tragic movie or some falling from grace tale. This is real life. Ask Paul's family. Ask the offenders kid. To come out and write something like this as if it were a modern day Shakespearean play for clicks on a website? Distasteful to say the very least. To finish my rant I leave with another quote from the Big Lebowski in direct message to Adeshina Emmanuel (@Public_Ade) on twitter who co-wrote this story.

"Walter Sobchak: Am I wrong? The Dude: No you're not wrong. Walter Sobchak: Am I wrong? The Dude: You're not wrong Walter. You're just an asshole."

I actually read the article a couple of days ago. I thought it was well written. The way it reveals how Paul and his wife got together was cute. On the other hand, reading about Paul's murderer, Shomari Legghette, was depressing and in many ways made me angry, depicting him as a man who had squandered educational opportunities while attending college and playing basketball in Mississippi (eventually flunking out), having two children he could not support (the last one was 'planned,' even though he continued a life of crime to support himself, and sporadically, the daughter). His denials and insistence that he did not partake in a botched armed robbery in the suburbs in which he was apprehended after a lengthy vehicle pursuit were typical denials of a criminal. Legghette's anger over his mother's catastrophic injury (paralyzed as the result of a car crash while going to visit him during one of his stints in prison) and subsequent death as a result of her paralysis was sad to read, but ultimately, Legghette's legacy is one of a life squandered, while Paul's was a life built on solid foundations.i think everyone should read the article. I also think reprints of it should be made available and distributed in every Chicago Public High School. It just might convince someone headed down the same path as Legghette to wake up and take a different road.

When people talk about the "ghetto" they point to the South and West sides of Chicago. That really isn't the ghetto that is the result of the ghetto. The ghetto is in the mind and heart it's not in the physical neighborhoods and their buildings those are the result of the ghetto. When we are born some of us are tall, skinny , smart, dumb, fat, short, pretty, ugly. The reality is that we don't choose the path of our lives but we choose the way we go down the path by making decisions and choices. And as the great philosopher "Yogi Berra once said, when you come to the fork in the road, take it".

The harsh reality that liberals need to face is as follows: For the good of society, there are many that need to be either housed permanently in a psychiatric facility, housed permanently in prison or just simply put down like the negatively contributing, oxygen stealing, filthy animals that they are. There is no redemption or rehabilitation for individuals such as Gacy, Dahmer, the neighborhood drug dealing shooters who by definition are serial killers, and now, Legghette. Rabid dogs who attack are euthanized after being caged. It may be harsh, but wake up snowflakes, this is how one lives in a safe and positive contributing community. You do not succeed in life by having everything given to you and excuses made for every fault. When society freely gives handouts that reward poor and criminal behavior, you eventually live in an area overrun by Leghette's. May murderous Leghette burn in hell while Commander Bauer guards heaven alongside St. Michael.

The goal of article is to soften you up towards both men. Not just a criminal, not just a cop. It may work on the impressionable and feeble minded, but not me. Leghette's tale is that of a typical shitbird. Choices. That's what makes you who you are and he made some bad ones and never fully paid the price for his crimes which is why comm. bauer had to. Absolutely maddening to read this. There's plenty who will read this article and not place the blame where it belongs, in Leghettes hands. he chose to love outside society's norms and be lazy and selfish. He chose to break the rules for personal gain while bauer colored inside the lines and lived an honest life. Leghette deserves the death penalty which we sorely need in Illinois. Sickening to hear these savages talk about robbing and selling drugs like it was a job and they were doing it to support their family. the problem is the ghetto culture and that its followers don't see the err in their ways. Until then, we will have BlM, and this cancer will continue spreading amongst the black community. The cycle continues because of this distasteful article. The eye-watering context and disingenuous liberal/progressive,
née typical Alinskyite disdain - if not hatred for The Police,
Policing, civility and the law; percolates to the surface of
this article despite the authors best attempts to feign being
"fair and balanced."

The false equivalency they strain and shit
themselves to achieve is glaring to those
of us with a well trained, jaundiced eye
and the battle-hardened discernment that
accompanies a Policeman's grief and outrage.

We remember a time when overall society would
be so aggrieved and outraged.

Society would thusly demand that something
actually be done to mitigate the source of
said aggrievement and outrage.

This here:

"The Police ARE the problem."
"Police Reform MUST happen hard, fast and right now."
"Tha Communerty demands a seat at the table."
"The Police are committing genocide in minority communities."

...The energetic and FULLY entrenched avoidance
of responsibility, culpability and the REAL and adult
"conversation" about a false narrative constructed to
prop up and give undue credence to a corrosive cultural
subset and the wholly corrupt construct designed to use
it as a POTENT political weapon against the rest of
everybody else.

Paul Bauer's MURDERER should be seen only
as the MONSTER he is but the perpetual grievance
and victimhood industrial complex machinery is
already spun to an insane pace here in Chicago.

Feel the chill down your collective spines as
you contemplate the hotted-up outrage had

>Hard Pause so that the usual joyful haters
and willfully ignorant talk-shits can catch up<

The pathos of the journalisto & the journalista has always exhibited the glaring craving for self promotion.

Like the frustrated toddler, sitting in a corner, plucking fingertipped sized turd nuggets from it's tiny, tender poop hole and flcking them at any and all passing creatures, be they momma, poppa, big sis or bro, even the family spaniel, this particular pair of craving toddlers fancy themselves worthy of copious accolades for the, to them, finely crafted piece of journalistic jizz stain.

The quoted "...all people are human...", with it's companion wisedom of " all humans are people", brings to mind the well known quote.... "Soylent Green is PEOPLE!!!!!!!!".

The feckless pride of the compilers of this compost pile is not surprising, as their egos, both bloated and, thus, barely substantial, predict the nature of their work product.....aka crapola.

Coating their dynamic duo dissertation thickly in the "Oh, the Humanity!!!" koo koo buttery frosting, as if the common qualities of body being assembled of meat, blood & bone are oh so meaningful, this pair of like feathered fertilizer factories proceed to craft a missive which, ineffective as it is in accomplishing it's claimed purpose, is so thoroughly efficacious, in exposing tweedle dementa and tweedle dumb as only a twit can be, that even on repeated reading inspires the well earned mockeries of the absurdities scattered as generously about as pidgeon poop upon the village square's never, ever, ever to be cleansed cobblestoned surfaces.

The Beast of Mockery picked a pair of truly like minded knuckleheads here.

The Murderer's legacy is that of a cornered, rabid vermin.

No quantity of verbal vanities alters that one teeny, tiny morsel.

The commonality of all living creatures is finite terms of living.

Some lives are woefully too brief, some horrendously too lengthy, and, some lives prove out to be that proverbial "wasted nut".

After all, he was abandoned by his birth mother and lived for a time in a Russian orphanage. Then, his adoptive mother died and his adoptive father kicked him out of the house. The students (@David_Hogg111) at Douglas HS bullied him relentlessly. Using the writers' evidence that a difficult life is justification for murder, doesn't Cruz also deserve to be "humanized" and have his sentencing mitigated?

Perhaps a verbal reading of both the articles and the comments, as the first thing to begin their classes, would imbue the thoughtfulness you imagine is possible within the minds of the thoughtlessly inclined.

Why, even though the lively discussions to ensue thereafter such readings would produce many concussions, contusions and the like, these would be merely lasting reminders, to the always eager to deny, of the essential natures of their fellow denizens of the Glorious Land of Pretenders......

Bauer for one reason, he didn’t want the go back to jail where he belongs. He had his chances at having a productive life and threw it away. He was in that car for a long ride before the robbery. He could have gotten out at any stop light. He could have got out and ran as the robbery went down he could have ran instead of getting back into the car after the robbery. Railroaded? I think not. I read that article. What I read was the career criminal CHOSE TO QUIT numerous opportunities that required him to put effort toward becoming an honest, law abiding, hard working man. So what the hell does this have to do with why he killed a police officer?

Side note. I love when the career criminal was unable to care for his daughter "because he moved to a different neighborhood." Or how he taught his daughter "her abc's and how to count money". Priceless.

I actually found the article interesting.

Highlights the differences between a man who made the right choices in life and a walking turd who made the wrong choices and took an innocent life.

I also found Turdsicle's comparing himself to Trayvon Martin amusing. Zimmerman was a shithead who wanted to be a cop. Turdsicle is a shithead who killed a decent man who happened to be a cop.

Yeah, Mister Turdsicle is the true victim. He was just minding his own business when the police started to chase him around downtown streets.

Story a few weeks back about how Turdsicle was terrorizing the homeless on Wacker drive shows what a true evil piece of filth he is.

Seriously, I didn't take offense to the story. I look forward to the followup where Turdsicle gets sentenced to life without parole and then gets ass cancer and dies without ever seeing sunlight again.

"...every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker."

But it takes a village!

Yeah. Of idiots to believe this.

People don't want to believe that evil exists.

So you mean all those social programs where they promote kids through CPS who can’t read, write or do math haven’t worked out??? All those politicians who started job training centers in their wards where they received thousands of dollars in staffing and computers hasn’t worked out??? All of this minority contracting and affirmative action hasn’t enabled people of color to get ahead??? Well how about the LINK system and social security and section 8 housing??? All these programs costing taxpayers millions of dollars and this guy just couldn’t find a job or a way to support himself and his two illegitimate children other then robbing stealing and selling drugs???

What are we missing here? Oh yeah a system that failed to keep this guy locked up so he couldn’t hurt anyone! The system failed yet again and all the liberals can do is make excuses.

Stop making excuses and impose consequences or this cycle will not stop and define fly get worse.

My issue is, Did Paul Bauers wife know that the article would be shared with his killer, if not Chicago Magazine should fire all concerned or involved with this article. THEY ARE A DISGRACE AND EVERY PILICE ORGANIZATION SHOULD ASK ALL BUSINESSES TO STOP SELLING THIER MAGAZINE.

False Narrative.
False Equivalency.

Tools and hallmarks of the large urban center

A murdering, responsibility-avoiding, devoid of any
impulse control, walking/talking, hyper-violent piece
of politically, socially and culturally weaponized piece
of DUNG (Thank YOU democrats, liberal/progressive
large urban center Alinskyites, MSM and especially
Obama and his cabal of nation-hating side-saddle
riding subversives to include Rahm Emanuel etc.)
being nauseatingly equated with a good man like
Paul Bauer...

The article writers presumed the overall readership
as too dense to discern the context.

There is a real problem with Chicagoans being
thought of as un-enlightened provincials and
blue collar hicks to be ruled over and separated
from redress of grievance at the ballot box and
their political/social influence...

Not to mention separation from a goodly amount
of their treasure.

We disdain these smug, snide, nasty-assed, oh-so-smart/
know so much that just isn't so, sideways talking, laughing-
up-their-sleeve progressive agenda adhering squat-to-pee'ers
from everywhere else BUT here (Hiya Rahm!) who have done
so much to ruin the quality of life for regular, tax-paying
Joes in this town...

Why did he plead not guilty to the murder charge? “Because I’m not guilty,” he says. “Would Trayvon Martin have been guilty with George Zimmerman if it had went the other way?”

So what he is doing is planting a seed. Black man who thought he was going to be killed by a white police man... Remember OJ.. found not guilty.. It only takes one on a jury for it to be a hung jury...

Seriously, you are strange.

And, had Trayvon not upped the ante by inflicting physical violence on the other guy, Trayvon would still be alive.

The one who used Bauer’s horrid death the most for political gain is Rahm. And so many so called cops are still against any other candidate. A vote for Rahm is a vote for the killing and destruction of police.

Disgraceful article! Chicago magazine shoud be ashamed, but they're probably too dumb to know it. Some of us appreciate the police, honest!

Who still read Chicago Magazine anyway, except maybe while waiting for your colon exam in the doc's office?

Research North Lawndale and the results read..North Lawndale is notorious for its youth being in trouble with the law. This is not a criticism, however, just because criminals teach their kids to rob people, carjack females and snatch their purses all of North Lawndale's youth should not be in trouble or suspected of trouble by law enforcement. And it is true, hoodlums do try to force "honor roll" students to teach them or help them rob and commit other criminal activity.

Trayvon felt threatened, being followed by a strange white male in a car. What did that (now former) 022nd District officer
do when he felt 'threatened' by that off-duty Merrionette Park officer who saw him driving while impaired? OH, that's right...
he got out of his car and fired several shots at the officer! And you think Travon was the catalyst in his own death, when the
Florida dispatcher directly instructed Zimmerman not to follow Martin (who had committed no crime at all), and to let the police handle it? I think your reasoning is flawed, sir.

It just might convince someone headed down the same path as Legghette to wake up and take a different road.

My ten year old wants to be a police officer in Chicago after the death of Commander Bauer.
My CPD friends that provide security at her school are trying to talk to her about NOT doing becoming an officer.

4/11/2018 11:59:00 AM

Do you really think any mope like Legghette are reading that article?

PS- if you're daughter at 10 wants to be the police, let her have that goal. Tell you're friends to lay off. A lot can happen in the next decade.

"Jake Malooly ... dickhead. "

"Jake Malooly... the kid got fired from the Reader."

Two of the worst " journalists" "reporters" or "writers" in Chicago. They love to bash police and victimize ghetto, criminal behavior.

Adeshima- I like to call him Addled Shitmouth-is particularly vile, a race baiting police hating fake writer that doesn't report inasmuch cut and paste and parrot the content of other writers.

He wrote the racially inflammatory Reader hit piece on the corrupt Pritzker. A true piece of trash reporting. That article set the stage for the detestable Mark Konkol 's termination from the Reader. No wonder DNAinfo booted his ass out the door.

And Malooly of course wrote that racially vilifying hitpiece on Mt. Greenwood.
I happen to work in the Mt. Greenwood area. Strangely enough, I've seen the blacks and whites get along fine over there.

It is these shithead writers, along with the self righteous, fake, lying liberal filth like Curtis Black and the Chicago Reporter, just about anyone from NPR/WBEZ, and Sam Stecko, fired Sun Times reporter now a journalist for some under read liberal rag called The South Side Weekly, that are fomenting racial disharmony and anti police sentiment.

These rodents are on the fringes of Chicago's mainstream " media" that are praying for a VanDyke acquittal so they can stoke the fires of anarchy, hate and chaos in hopes of permanently destroying Chicago, police-community, and racial relations.

Start boycotting ALL of the local media, the fringe media, and the companies and sponsors that support them.
