- State health officials have now linked two deaths and dozens of illnesses to synthetic marijuana known as K2, while federal prosecutors on Monday said they found a large amount of synthetic pot laced with a toxic substance often used in rat poison being sold at a West Side convenience store.
Fouad Masoud, owner of King Mini Mart at 1303 S. Kedzie Ave. in Lawndale, and two of his employees, Jamil Abdelrahman Jad Allah and Adil Khan Mohammed, could face 20 years in prison after an undercover officer bought K2 branded with names that included “Blue Giant,” “Crazy Monkey” and “Matrix” from the workers, according to a federal complaint.
The investigation leading to the arrests began last week after Illinois State Police gave Chicago police information about someone who had experienced adverse side effects after using synthetic pot purchased at King Mini Mart. An undercover officer was sent into the store and bought synthetic pot.

The problem is that the rat poison is not fatal to the smoker.
It may mess up their body and their brain, and we will end up paying the medical tab. For Years and Years.
How about all the patrol officers go into the stop and robs on their beat, and look for this crap. If you see it, report it to the Narcotic Dicks or the Feds? Or at least let the owner know it is illegal, and what happened to Fouad Masoud, owner of King Mini Mart and his two employees?

Looks like the self cleaning oven is doing the job! Back in the day as the saying goes you had 2 types of weed “good shit” or “bad shit” but not “deadly shit!” With it being bought at stores there has to be an easy way to find the manufacture and place them under arrest put their name all over the news 24 seven with this be right? Or are they donating to some political organization to protect themselves follow the money!

More troubling is the amount of money they launder, the food stamp fraud and the taxes they’ve been evading.
Maybe that should have been looked into first before they were allowed to sell fake weed to the jobless crackheads.
I believe the whole investigation wasn’t the fake weed deaths or illness.
It was the insensitive names used on the packaging...
“Blue Giant,” “Crazy Monkey” [and “Matrix]”.
These product names didn’t reflect the values of Rahm’s Sanctuary City.
Simply changing the names to “Large Fictional Character of Colour” and “Developmentally Challenged of Anthropoid Descent” will satisfy the Sanctuary Laws of Chicago, Cook Co and Illinois and give the MiddleEastern shopkeepers another opportunity to continue their small entrepreneurial venture.
Plus free stuff for a year to all community members.

So, they arrest a couple of people for the death of someone who they sold this product to. Which is good. This law should be used more often. Now how about those lacing Heroin with Fentynol. Oh, that's right, to charge someone with murder you have to classify the death as a homicide and the deaths from Fen Fen aren't classified as a homicide because it would drive up the homicide numbers. Never mind.
Legalize, regulate, tax. Pot, weed, cannabis, is big business, becoming corporate. Like alcohol, its time to bring it into the main stream. Why is this so hard to see?

So, how do you get repeat customers if your product is laced with rat poison? Maybe it's an "I'll clean up the neighborhood myself" kind of thing.
Take another page from the South African playbook. They have been adding rat poison and anything else they can find (i.e. cleaning detergents and chlorine), to make the highly addictive nyaope. And nyaope wasn't even illegal for many years.
Another interesting story from there, a white woman was sentenced to 2 years in jail for her rant about blacks (this after she had been the victim of a crime). On the other side of the fence politicians can be speaking of white genocide and nothing is done. I could see this same thing happening here in the future.

about a year or so ago a kid was smoking this crap, ran from the police and later died while in custody. His family is suing all the Officers involved as well as the City. Just another form of ghetto lottery for them
Rat poison in fake weed and rat poison in real weed. A lot of weed in the USA is grown illegally in national parks. Water diversion laws and environmental laws are being broken every day to create these illegal grows. Mice and other rodents like to eat the stems of cannabis plants. To combat rodents, rat poison is spread around the grow. Then it rains or the plants are irrigated and rat poison gets into plants, the rivers, streams, ponds, and into wild animals drinking from natural water sources. So yes, traces of rat poison is found in weed. It has been found in wild deer tested by hunters and has been found in previously clean water sources. Most illegal weed has rat poison. I don't smoke but for those who do, enjoy! Darwin law of evolution should help here.
As someone who used to smoke real pot back in college that synthetic ship can kill you because it's synthetic crap.
It's safer to do math off the stomach of a crack w**** at 115th and South Shore than it is to do synthetic weed.

Synthetic weed seems about as attractive to use as synthetic beer or synthetic bourbon. Binny's sells the real beer and bourbon and that's where I'm going with my money
