A Recording Studio?

  • Just eight classes into a music education course at Cook County Jail, inmate D’Andre Morris already looked like a professional. Using an Apple computer connected to two subwoofers, Morris deftly cut and blended musical tracks at a new recording studio built in the basement of the jail’s medium-maximum Division 11.

Long interested in songwriting and music production, Morris said he’s never worked on professional sound equipment like the kind inside the studio locked behind a large green metal door with a single square window. Morris, who’s spent more than a year behind bars awaiting trial on an attempted murder charge, said he’s grateful to be learning the technical aspects of sound engineering, even if he regrets that it took a stint in jail for this opportunity.
All of which will go out the window if he's convicted. Because we don't think any of the maximum security prisons in Illinois are as....."enlightened" as Fart tries to seem.

We're going to suggest something crazy here, so bear with us. How about encouraging some of these "at risk" youths to, you know, stay in school, learn something, explore opportunities afforded them at so many different levels of the educational system and maybe, just maybe, becoming a productive member of society and not a drag in jail?

Crazy talk, right?

I wonder if any of this is offered at any high schools or community colleges? I attended Dunbar when we had our choice of shop classes. Plumbing, Electrical, Car and Print shops. Is that even offered anymore I think the teachers cancelled those along with gym.

It's a nice thought and all, but how many rappers and hip-hop producers does the world really need? You'd think they'd be better off learning something more boring but also more practical, like HVAC repair or plumbing.

That's just one of a myriad of useless programs they offer. Yoga, guitar lessons, art therapy, drum circles, etc.

The new thing to placate the ghetto types is to encourage rap careers and the NBA. This is to placate the south and west side criminals. The thought of a real trade is something they are not interested in. It’s all rap and nba fantasy. It’s absurd. And these so called phony community groups are also getting federal money to encourage this rap madness. And Rahm is right along with it to but south and west side votes to be re-elected.

Anonymous OMG I GREW UP A LIBERAL said...

Before my police career began, and as a young local college student, I took a field experience course tutoring inmates, one on one, in basic education at Cook County jail. Those students got no breaks or leeway from the program. Screw up or violate any jail or program rules and they were banished. While many were only there to spend time away from the general population, they seemed sincere about their self improvement. The programs' goal was to help them attain their GED. I watched many a lightbulb go on in these guys heads as they began to really learn stuff. It almost sent me into teaching.

Years later, after leaving the police academy, I went through culture shock as the reality of being a cop on the streets of Chicago hit home. It fundamentally changed my life socially, politically and in every way possible.
I prefaced all of this to make this point: Politicians are here to do two things,
1) to GET RE-ELECTED making money off the backs of the working class, and
2) to STEAL every penny they can from the taxpayers to use for themselves.
That is all they care about.

Maybe some of my liberal upbringing is coming out here but if the jail can put some money to good use to teach some inmates a skill they can use outside the prison walls, what's wrong with that? The democrats were just planning to steal the money somehow, anyway. And this kind of "employment" is perfect for them. Becoming a DJ or something that doesn't require them to work an 8 hour day, and would allow them to earn money and still hang in the bars and try to impress the ho's may actually force them to pay some taxes. I'm sure most of these guys would rather be employed in the recording industry than be a dope pusher in Englewood. Lord knows these worthless elected officials don't come up with any other sensible solutions for anything.

Okay, another putz democrat tries to slip it's slime noodle into a convo most real.

To review:

1st the unassailable bona fides are presented, (claimed), slickly composed as to persuade belief in their veracities.

Then, comes the slop.

Proof of the nature of their pustulance?

Feeble assertions of exagerated value of worthless endeavors + a concluding weak shot, insincerely expressed, at the politicians they serve.

Sorry, charlie, but you're transparent, especially when you try stealth mode.

For those that are interested I just found out that the guys from Bhengazi Kris 'Tanto' Paronto and Dave Benton are in town this weekend teaching some pistol and rifles classes. They are doing a book signing event at the Ds Arms pro shop in Barrington on Thursday evening.
These are the guys Hillary left to die, they are very outspoken about it and the movie 13 hours is based on them.
Show support and show up to the book signing, make a liberals head explode even if you don't buy a book these guys earned it.
