- Scc, please post asap. Judge Hooks will be deciding tomorrow, Friday afternoon at 1200hrs. 26 cal. Rm 301. Bond for Jackie Wilson for the murders of officers Fahey and O’Brien. A large show of support would be greatly appreciated by the families.
Hooks is the social justice warrior judge bending rules and the law to retry (and free) the surviving Wilson brother. He's previously banned armed police officers from his courtroom, so expect Sheriff Deputies to be playing the role assigned to them, though it would be nice to see them refuse.

Alive brother blames everything on the dead brother....such a defense never uttered when both alive. Lawyers are scumbags. Something must be done for the sake of our brother's memories. The special prosecutors who handled the bond hearing on Thursday could not have done a worse job if they tried. It appeared this was the first time they have been introduced to the case. They had facts wrong, dates wrong, names wrong. They could not tell the court if the witnesses they were going to call were even alive today. It was a complete embarrassment. We all know Hooks is an asshole but these two were the definition of incompetency. We have good lawyers in the State's Attorney Office who still believe in what we do (not all but some). This is a trial for the murder of two Police Officers and it would be nice if the lawyers assigned could get pass the bond hearing without looking like a first year law school drop out.

I agree. How they can hold people in contempt for otherwise legal courtroom behavior (talking, telling, protesting, swearing, sagging pants, disrespectful looks, sounds and eye-rolls. We’ve seen all numerous times. Good for you, judges. But when we get motherfucked on the street and all those behaviors from criminals and we take police action you say, “part of your job.” Fuck judges. I’ve always looked at them as self-serving clowns. They enjoy the absolute power but now it’s gotten to a point where they’re also derelict in their duties.
I always said I wouldn’t lift a finger if dude attacked most judges. There were a few good ones over the years but most were just another symptom of the Chicago political machine
The liberals/progressives can not believe that anyone can be convicted of killing a police officer. If they can't find a way to spring the killer, they will find another. Look at the New York examples.

The FOP should start a campaign to vote this judge out of office. I have said it before go to the neighborhood newspapers and put adds to vote him out of office. The FOP can go to these newspapers and get interviews and state the reason why he should be voted out of office. This effort should start out slowly and go full throttle leading up to the election. We did it before, we can do it again. If every Police Officer in Cook County could get four relative to vote him out he be gone. Have every unit representative push this idea at rolls calls. I also think the National and State FOP should also get involved. If the local, state, and national FOP organizations help pay for adds It can be done.
Another alleged judge who is attempting to right a so called wrong by freeing a cop killer. His sense of justice is so ridiculous that he should be recalled.
The sad thing here is too many new coppers don’t remember what the Wilson Bros did to our brothers, Fahey and O’brien. This gives Karl Marx revolutionary’s like Hooks the power to make these decisions.
Bet our bosses in the academy don’t even mention or teach about the deaths of these officers anymore. Prior to retiring I worked the NATO riots/protest and pointed out Bill Ayers to a couple of new officers. They wondered if he worked the wagon in the deuce.

In one of the hottest heater cases in the 1980's most officers serving at that time were amazed the Wilson brothers made it to trial alive. After their capture, the media and police brass were almost a constant presence to ensure that everything was done by the book. I am sickened by this Judge and his decision to toss this case. This is an abomination. We can only hope that this judge will get his walking papers the next time he's up for retention. This is truly a dark day for law enforcement. It goes right up there with the not guilty verdict that freed OJ Simpson. And George Ryan, wherever you are, a big FUCK YOU goes out to you.

I just saw the cop killer released with his lawyers arms around him. These lawyers and judges are a disgrace and unethical. The law here is not about the truth but about opinions and prejudices of scumbag judges and scumbag lawyers. I would rather deal with a used car salesman.

probably won't be a next trial. the evidence is so tainted that most of it will be thrown out. would kind of be pointless to have a trial without any usable evidence.
how much of a payout he gets, if any, is hard to say. my guess is the city would not want a lawsuit in federal court that would open up a lot of upper level people to being deposed. they might think $10 or $15 million to avoid that is cheap. You never know what might come out during such depositions. Keep in mind there are a crap load more of these cases on the way and strategically it might be better to not have a lot of information out there that would be best kept in the dark.
