(2 confirmed unarmed, and one inconclusive case. For the sake of argument let's just say the unconfirmed case the assailant was armed too.)

I just watched the video on my phone. Looks like there's something wrong with the color settings on my phone. Those gentlemen asking the mean man for a ride appeared to be black, but it also looked like one of them was holding a gun, and the gun looked like it was shooting at someone. Guess it's time for a new phone. I looked in the article for a description of the gentlemen, but the only one with any kind of description was a police officer. Remember an annuitant may be a spouse.
As of February 28, 2018, there are
4566 annuitants between 70-79 yoa, 1843
annuitants between 80-89 yoa, 464 annuitants
between 90-99 yoa and 7 annuitants over 100 yoa.

I have an idea that would be right up your alley, since you have nearly 10 full years of stats to play with.
1) Look at the trends for violent crime in the City from 2009-2017. Even a cursory glance shows relatively small year over year increases from '09-'13, with the big gains beginning in 2014 and trending steadily upward ever since.
2) Examining officer involved shootings over the same time period shows a similar trend, in that 2009-2013 was a fairly consistent number, with significant year over year reductions since 2014.
I bet your results would shock the bed-wetting liberals, especially using nothing but hard, cold numbers. The "inconvenient truth" is that when the police were allowed to be the police and had greater latitude in their use of force, violent crime was lower. The City was SAFER when the predators had a reason to be worried about their own ass. The Ferguson Effect is real, and the raw numbers at heyjackass.com prove it.

The F.O.P. also sent a message about today's bond hearing at 1000 hrs. I was walking out my door to attend the bond hearing when something told me to check the F.O.P.'s website. Sure enough, the bond hearing was changed to 0830 hrs. So I missed the hearing. I am retired now, and I have a new job. Today I have a day off and many things I need to do, but I felt I had a duty to be at that hearing. I hope your family was informed of this time change in a timely manner.
My father, retired CPD, died at the age of 94 and was receiving his pension to the very end.

I'd like to help you with an answer but what in the hell is a "pention???" If by some chance you are asking about a "pension' then go to the pension board website and look it up for yourself. Might learn something else besides this.

I have to keep deaths-by-accidental-shooting in a ranked order because I have a limited number of sympathy points to award. For example, as I go down the list I see toddlers who innocently get access to their parents' guns and get killed. There goes most of my sympathy points right there. Then lawful hunters who make lethal mistakes in the woods, a few more. Jittery homeowners who shoot people they mistake for burglars, okay I can scrounge up my last few sympathy points for them.
Then comes the belligerent, non-compliant armed suspect who gets what's coming to him and guess what? I am fresh out of sympathy points. Fuck 'em. They somehow missed the very basic lesson of the "CALM THE FUCK DOWN at ALL TIMES when in the presence of a police officer and you will survive intact" rule. That kind of stupidity earns no points whatsoever.

Heard from a reliable source, the pention that the Chicago Police Dept member receive stops once the member reaches the age of 88 years old. The age was decided as it being the life expectency of a department member. Even given you might not make it to 88 but what if you do. Thats it! Remember no Social Security and no pention. Can someone verify. This need to be changed.

The media loves underdogs. In a shooting,the police are never the underdogs. The truth has nothing to do with it. Underdogs must be exulted, even if they died with a gun in their hand pointed at the police.
