What do you get when you combine merit promotions and the Peter Principe? The CPD leadership team. All in way over their heads from top to bottom. A CPD leadership dinner on one of the dinner cruises on a yacht in Lake Michigan that was sinking would be a very good start. All hands lost.

OT: How in the hell does this happen? The nine newly promoted Lieutenants from the previous go-around showed up at Navy Pier yesterday with their families in tow to attend their graduation ceremony only to be turned around. They were informed by Academy staffers that they were not on the list to graduate. After leaving Navy Pier and arriving home, their were all contacted and directed to return to Navy Pier to participate in the ceremony. After spending another $20.00 on parking, they all crossed the stage.

Ben?!?!?! So pretty recently her tact team does a search warrant in 007 with her on scene and winds up shooting a dog. She had absolutely no clue how to handle this. She didn’t know that this required the Capt to come out, did not know the officer had to blow, did not know that an investigation had to be done. Prior to her being advised of such she already had animal control out to get the dog and ordered her people to pick up the castings. Yeah she is going to be a great Commander. Unfucking believable. Actually no it’s not just typical Chicago Way. Good luck to whoever gets her.

The funny part about the promotion system of the Chicago Police Department, is these merit promotees, most of them multiple times, really think they deserve it and are very qualified. They parade around in their uniforms with enough decorations to be mistaken for a South American Dictator ( none for actually doing police work), want you to buy tickets for their promotion parties, post photos of themselves in uniform on the walls, smile at family parties and get a pat on the back from everyone at what a grand job they did and what a success they are to climb the ranks of the police department. Meanwhile, the average person, black, white, hispanic, male and female, those without connections,, slave away, study through their furloughs and actually take promotion test seriously in an attempt to get somewhere in their chosen career. The, upon retirement, they take another job as head of a department touting their qualifications as a former leader in the police department. In most cases, this second job reveals their incompetence. Not to worry. The chosen few who are on the merit list are laughing at you.

That clown while working in 189 didnot know what constituted felony weight for a then 56 1/2 704 charge. But this is the dept they want.

Why aren't the noble leaders and friends of Eddie doing anything to curb violence in their own neighborhoods inhabited by those that they represent? When will they speak freely about the problems plaguing Shitcago since there will be little to no blowback if they say it? MT is a typical Chicago clout boy from a typical Chicago clout family. The fix was in before he even entered the Academy. He's arrogant and not very smart. And he's under the mistaken impression that he's actually earned his rank.
MT is a total douche bag and one of the dumbest Lt.’s we have in the history of this job. I use to work for him and can undoubtedly tell you he is a Moran. He knows absolutely nothing about search warrants, guns and knows ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about South side gangs and is a total fraud and does not belong where he’s at. From what I’m hearing they’ve already snipped him by relocating the Gun Teams (which pretty much carried the unit) to Gang Enforcement. What did he expect? He’s never there. As far as arrogance that’s an understatement, he thinks he’s hot shit and knows everything but is totally clueless on how things are done on the Southside. He should be shipped back to whatever soft Northside District he came from. I’m so glad I’m out of that Unit and no I didn’t get dumped.
