Crime is Down

  • Ridership on the L is falling, CTA figures show — a decline one expert attributes to “a perfect storm” of factors including competition from ride-sharing companies like Uber and Lyft.

For the first three months of this year, the CTA provided 52.7 million L rides — down 3.7 percent from 54.7 million in the same period last year.

And ridership was down at 119 of the 143 L stations versus last year, a Chicago Sun-Times analysis of CTA data found. Twenty-three saw an increase, while the Washington-Wabash station didn’t exist at the same time last year.
No word about crime though, even though there isn't any police presence to speak of and little old lady's are losing their eyeballs:
  • A 67-year-old woman is expected to have her left eye removed after an “unprovoked” punch from a south suburban man severely injured her last week aboard a Red Line train, Cook County prosecutors said at a court hearing Sunday.

Judge Stephanie K. Miller denied bail for Derrick L. McMath, 28, who was charged with aggravated battery involving great bodily harm of someone age 60 or older in the attack captured on CTA surveillance video.
We've said this in the past and it bears repeating - very few people care about the actual crime rate. We do because it's part of the job, something the bosses harp on, and directly effects political machinations.

What people DO care about is the perception of crime, and all the cameras aren't going to do a damn thing except provide nice pictures of you getting your ass beating, raped or shot. All the cops in the world aren't going to deter shit without a vigorous justification of their legal actions preserving law and order. All the arrests aren't going to mean squat without relentless prosecution and extensive jail time for repeat felons currently facing none.

Such an unspeakable crime. The elderly victim is gonna lose her eye. 67 years old, completely innocent and some savage changes her life in an instant. And in a few days the media won't be talking about this.

When the Sun Times and eventually the Tribune go the way of the dodo bird at least all the "reporters" can stand in the unemployment line knowing that, like Baghdad Bob, they toed the Dem party line until the last days. They will try to blame bloggers and the rise of electronic media for their demise but those outlets only allowed people to fully see the dishonesty and BS of these "reporters." The real cause of their demise will be their unwillingness actually exercise the slightest amount of ethics and report the truth as opposed to what they are told by their masters to report. The end of the Sun Times will happen shortly and the "reporters" there need to look in the mirror to find the real cause. The Trib will be close behind unless Bezos wants to add it to his propaganda machine.

Crime and wanton mayhem are an infection on society that we have to fight. Medicine is often bitter. And the antibiotic will sting. But the whole body will die without it. We have to do the unthinkable. The thugs should not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Then punish them. Not gently because they are persons of color, but harshly because they prevent society from being what it could be. Their violence is without reason. It is stupid. And stupidity should hurt. Let them do penance. Throw them in a penitentiary apart from all and everything they know, let them know solitude. Give up on reform, make them conform. To civilized behavior. No matter how long it takes. It will be far cheaper to do this than to live with the fallout of not doing so. Treat them Biblically. Eye for an eye sounds Draconian, until you’re down to one eye. Better yet, let them sample Sharia justice.

I've said it a million times. Law & order is a thin veneer that many people are willing to trade in order to make their lives more convenient and "enriched".

Don't get butt hurt that law enforcement officers don't enforce the law anymore but simply respond to record the occurrence of a crime. There's no upside to "serve & protect" the general public. Easier to just show up and protect the scene for forensics or the ME.

The people are getting the community they've always wanted.

This speech applies to Derrick McMath, even though he is 28... the liberal see his as child--

Who was the person who said this back in 1996?, which most definitely applied to 2018 as it did in yester year

“They are often the kinds of kids that are called ‘superpredators.’ No conscience, no empathy,” she said at the time. “We can talk about why they ended up that way, but first we have to bring them to heel.”

Also... say an asshole like so, existed in the communist eastern block countries during the soviet era... what would they had did to this asshole?

Even if all those things happened, it still wouldnt stop the criminals from hunting in their established for them gun free zones.

There is no eliminating crime, or nabbing all the criminals. That truth means the only REALITY BASED solution is people going armed to DEFEND THEMSELVES.

Fellas, gals, it has to be admitted, accepted and then adhered to. No more permission slips, no more fallacy called illegal gun or POSSESSION equating to USE much less unlawful use.

Stop the madness. Stop the Nonsense. Let go of the half century of gun control zealotry and just get back to protecting peoples RIGHTS to protect and defend themselves.

Yes, it is that simple.

Praying for that poor lady, I’ve victim of a hate crime, and you will notice none of the elected officials none of the so-called reverence are calling for the federal government the department of justice to move forward with a hate crime which this is without any doubt at all. Like many of sad if the roles were reversed if it was a white guy hitting a black old lady we cannot contain the vicious riots civilized people though don’t riot, white people Caucasian people are being battered and beaten by many black people that is not racism that is a reality. Whatever happened to parenting in the black community? Why are black so-called children running wild all over the place causing so much murder mayhem and bloodshed? I guess the simple answer is there is absolutely no punishment in jail for any of them whether they are adults or children and the extra violence continue.

When you have a society that is in favor of criminals, in favor of giving billions to illegal immigrants, where the elected break federal laws and laugh about it, where are you bastardize the hard-working police officers in the city of Chicago through the media which is totally dishonest, through the elected officials were also totally dishonest what else do you expect to happen? Officers cannot be the police in a current world of ISR, TRR, Body Cameras. That is why society is in free fall collapse. Take those things away, and about 10 other things and we will have a civil society.

Then they’ll change the subject and say we should be worrying about the REAL problem, “systemic” racism and lack of funding for mental health in low-income communities.

Then his 60-year-old grandmother will chime in and say she raised him because his dad jumped ship before he was born and his mother was a drug addict. She’ll say he has a nice smile and likes to help Gramma in the kitchen and he would never do anything violent. His past crimes were just “mistakes” and he’s just “misunderstood.”

Then Foxx will say “we have too many black and brown boys in jail” and after being convicted, he’ll get a year or two of probation.

Because of the SA, the judges who keep them on the streets, it's not safe anywhere here anymore. Chicago's never been completely safe, really, but the brazen sudden attacks by these thugs lately is totally out of control! This is why everyone's moving out of Chicago. For those of us remaining here, things have to change before all hell breaks loose. Thus city is going to turn into a city exclusively of residents black and brown, with thugs like this one preying on the brown half of the population. I sent an email to the "good" alderman:

Just curious how you made this determination?

A person of interest was being questioned Friday afternoon after police released surveillance photos of a man suspected of punching and seriously injuring a woman in her 60s on a northbound Red Line train in Rogers Park, the third violent incident on the line this week, according to Chicago police.

The 67-year-old woman from Evanston was reading a Kindle when a man approached and, “completely unprovoked,” hit her in the face around noon Thursday as the train approached the Jarvis station, police said.

“We learned today that our victim may lose her eyesight as a result,” chief police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a tweet. “CPD needs assistance in unspeakable attack on a senior citizen”

Ald. Joe Moore, 49th Ward, said the attacker apparently was “suffering from some mental health issues.”

Response today:

Hello, and thanks for your email, which I will share with Alderman Moore.

Funny how Eddie just keeps shuffling the deck, never demotes the poor performing, laughing stock, incompetent exempt staff! Wonder how much they kick back to stay in those bloated overpaid positions? Please cite these examples of the police looking the other way or blaming the victim when the victim loses an eye in an unprovoked, racially-motivated, vicious attack. This piece of shit isn't likely to have much, so a civil suit would have minimal impact. What he needs is a few years behind bars, with a rape or beating thrown in. This is not an example of what women have to suffer daily. This is an extreme example of what happens when a criminal thug feels free to do as he wishes, and doesn't care about other people. Trying to turn this into some feminist/battered woman crusade is just ridiculous and unnecessary.

You know what else is down? The city's population. People can not afford expensive property, property taxes, high rents, etc. My sister bought a house in Hammond, Indiana for $69,000. She will spend $45,000 in upgrading it. Let that sink in high tax Illinois.

She should have bought further south and/or east. Lake County Indiana is one of the most polluted areas in the US. Hammond hasn't been good for years.

If he has to pay a settlement from a civil suit that will make him think twice about assaulting anyone much less an older woman. This is an example of what women have to suffer daily. The police can not be blamed for this assault but there have been cases when the police looked the other way or blamed the victim, a few not many. Sue him and don't wait a few years and then come with the this penalty is too much garbage. Let him pay a bill for ten to fifteen years as she will never have an eye again.

Sue an alley rat, for all the effect it would have.

Except for those sticky fingers on those lawyerly mitts....

....no, nothing there to pilfer, so, file a lawsuit?

Or are you betting this mutt will run the ghetto lottery game?

Its disgusting what happened to this woman. Wish someone could brutalize this thug and make him lose an eye or two. At least he was denied bail.

Since I can't legally carry on the CTA, I won't patronize it. Fuck the liberal politicians, I drive everywhere and avoid downtown.

Cta again gives new meaning to “stabbin cabin”

Chicago resident stabbed 'more than a dozen' times in attack on Blue Line platform in Oak Park, police say

http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/oak-park/news/ct-oak-park-cta-stabbing-tl-0621-story.html

Ahhhhh.... Oak Park, land of nuts and money.

And so intimately close to..... Austin.

And the Eisenhower.

And the, what color is it now, (don't know, don't care), CTA elevated.

And just a hop, skip and a beatdown from.... The Community!!!

It takes a village of puppy shit brains to fuck up a once, long ago, decent nearby suburb.

That little old woman ought to sue the living shit out of the CTA, the City, everyone who voted against allowing law-abiding citizens to avail themselves of the 2nd Amendment on Mass Transit, for everyone engaging in "Restorative Justice", and for those who fail to prosecute, and incarcerate criminals, and for those who engage in "affordable bail" policies contrary to law.

Sue the mutherfuckers personally and professionally with a Sect. 1983 lawsuit. Name EVERYONE who wrote the policy, read the policy, voted on the policies, posted the signs, etc. As for $40 billion, make it a class action and watch these fuckers get the nervous shits fast.

Did you read what you wrote? You sound like an idiot. Sue the guy that posted the signs? Sue someone who voted?

Yeah, I read what I wrote. Sue everyone who participated in this anti-2A, communist crap. People who put up the signs participated in it - they'll claim they were "just following orders" just like the Nazi's trying to make excuses in WW II. People who voted on the policies - admittedly that should have been "voted FOR the policies" - damned auto-correct, so sorry about that.

This anti-constitutional nonsense only happens and works when a bunch of fools get together and vote for it, implement it, etc. Time to start suing those who support or create it so it gives them some pause BEFORE they concoct this idiocy.

Right now, the City operates under the "Fuck it, let them sue us - we have loads of cash and time" scenario. Figuring that anyone upset about it won't have as much time or money as they have, and will run out of either or both long before it's completed litigating. And even if the person suing doesn't - the City still accomplishes its anti-constitutional goals for a period of time. And if they lose and have to pay (as they have in the past), they could give a shit less because it's not their money! It's the taxpayers. So they basically win.

The only way to get such nonsense to stop, is to give them skin in the game. A 1983 suit does that. Once THEY have to start paying out above and beyond THEIR insurance or bank accounts, they'll reconsider.

6/18/2018 02:16:00 AM

The truth is an asshole like this would have been shot or spent his life in a gulag work camp in the Soviet Union. In modern day Iran he would without doubt be put down like the dog that he is.Pretty pathetic that in todays US you can look at the USSR or some goofy Shariah law state and realize they had some things going better than we do.Freedoms and Liberty are sort of meaningless when people are being victimized by animals regularly.

Fuck that, don't even bother. Just shoot the perpetrator dead. It's the Chicago way. She won't get jail time.

Then do it.

You present yourself as one who knows how.

Design your template.

Vet it thoroughly for vunerabilities.

Hone it to razor sharpness.

Then do what the other side does, gather the ammunition, aka, complaintants/plaintiffs, load and lock your case, and file it.

You know the method, you have the means, just do it.

I was a red line rider for years (oh man do I have some stories), switched to the brown. It's a longer walk and the train moves slower, but it's cleaner and less beggars/sketchy people (because the line isn't running south to 95th, just how it is). Not saying it's perfect, but if the brown line stops are also near you and you can deal with a longer commute it's an improvement.
